I had an important out-patient surgery by a well-respected physician who people come to see from all over the world last week and was very well taken care of. All of the staff was helpful, supportive and kind. Jenn and Sam were there bright and cheery at 6:30 a.m. when we arrived. Jamie the pre-op nurse was assuring as I made my way into the operation room. I remember Katie's smiling face as I was put under with the anesthesia. The quality of care is unsurpassed. From the moment I walked in for my surgery, until the moment I went home, I received the upmost care and attention. The receptionist was welcoming and thorough in making sure I had everything in order before my surgery. My nurse, Heather, was very personable and I enjoyed talking with her while she was prepping me for surgery. Dr. Young, my surgeon, came to see me before and after surgery to assure me everything went well and my anesthesiologist was also amazing. I told him in the past I had issues with anesthesia because I'm a lightweight and he definitely took that into consideration because I went to sleep peacefully and woke up without feeling heavily drugged. After I was in recovery, my friend, who had brought me, came back and stayed with me and helped me get ready to go home. This place was the best experience, can't say enough. The pre-operative staff was excellent. I was made so comfortable, what a blessing on a day when you're having surgery. This was the best surgery center I've been to in the Las Vegas valley. I felt like this was concierge service or personalized, prestige service. The care I received was far above anything that I've experienced. The nursing staff was caring. They listened. The surgery prep rooms were private with doors slid open and closed - not just curtained off areas. It was a truly private area for consultation with the doctor, anesthesiologist and nurses. I was kept informed on the status of my surgery and my doctor's time table. The nurses brought warm blankets. My husband was allowed to wait with me. The facility was pristinely, clean and sanitary. The anesthesiologist was terrific. She was knowledgeable. I appreciated the questions she asked. She was thorough in her questioning of my history and my background. I felt confident in her ability to administer anesthesia by the thorough nature in which she asked all the questions. When it came time to take me back for surgery, the nurse who came to get me was friendly and funny. We joked and laughed on the way to surgery. This put me at ease and relax with me a little bit going into the surgery room. Once inside the room for surgery, I saw the anesthesiologist again she got right above me and reminded me of her name and told me she was going to give me something to relaxand the next thing I knew I woke up in recovery. The recovery nurses were fabulous. They cared for me with gentleness, kindness, and a care that was like a mother's love. In November 2020, I fell hard in my bathroom, and my elbow slammed into the tile. I went to Dr. McGee, who diagnosed it as a busted bursa sack. A month later, it was still leaking, and McGee recommended surgery. The problem was I had a small window because my dog was about to have pups. McGee told me he could get me in the day before she was due. He promised to operate on me first. I was to check in around 1 pm for pre-surgery, 2 pm surgery, 3 pm recovery, and out by 4. I lined up a neighbor to dogsit as the pups could come early. I had a friend lined up to pick me up around 4. On the day of the surgery, I took an Uber to Sunset Ridge Surgery center because I wouldn't be allowed to drive home. I showed up at about 12:45, and the Sunset Ridge staff told me to wait in the building lobby because they were running behind, and only one patient at a time was allowed in their lobby. As I was waiting, McGee came in. I told him they were running behind, and he told me not to worry. He had a plan, and he would get out as promised. It was about 1:40 when I was finally allowed into the lobby. As I filled out the paperwork, I told the front desk staff (Cristal and Jenn) about my dog's pups and how I needed to get home ASAP. No one said anything about me being the last to get surgery that day, even though they knew (a couple of McGee's assistants were there too). I was brought into the pre-op and prepared for surgery. As I waited, I realized I was not getting out by 4. I let my dog sitter and my ride know. I asked the pre-op nurses (Janice and Candice) when I was going, and they told me McGee was doing his first surgery. Then McGee took a second surgery, then a third surgery. I realized I was lied to. I was not happy. A nurse finally came in (Janice or Candice) and told me the plan always was that I would be last that day. At 6 pm., my dog sitter had to go home, leaving my dog alone. She could have had the pups anywhere inside the house or backyard. My ride was unhappy because his NFL team was on tv that night. No one there was apologizing. Finally, I went in for surgery. I don't know when it was because my phone was dead, so I turned it off. When I woke up in post-op, the room was dark, and the nurse (Caudine) said I needed to get dressed because it was past closing time and she was not getting paid to stay late. It was after 8. The people at Sunset Ridge lied. They have no respect for other people. Not me, my dogsitter, my friend who picked me up. No one ever apologized or gave me a reason why they lied. It was a thoroughly humiliating experience to sit through hours of being treated like trash. From the way they behaved, this was common practice for them. The next day I looked through the paperwork they sent me home with, and I attached it so you can see how cold-hearted these people are. read more

Having been scheduled to come here for the removal of a foreign body in his pinky finger, my boyfriend was not sure what to expect from the surgery. He had met Dr Colby Young at two prior appointments and really thought highly of him, so was hopeful this would turn out positive. On the day of surgery, Dr Colby Young and his staff were "all super friendly and attentive. Dr Young is one of the best doctors I ever met because he really listens," says my boyfriend. After receiving anesthesia and going through surgery, my boyfriend was up in the blink of an eye. Dr Young had efficiently extracted the foreign object. Additionally, after the surgery, the nurses provided my boyfriend a picture of the object via text. We appreciated this little extra! It is very disturbing to have an appointment for a procedure and be made to wait over three hours before you even see the doctor. As a business owner I would never make a client wait that long when they made an appointment. It's as though they have zero respect for anyone's time. There was a lady in the waiting area who the receptionist brought a granola bar because she was there so long. I understand some procedures may take longer than expected but this is ridiculous. So the explanation I get from the surgery center staff is Dr. Fadell overbooked. I assume that means stack em deep and make bank. So who know why but. My wife had nothing to eat or drink since 8:00 the night before. So she could go from a 10:30 appt to 4:00 and no Dr. yet. Shame on you all read more

I had surgery at Sunset Ridge last week and was impressed with the care and processes before the surgery, on the day of the surgery, and following the surgery. Everyone was polite and professional throughout and took care to make sure that everything was explained. I even had a positive experience dealing with billing when my insurance provider had an issue. My doctor did require me to be at the surgery center 90 mins prior to the scheduled surgery time, but I believe that was his requirement, not the center's. I arrived promptly and had to read/watch TV for about 30 mins before being called back for surgery preparation. Everything else went well from there. I also received a call from the surgery center to ask how I was feeling and encourage me to contact the doctor if I had any concerns. Interestingly, the surgery center actually followed up before the doctor's office did! As much as I hope to never have to visit Sunset Ridge again, if I find myself in need of surgery in the future, I will gladly use this center. read more

Do NOT trust a word RACHEL RIEDEL, the "administrator" tells you or sign any papers she asks you to! Trust what others who've been scammed say! It turns out to be a blessing that less than 16 hrs before my long-planned surgery Riedel called giving me fraudulent info about my insurance company specifically concocted to extort money from me & defraud my insurance. Listen to others before u sign that paper that says all u owe is the co-pay!! It IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. Thankfully, my REAL insurance company had also called to warn me!! Run, don't walk, from this shady, scheming, ill-equipped scam. Your body and bank account will thank you. read more

Their time schedules are not accurate, arrival time was 4 hours before surgery, this was a mistake but no one called. It was supposed to be over in two hours, it was three, pick up after call in 15 minutes it was 30. Staff seemed competent but waiting so long with no food or water is just cruel they need to adjust their policy. read more

I'm sorry to say that we've needed two surgeries in less than 8 weeks. The upside, for you, is that unlike most patients, I've had two opportunities to observe the staff and evaluate the facility. Short story: Come here if you need outpatient surgery. You will be completely satisfied! I have been twice. Long story: This facility is, for us, out of network. I assumed that was a deal breaker. Rachel, the Surgery Center Administrator, took our information, contacted our insurance carrier and worked out all the details. In the end, I simply paid the $250.00 deductible of an in network facility. I was very pleased to begin with, but the experience got better and better. We walked into a warm, inviting waiting room and were greeted by the front office staff. These women were wonderful, in helping through the mountains of paperwork and making us feel comfortable and welcome. They have water and a Keurig for you. The pre-op nurses were kind and helped my wife through her anxiety and the post-op nurses were very attentive. They monitored her pain and offered medicine to make her feel better. Honestly, I hope that you never need surgery, but if you do, come to the Sunset Ridge Surgery Center and relax, you'll be in good hands. read more

The staff and treatment was great, but beware of their billing process. They were out of my insurance network, so I told them I didn't want to go there. The billing lady explained that they had it set up so that I could pay $200 and they would write the rest off, and it would also go towards my deductible. I agreed and paid the $200. Afterwards I received a bill for another $232.00. I called and they said I had to pay it, that's what the balance came too. I said that we had an agreement but they wouldn't budge, and would send me to collections if I didn't pay it. So I had to pay it. I wish I had insisted on going to an in- network provider. The billing manager was not on the level with me about their 'out of network' program. Just be aware! Looking at the other reviews, they only had to pay the $200??? Now I'm even more mad! read more

I had a wonderful experience at Sunset Ridge Surgery Center. I was there for knee surgery (meniscus). Everything went very smoothly from check-in through pre-op to the actual surgery and recovery. It is a small facility and I was the center of attention during each step. The surgery center is clean and comfortable. The staff is professional and caring. My only minor complaint is that they need a sign on the outside of the building so locating them isn't a guessing game. But all in all one of the best surgery experiences I've ever had. read more

I needed surgery after a bad fall and they were wonderful here. My insurance is out of network with this facility but they accepted payment in full from my insurance and I was only asked to pay $200 up front. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses in the back were great. They made me feel like I was a VIP. The facility is clean and nice inside. I would definitely use them again if I have to but hopefully I won't need them anytime soon! read more

The surgeon, that happens to own this center was in my NETWORK, however, the surgery center is NOT IN MY NETWORK. Oh, now after a $5,000 deductible & $2,000 co-insurance and the $2200 they took from me before the surgery...they want another $13,000. This is not right. In the process of fighting this. My grandma had to have what we call emergency knee surgery. She is a delicate flower. They helped me get her out of the car, didn't leave her side until we were leaving in the car postop. While waiting, they were great at letting me know what was going on. Everyone there is smiling, happy, putting the patient first, and doing whatever they can to make sure you and the patient is comfortable. Cant say enough about them.
