Found out about this place about a year ago, I love giving this place my business. Most helpful and friendly staff. It's a shame after 50 years I hear they are going out of business. Some how I kind of adopted my friends dog, but I realize I couldn't bring him home because of my nephews were allergic to man's best friend. Oh well, I can't bring him home, but I get visitation to see the little guy, and I don't have to pick up his poops. So I guess, I got the best of both worlds. Anyway, the puppy needed to get his Parvo and rabies vaccine shots, and my friend told me about Sunset Sadlery & feed, and both shots were under $10.00 for both them. I was beyond stunned to hear such a low cost for pre-measured vaccination shot, but just remember...you have to do the vaccination yourself, but the puppy didn't even feel a thing. Sunset Saddlery looks like a mini farm, and it probably was one before the rest of the Henderson industrial park was there. You'll see chickens and pigeons in cages, and a few chickens running around the parking lot. Located near Sunset and Boulder Highway, it's tucked away at the end of Elliott road, but you can still enter from boulder highway if you know the old road. read more

If you need a product they will order it for you. They have all the best selling items without it being overwhelming on choices. They have a great selection of gently used saddles and tack - I've found some rare gems at great prices. They cater to both English and western riders - though the don't sell clothing (except for horses)! They have great prices and they really appreciate their customers! I have been going to Sunset Saddlery and Feed for many years. For a long time, it was the only feed store close to the Henderson area. The owner, Gail, is very knowledgeable and kind. The store carries saddles, and tack, horse, dog, pig, goat, chicken, parrot and even tortoise food! While they do sell hay, did you know that your church/group can actually RENT straw bales for your event? Yep. The folks at Sunset rent hay bales. What an excellent resource for groups having fall events! The store is small and has been here a long time. The employees, like Sharon, are kind and know their stuff. If they don't have what you need they will be able to point you in the right direction. By the way, they have new and used saddles.... so if you are in the market, certainly check them out. If for some reason you get a bag of feed that isn't good, you need to contact the store as soon as you realize it. This happens with all sorts of feeds at every feed store in town. I have never known Gail not to make legitimate complaints right. Awesome little store. read more

This place is ok if you live near by. Mostly generic brands of feed at brand name prices. So no bargains here! They claim most of their stuf is Purina off labled branding... Besure you smell the feed, bought some rancid smelling rooster mix the other day. Also they charge extra for credit cards, which is against visa's merchant policy, so not much integrity at this place! and sometimes they charge tax on poultry feed, sometimes they put its tax exempt, so watch your receipt. They are very nice at this place, just be careful! they know what their doing... read more

If you don't see what you are looking for just ask, if they don't have it they can order it or help you locate another shop that does. I went here to buy some Clorhexadine in a gallon concentrate . I use it for my english bulldog , folds, tail, volva and in between her toes. English bulldogs need all this care once or twice a day. if not they get yeast infections all over those areas. I use to buy the foam from Vet which was$38.00 for 6.5 oz. And I use to get the wipes 50 wipes per jar X 3 jars for$37.00. Now I buy the gallon concentrate which is 1 oz. per gallon when diluted, I buy cosmetic cotton rounds and soak them in the empty jar I had the expensive wipes in. . OMG what a savings!!! It cost me only $16.00 for the gallon of conentrate. I also use it for a foot soak, just to dip her feet after her walks to get all the toxins she picks up. I am happy also to read that you can buy vaccines if you like. I know the employees are so helpful as they also helped me . They also have Probedaine for holistic foor soaks which I use. Toxins build up on our dogs because they do not bathe everyday like humans do. I also liked looking at all the other things they have, like the saddles and leather works. Very nice people. read more

I've been here twice. Decent and average prices on premium dog food that is not found in stores like Petsmart or Walmart. Also they told me if they didn't have what I needed I could put in an order for it. I like to feed my boy the goodstuff and they have it. I live in NLV and I usually go to JonesFeed but I travel around town a lot and found this place. The lady behind the counter was very nice and very helpful. They sell fresh chicken eggs too at a great price. There is nothing like a fresh eggs. YUM! They do charge extra for credit and debt, but the extra .35cents doesn't bother me. I believe its important to support local and small business' as much as possible and this place gets two thumbs up from me. read more
