Bought a tarot deck from them and the tax was s dolllar more than should have been. I mentioned it…read moreand the salesperson just sighed and said, Ya, government. I was confused so qent outside and calculated the tax and went back in, super polite, and said there's an error on the tax you charged me. A different woman told me what I "wasn't seeing" was a small sign somewhere says they charge $1 shipping fee on all tarot cards. I'm like, a shipping fee?? Like, to have your product sent to your store? Shouldn't that just be reflected in the sticker price the? At that point, she got super snarky and defensive, saying she'd "give me a loonie" if that would make me feel better. When I said, yes that woukd be good, she was even snottier. As I left I told her I'd always gotten a negative vibe in their, a basket of cards either fell or was pushed of the counter. She then snorted and said, Yep the cards really don't like you. All I did was object to a "shipping fee" in a retail store. Seems pretty scammy.

I had my cards read by Jennifer as a Christmas gift on my weekend trip to Penticton. I wasn't sure…read morewhat to expect as I'm not really sure on how I feel about "all that stuff". I have long, complicated feelings on the subject that shall remain unexplained. Let's just say I went into this to humor the gift giver and see what a tarot reading looked like. Jennifer was very kind and came highly recommended. I didn't offer information and she didn't really ask for much. She told me about myself, which was so odd to hear coming out of someone else's mouth. She was eerily accurate and it made me uncomfortable. It was a lot of things I don't ever want to talk about with another human being, things no one but me should have any thoughts on. I don't know what these things are supposed to do, or be like, but I left and I wept in someone's arms. It didn't answer any questions, or tell me about my past or my future. Instead I sit here pondering what I'm doing with my life and what I would like to see my life become. I left with more questions and the desire to know what lies ahead once I have the answers. And that's pretty cool. So, whether it be as a laugh or you're searching for an answer or you want some gorgeous crystals and stones, go check them out.

I recently attended Jess' psilocybin 1 day retreat with my sister ( was a perfect birthday gift )…read moreUpon arriving to Jessica's serene hidden gem we were greeted by the positive trip leaders Jess and Jen. Welcoming us into her beautiful, safe space we got the grand tour while we chatted like old friends. Then it was time to begin by choosing our own dose and what we were called or guided to enjoy. At that moment the anxiety and choices I had about the day were melted away by the carefree, calm and protective atmosphere created by our space holding leaders. Our group was small and our day was a choose your own adventure, filled with thoughtful and creative ideas from our host Starting us off with a guided meditation and grounding at the lake...the beauty was indescribable and a perfect way to start. Next was an intense sound bath in the comfort of Jess' home . She guided us to delve inwards into our colourful journey of healing . Wow was it pretty .... And the reiki drumming was powerful to say the least. Being in the presence of two souls who were there to protect and guide made for an easier journey inwards. Feeling positive , supported and held by their endless uplifting energy kept us on track and our feelings flowing After the sound bath and fading of the psilocybin it was time for the grazing of snacks to begin Lastly we all got 1:1 private sessions regarding our individual intentions for the day. And all I can say is wow what a gift you hold Jess! And am ever thankful and grateful that you shared it with us. You have sparked my healing journey and look forward to many more sessions in the future This session left me feeling much lighter and wanting to learn more about myself and my journey... Thank you Jess and Jen for your support and help in the process of unloading a lifetime of baggage! Also thank you to my sister for knowing this is what we needed

We liked a lot of the art in the studio. It's a bunch of different artists as well as art classes. Jenny, the owner, had some great information and stories about some of the different artists. We ended up liking a print of a horse. Jenny said she could get it shipped to us in Texas. After some back and forth texting, she did! We purchased the print and it was shipped safe and sound to our home in Texas. We love the unique art and we will always stop by this gallery to see what is available. Great art and great customer service!

The wine was more full bodied and flavorful than other wines tasted this trip. Wines for nonmembers were in the $29ish range. Members in the $22ish range. A quick note for US peeps, as with other establishments , The credit card terminal or processor offered prices in Canadian and U.S. dollars. I paid in canadian, and a check of my credit card proved that was the best choice, saving 3% on the purchase due to my credit card exchange rate being better than the credit card processor.

Lang was our first stop of the day. A little rainy but at least it wasn't scorching hot. Teresa and Robert gave us a rundown of the history of the property, history of the vines, showed us where everything is planted and pointed out places of interest directly across from their property on the other side of the lake. We were fortunate enough to try tank samples of the new rose due out later this year as Robert talked about its current state and what he was going to do to it next. We sampled through a good portion of the lineup and it did not disappoint. The rose bubble was beautiful and the Viognier was right on point. Also try their foch... it is gorgeous.

The Summerland Museum is a small quaint museum nestled in the heart of Summerland, BC. It's full…read moreof history of the town as well as the region. I'm sure it has parking, but we just parked in a lot next to some apartments and walked through the grass. Summerland is a laid back town and we didn't see any parking tickets or speed traps while there. The museum was a wonderful find for us because the administrator, Sherril Foster, was incredibly helpful and patient! I went in with some family members looking for history of our family and how they came to Summerland. Ms. Foster was kind enough to take out all the old binders, photos, and records she had of our two sets of ancestors that traveled from Japan to Summerland. We spent almost two hours with Ms. Foster and in the end we walked out with a huge amount of information and clarity on our roots we didn't imagine we'd find in a small sleepy town museum. Ms. Foster also allowed us to make copies of her records about our family. She normally would make the copies, but she did more research while she allowed me to use her copier in her office. She also plans to scan and email several photos that include my ancestors from the 1920's in Summerland. There is a computer with internet access that we were able to use to do more research on. There were also several books for sale, one of which we purchased because it mentioned our family in it. As we did some research, my husband wandered the museum and took a look at the displays. There were several interesting displays and we were impressed with the level of displays for a museum in a small town that exists on donations. Make sure to donate as you come in, as there is no entrance fee! And say hi to Ms. Sherril Foster, she's one helpful lady!
