Bea-u-ti-ful! a week…read morelong vacation on the lake? uh...yes please! stayed here last summer w/bf for a wedding & family reunion. so. much. fun! during our week at driftwood resort, we... - rented pontoons & took them out to the middle of the lake at sunset (a definite must!) - went fishing - had a ping-pong tournament in the game room - enjoyed bonfires every night by the fire pit - took dips in the lake (which is shallow) - & lots, lots, more! the rooms were clean & comfortable (bed, linens, etc.). the showers have great water pressure & temperature (which maybe people don't care about, but it was a big plus for me). plenty of space to sprawl out & relax. from the person you make the reservation with to the groundskeeper, the staff at driftwood resort is wonderful about making you feel welcome & at home. very kind & very personable. the rooms, maintenance of grounds, & customer service are absolutely top notch. if you are looking for a little getaway, check this place out!

My extended family drove from Virginia, and we rented almost the entire resort. Jill and Bill were always very helpful with our calls and questions before arriving and went above and beyond our expectations. They provided linens for some who traveled far. The cabins and lake house were all very clean and well stocked with microwave, coffee pots, and pots and pans. My brothers-in-law rode their Harley's around the entire lake and decided we had found the very best resort on the lake. The grounds were very clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We recommend this resort and only wish we could find resorts like it closer to Virginia. One other note, one of my brothers-in-law is an Orkin man and has the habit of checking accommodations for critters, especially bed bugs. Songer's passed his inspection, and we all slept comfortably in clean beds.

Boat rentals are a joke, boats are out dated, run bad and in terrible shape (left us stranded multiple times out on the lake, activities are offer but bring your own ping pong balls and paddles, carpet ball table is a mess and not playable. Kids play area is a complete joke. Be careful booking this hole, and dont trust the ownership. every year we rented it just kept going downhill. Its hard to find a place with that many cabins available the same week, so we were stuck going to this dump. we did some research and found other resorts that can accommodate us , so much nicer at the same price. Watch this place if you book it. Ownership is not trustworthy.

Now…read moreI've been coming with my husband since 2008, and we really look forward to our annual summer vacation. Our kids love spending the week here and so do we. It's comfortable, clean, low-key, and really nice. We love the fire pits and beach and love taking the pontoon out at least once during the week.

Our first visit on 4/12/25 ended with an ant infestation in Room 101. We reported it to the staff, didn't ask for a refund, and chose to give the resort another chance because our kids really enjoyed the Waterpark. We stayed again on 5/17/25, this time in Room 315. At 6 a.m. the next morning, I woke up to a bed bug crawling on my leg. I immediately brought it to the front desk in a tissue. The staff apologized and said a manager would be contacted and that we would be refunded for the room. I packed up our things right away and checked out early. At checkout, however, I was suddenly told to "watch my email for a discount," despite having just been promised a full refund. Nobody at the front desk could tell me when a manager would actually be available, and as of writing this, I've received no follow-up and no refund. Now I'm at home panic-washing everything, terrified we may have brought bed bugs back with us. This experience was not just disappointing--it was unacceptable. I strongly urge anyone considering a stay here to think twice, especially if management can't be counted on to respond to serious issues like this.
