When attempting to leave my driveway they had blocked the road without informing me that the road would be blocked and did not communicate well with me when I was trying to go to work. When I got home they had left a giant pile of logs in a very inconvenient location which I had to then remove myself with a chainsaw. The owner acted very irritated that they had to move. No aloha. 1 star read more

I've had Tai and Issac and his crew help me with my Ohia removals and topping. Complex jobs that they took on and did a great job. Also, they have a large/powerful chipper and work efficiently. My neighbor gives me a hard time about my trees because they decided to build they're infrastructure next to my existing ohia's but as a relief for me they always come through and solved the issues for me. Very thankful for them and they're skillset. Recommend. read more

Did not check with owner, so took down wrong tree (gardener told them wrong tree; not completely their fault, but had they asked for a picture, which gardener had, they would have realized it was the wrong tree). Besides taking down wrong tree, THEY LEFT A MESS! The stump was more than a foot high. Sawdust everywhere. I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. read more

Sunshine Tree Service. I want to let my neighbors know that I hired Sunshine Tree Service to remove a palm tree and stump. They removed the tree but never came back for the stump. They did get paid in full! He came back once and said I don't have the stump remover with me I'll be back....well that was 2 months ago. I call them everyday and NO response. Please be aware of this company. Too many honest people/companies to use this company!! STAY AWAY from Sunshine Tree Service I am writing this review for my mother Ruth Boyer she lives in Holualoa read more

I am off island and needed a large tree taken down that was in pretty bad shape. Tai was familiar with the area and was very responsive to emails. I asked for before and after photos of which he delivered quickly. He also gave me options for the work and we were able to get the job done a little cheaper by us doing some of the ckean up. I will definitely be using him again. read more

July 2019 Update - We have been Big Fan's of Sunshine Tree Services, over the last 5 to 6 years. You may read the older posts here on Yelp. * Tai is an Outstanding, Energetic, Smart, Young Business Excellent Customer Service, an Entrepreneur, with an infectious Smile, and who presents himself in the only way that counts ... In July, just less than a week ago, we had hired former Air Force Captain, John Gailliard, from Kona Creative Images, for a Drone Photography & Video shoot; for our Magic Sands home. We needed our home and property to be in excellent readiness for the shoot, last Friday. Contacted Tai again for a close cut on our Royal palms and Samoan coco's, and then had the landscaper's perform the finishing touches on the bushes and lawn. One thing you should all understand is that Tai and his crew ... do Clean and Clear up the site, after finishing all the work. Our's got a bit messy as Tai had to cut down one of the Royal Palms that had started Leaning towards the Cable & Power Lines. Don't wait to do this as it happened to one of our neighbors, and they WISHED now that they had had Tai at Sunshine Tree Services. We should have been be featured on Home & Gardens ... I had over 700 coffee trees cut down and stacked on the perimeter of our property. I called Sunshine Tree Services after seeing their flyer. Tai answered on the first ring, showed up right on time to give an estimate, came with his crew on the day promised and worked smoothly and safely chipping everything and dumping it into a nice neat pile. Tai is a pro with great equipment, a hard working crew and a rock solid work ethic. I am very happy I hired him and will do so again the moment I need his services. read more

Tai and his guys do fantastic tree work. They do what they say they will do, and work joyfully. At one point all of them were singing and at another time laughing. What a joy to have and hear in the hot August sun! And let me tell you about clean up! They left my place better than they found it. I could not recommend them more highly! read more

AMAZING!!! We hired them to take down some big African Tulip trees. They took those trees down and cleaned up other trees in your yard. Their cleanup was simply amazing. There is no left over debris anywhere in our yard. Tai and the crew were meticulous. If I ever need another tree taken down I'll definitely call Tai. read more
