I do wash&fold, and not only do they manage to get the toughest stains out after one wash (light beige cotton shorts after a day of hiking in the rain anyone?), they also do an incredible job of folding everything exactly the way clothes should be folded. So now for a little over $15 I get 3 bags of perfectly folded, fresh smelling laundry, all separated by gender (no more searching for my pink socks among my boyfriend's boxers). I hope these wonderful people stay in business forever, and I'm certainly never taking my laundry any place else.

Here today! I needed…read morea dry cleaners and Yelp recommended Winn Street Laundry, it was within 2 miles of my hotel so perfect. Winn Street Laundry does their laundry on premise but they send their dry cleaning out. I'm not use to their prices, they have a minimum weight and Jezzzzus, their prices was astronomical! I asked how much and gasps behind me for asking and the lady at the counter "This is Boston" look and their awards let me know YOU WANT YOUR CLOTHES DONE RIGHT, SCREW THE PRICES. $7 freakin dollars for a single shirt? It was either my ego that agreed, determined to look Winn Street Laundry starched down and pressed or didn't wanna look cheap and couldn't afford their services. I said out loud "Good grief, I pay $2.79 in Houston for a man buttoned down laundry, heavy starched shirt". I felt the evil eyes trying to climb my Psalm 91 hedges of protection because one of the two tunnels here was closed due to construction and the traffic put commuter's at least 30 minutes behind and in traffic. These Bostonians need to fire up a joint which is legal here and CHILL OUT:)))) Anywho, my dry cleaning was superb and the heavy starch I requested cut my neck and was ready before time. My shirt collars was white so I had not a one complaint for my HARD earned mula. I received a text when my clothes were ready along with a reminder of the price, I like that. I learned a valuable lesson from Winn; order some white polo's from Amazon, buy Spray n Wash along with spray starch and save that money for 2 16 inch bundles of human hair:))) Here today! More than that, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Case in point, today, which motivated me to write this. The staff turned what could have been a disaster into a pleasant experience! I had loaded a LOT of clothing in a 75 lbs. machine, and the machine ate two tokens ($2). Asked for help, and she couldn't get the tokens to work, and couldn't get the machine to cooperate with app pay. The other large washer didn't take app payments, and they don't carry money, so I could have been out $2 But no! The wonderful woman instead paid $2 for my drying! This whole time she was friendly and apologetic, sorry for how long it was taking, asking if I needed to go and offering to do my clothing for me if I had to go. I didn't have anywhere I needed to be so I staid, but she was just so nice. This place is great. If you don't have in-unit laundry, come here.

The machines are great except for the drying machines that always seem to have gunk in them or are damaged because previous customers leave nails that get caught on to the machine. There's only a handful of folding tables but they're spacious. On warmer days they prop open the door that often times has a nice breeze and airs out the place but what I dislike about having the door open is when customers as well as the employees smoke right by the door while people are folding their clean laundry.

But somehow, as soon as it hit NOON, crowds came in and all of the dryers were used up. Staff also started to supervise machines and put clothes onto carts so others can use them. So I advise you stick around while doing your laundry here. As for prices, I saw washers starting at $3.75 to $13.75 for the largest. Dryers are .25 for 5 mins. I put in $1.25 as a test and it understandably didn't do much since I had to put my large load into one dryer. I do appreciate that they use a card system and staff is really helpful in teaching you how to use em.

I'm a big fan of the filtered water they use, as I feel it makes my laundry feel cleaner. It's always a little busy when I go, but it's a big facility. Everyone is friendly, and the atmosphere has an authentic Lowell vibe. The only thing I would like to see improved is the dryer times. While it's not too pricy, sometimes even separating my loads into four dryers can take around 45 minutes to fully dry.

Bathrooms could be a little cleaner as there's been an odor. I've also seen the washer drums gunked up with dog or pet hairs so they're not the most sanitary and clean. Cross-contamination from other people's use of harsh smelling detergents and dryer sheets isn't ideal; the machines clearly look like they're weathered down from many years of usage. I think they should consider replacing some of the front and top-loading washers too that are out-of-service. Plenty of parking.

When I asked when they would be ready, the woman told me "tomorrow around this time" and was quite rude. For how much you're paying, this place is not a good option. I will not use them again. I will update when I pick up the clothes tomorrow (if they're even ready by then) to comment on quality. Avoid this place.
