Further, it was spread by some type of heavy equipment, leaving ruts showing the tread marks. We have an acre of land. Had the septic person asked where we would like the clay, we would have directed him to an out of sight, far corner of the property. His response on the phone? "I am not a landscaper, I'm a septic guy." Hey, it doesn't take a landscaper to know that clay compacted by a back hoe on top of an existing lawn is a very bad idea. I certainly hope that the $4000 we paid resulted in what we needed for our septic system; it clearly resulted in what will likely be hundreds of dollars of lawn repair.

I had a team come out before Ryan, that I had never seen before. They did a poor job, which is unusual, and I had to call again; this time requesting Ryan. Long version Brown water was rising from tenants' bathtubs, and toilets wouldn't flush, despite regular septic servicing. Called my regular company (now previous) in the morning requesting emergency service, but was told all their appointments were emergencies and it would be a few days. I understand that this is the beginning of peak season, but I've been a faithful client. Maybe they were having a bad day, but I doubt there was fecal matter in their tub. I called and emailed over a dozen companies, most did not reply. A few replied, saying they couldn't help, one very kindly recommended other companies, including Johnson Septic. Johnson agreed to make room in their schedule the next day, and told me their prices, which are based on the volume removed. I did not feel that I was up-charged for the emergency nature. I called for my service window this morning, and received a call when the truck was 25 minutes away. The techs were extremely polite ("Sir/Ma'am" polite) and answered all my questions, even though I asked some twice. They found the problem (a wipesburg), removed it, and flushed the tanks. My tenants are happy, I'm happy. I hope you will be happy with their service too.

I felt confident after the inspector…read moreleft; however, after moving into my house, I soon discovered something major that was missed. When investigating the best way to remove tiles from my basement, I discovered my floor tiles could be asbestos. This was never mentioned by the inspector. In fact, he told us we should replace the flooring because it was cracking and damaged. I sent a sample out to a lab and my fears were confirmed. With a one year old daughter, this is not acceptable conditions to have in my house. Now I am stuck paying $3000 to have the asbestos removed because the floor tiles are in such bad shape. I contacted NWI Inspection Service and spoke with Dennis. He seemed to be apologetic, but mentioned that he cannot for sure say whether or not I was offered asbestos testing over the phone. I told him I was not, but regardless, an inspector should suspect asbestos floor tiles and suggest testing be done. This would've allowed me to negotiate a better price on the house. He agreed with me. After we hung up, I forwarded him the emails that were about scheduling the appointment to prove there was no mention of asbestos testing. I told him I believed he should pay for it and my family attorney believed he should as well. He responded claiming that this is not something a trained inspector would be able to notice by the naked eye except through a lab test, which I didn't ask for. He then copied the pre-agreement I signed where it states they are not responsible for testing or mentioning hazardous materials. As a business, I find this to be completely unacceptable. Are we supposed to ask about asbestos testing before we suspect asbestos in the house? Shouldn't the inspector tell us he suspects it? What is the point of an inspection if they won't point those things out? We relied upon NWI Home Inspection Service to make sure my house was safe for my family. If the inspector had told us he suspected asbestos, it would've been taken care of before we ever bought the house. If you see this company and need an inspection, I would advise you to move on. Besides the asbestos floor tile that was missed, two leaking hot water pipes were missed as well. This is very disappointing and very costly!
