Today --- 2nd May 2017 --- I completed my second visit with Family Chiropractor Dr. Beth Cooper. And, I have already begun to note a cessation, an easing, really, of the Tinnitus ("ringing/humming/wheezing in both my ears"). Mine is not a typical Chiropractic matter. I shared with her, last week, my concern about a four year "battle" with Tinnitus ("ringing in BOTH ears"). It seemed to have crept up on me. Or, rather, I began paying greater attention to it following the end of my focus on being the Primary Care Giver --- for over 14 years --- for my mother who passed away from Alzheimer's Disease at age 91 in October 2014. Foulkes] While I only noticed the noise about a year before her death, I probably had it, yet paid little attention to it, more than four years. While my primary doctor has not offered a solution or explanation for me, except to refer me to an Ear and Nose specialist, I did seek out alternative treatments --- e.g., Various Homeopathic Remedies, Lipo Flavonoids, related/other Vitamins/Minerals, etc. I even attended those "Free" Hearing Test Offers only to learn that I have, and my mom had, GREAT hearing and and that neither of us needed the hearing aids they were selling. Following my mom's passing three years ago, and with greater focus on me, it appears that the noise (really, less ringing, and more consistent high pitched, annoying, humming/wheezing) increased. or reached more of my attention. Given that my mom's dad wore a hearing aid most of his life as a result of decades of work in the loud, noisy, Fullers Earth mines in north Florida, I wondered if I were losing my hearing. (But this was not a genetic related matter.) No, as I learned, I was not. Then, of course, looking for a reason, I thought back to that Alice Cooper Concert at the Hollywood Sportatorium back in 1973, during my Junior year in high school. At one point I had to leave the concert hall because the music was SO LOUD, SO PAINFUL, that it felt as if ice picks were being jammed into both of my ears. Yet, in the 40 or more years since that concert, and after having lived and worked in over 85 nations on 5 continents as a Medical Anthropologist with the World Health Organization, Peace Corps, National Science Foundation and Fulbright Fellowships, I had no problems with my ears. Only until the past four years did the Tinnitus present in this noisome way. As I said at the beginning of this POSITIVE REVIEW of Dr. Beth Cooper and the Sunshine Chiropractic Center, after only two sessions, at age 61,I have noticed some relief. Needless-to-say, I look forward, with great anticipation and hope, to continuing the treatments provided by Dr, Cooper. Treatments that will divorce me PERMANENTLY from this unwelcomed noisy aural intruder. Thanks Dr. Cooper. Let's get on with the eviction of this invasive Tinnitus. read more

At this point I am beyond amazed how much Chiropractic care does such a beneficial work for the body. I have been going here for the past couple years and have just been so grateful for Dr Beth's care. Today has been the day that has really made me thankful for her care. My 1 year old son is on the verge of walking and has his feet externally rotated(facing out) more than should be. I've noticed it's been hindering him front walking which has been making me so concerned. I went to Dr Beth today to have him adjusted and vualam, his feet are pointing straighter than I've ever seen before!! just after 1 visit!!! I am beyond grateful. Every time he stood up tonight, his feet were pointing forward. I was so so so so happy, on the verge on crying. When my son was an infant, he was constipated consistently and one adjustment took care of it from that time on. A year prior to having my son, my back was in pain from working as a nurse. After three treatments my pain started to diminish. After about 5, it was completely gone and has never returned. I'm so glad I go here, not only because of the results, but because of her knowledge of it all and the explanations she gives me regarding how the adjustments will help me and my son with the back, the constipation, the external rotations etc. I can say I honestly trust her with my back and my sons. I brought my 3 month old to Dr. Beth because he had been suffering from terrible acid reflux since birth. He is exclusively breastfed so I had already eliminated a variety of foods from my diet but with no change. After every feeding he was throwing up large amounts of breastmilk. When he wasn't throwing up, you could see a clear fluid spew out and he would make a face, shudder and cry. After doing research, I realized that going to a chiropractor was worth a try especially since he had gotten stuck during the birthing process. I was so nervous. I had never been to a chiropractor so the image of cracking my baby's neck and "getting adjusted" seemed so violent for a newborn. When I came to Dr. Beth, she was AMAZING. She explained everything in detail, showed me what she was going to do and was so sweet with my baby. The experience was nothing like I had imagined. It was very gentle and he quietly lay on me while she checked his back and neck and made adjustments. She also used a gentle machine with vibration which now makes him giggle. After four appointments, he now smiles, laughs, and cooes while she adjusts him and his reflux is basically gone. I have been going to Dr. Beth Cooper for 15+ years for my chiropractic care. She helps to keep me well adjusted and feeling good. Dr. Beth uses several ways to adjust and does whatever is suitable to each patients personable problem.She is very sincere and cares very deeply for all of her patients. Her receptionist Tayna is very friendly and knowledgable and can answer any questions that you might have concerns about. Scott the massage therapist has been with Dr. Beth for many years and is excellent. You feel wonderful after one of his massages. Let's just say that life keeps me on my toes, up and down ladders and quite literally running all over South Florida. If not for the very pleasant and professional talents of Dr. Beth Cooper none of this could be possible. You see, I have this condition of arthritis in my feet along with lower back and neck issues - not fun, not good. Both my husband and I had a broken bed frame that caused us a lot of back pains, spasms sleepless nights and headaches. Dr. Cooper carefully mapped out a plan to help us realign our spines through a series of adjustments and have us do stretches from home.
