This is one of the few Mitsuwa that doesn't have a food court (San Gabriel is another one without). The premade food section was surprisingly pretty good, better options than the Torrance or Santa Monica locations, imo. They do carry the same poke bowl that is also sold at Torrance. The store closes at 9:00pm, so the premade food section is pretty much cleared out and the self checkout is closed by around 8:00pm. The late hours actually got the busiest because only one staffed cash register was open and customers had to get in line instead of the self checkout. The store is clean and spacious, lots of self checkouts that are open during the day, and the bathrooms were clean (just need to get the code from a staff member!). I came three times on a weekday, once a little after lunch and another right around 5:30 and then around 8:00. Parking was a breeze every time. They have plenty of parking adjacent to the store. The other side of the shopping center gets a little busy, but Mitsuwa is at the comfortable corner closest to the train tracks. Getting out of the parking lot can be challenging because Tampa is a busy street and some people try to make a left turn out (I have my opinions about that lol). If heading out towards CSUN, the shopping center also has two exits out to Nordhoff so that worked well for me. I was in the area for a few job interviews... If I am hired nearby I'm definitely coming to this Mitsuwa a lot :)

I initially didn't believe that it was not home cooked. To my surprise when I went there the food was exactly the same as I remembered it at the party. The restaurant is located inside of a supermarket on the right hand side as soon as you walk in. There are plenty of parking in the lot. Pros: They have the best sigsig (fried chopped pork skin with onion, lime juice & jalapeño) I have had in my life. Their Pancit is mind blowing. Sometimes it's best to place your order the day before or early on that day. Great price point, large portions. Friendly patrons. Cons: Food sells fast, especially the sigsig. Long line if you didn't place your order over the phone. Overall the best island pacific out of all the franchise that I tried. Well done you guys!

Very disappointing experience at Island Pacific…read more As always, this is not the first time I've had issues with the fish department. I specifically told the employee multiple times to cut my milkfish only and NOT clean it because I've had bad experiences before and wanted to avoid another mistake. I repeated "cut only" several times to make sure the instructions were clear. Unfortunately, the employee still cleaned the fish, removed the scales, and prepared it completely differently from what I requested. This ruined the preparation I needed for my paksiw. To make matters worse, another employee came out and started arguing with me, saying I should have been clearer next time. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and apologizing, they blamed the customer. The ongoing communication issues, lack of attention to customer instructions, and unprofessional attitude are becoming frustrating. When the same problems happen repeatedly, it's no longer an isolated mistake--it's a training and customer service problem. This store is starting to feel like a circus. Management needs to improve employee communication skills, customer service, and accountability. Customers should not have to argue just to get a simple request followed.

I've been going to Rajni since 2006, and I can vouch that she's the absolute BEST when it comes to doing brows and facials. She knows what her clients want, and she is very professional and accommodating. I moved to OC for a year and my brows got messed up bad time, rajni took three sittings to fix my brows and gave me tips on how to improve them. The salon is very decently priced and her gentle personality makes it a treat to come and get my services. The grocery store is a added bonus because I can pick my stuff up and be out in a jiffy. Do yourselves a favor and go see Rajni for your brows and facial! read more

I absolutely love this store if I need something I get it from here and also I get my eyebrows done here almost every two weeks and sometimes if I have a party I go there to get a facial or just gat a cleansing. The store it self has a lot of variety more than I have seen here in the valley and I've been living for almost 20 years now and by far it is the BIGGEST Indian store here. You can find the best produce here and it's always fresh anytime of day. I definitely recommend this store very highly and you should visit this store they also have the most loving customer service. read more
