Great place to recycle. Matthew, the attendant is always friendly and helpful. He started off by explaining all of the prices along with what they accept and what they do not. There are some item they will recycle for you but they do not pay cash for them. The center has very competitive prices they offer for items. They compete with the big recycling plant plant and in my opinion beat them in customer service. Thank you again Sunset for a smooth transaction. Be careful if you come to this recycling center. My mom came here recently with my little sister, and she was not the only one who felt she was underpaid. Three people ahead of her also questioned the amount they received because the math did not add up. My mom checked the numbers afterward and realized she was missing about $13. When customers started counting their money and asking questions, the workers told them they had to leave and could not stand there. They denied doing anything wrong, but when people continued complaining, they gave some customers a couple more dollars to calm the situation down. This experience felt very shady and unprofessional. Customers should not feel rushed out or uncomfortable for checking whether they were paid correctly. I'm sharing this so others know to double-check everything before leaving. read more

I stopped going here. I tired of the late openings and no shows. The worst that happened over and over, was asking us if we had change, then insisting on giving us an I.O.U. I would rather have a ticket to cash in Ralph's than get an $8 or $12 i.o.u. Kind of Jeff Spiccoli style. Great to be kind, but a business should have it's bank in order if this is a money issuing business-same with carnivals and fairs. read more

Easy peasy. Bring my 10 year old son here to do his recycling. Pretty simple. Dump your stuff. Leave with cash. Sometimes the young kid busy Playing video games. But they take care of you. I am a little skeptical if they pay you right. Sometimes I get the feel that they don't center the baskets and let the em hang off the scale purposefully to not you less. I've never had anyone they're being nice but they're nice to help out as much as Ithey can .I don't even have to carry anything. I should have listened to customer reviews. AN HOUR LATE OPENING today "because a train held me up." If it's not the train tomorrow, it will be a flat tire. Or the wife misplaced my car keys. Or I had to gas-up on the way. Or I had to jump my car . . . etc. Actually, because it's different people every day, he could use the same train excuse. 9am is the posted opening hour, I even checked before coming. The attendant allows vagrants to do all his work while he handles the money, even tho' there's an "Employees Only" sign. When I first visited this spot I wanted to rate it high, as the men working were super friendly. However I am super frustrated and upset. The first time I went I had a lot of cans and a small amount of glass (all types of glass) and they gave me $16 for JUST the glass. I told my fiancé a few weeks later to bring our glass to these guys and recycle, we had a TON from having a party. And they gave him $3 for ALL of it. Told him that they only recycle beer bottles which was NOT the case when I went, also, there were tons of beer bottles in the batch my fiancé brought. They completely scammed him and now we will never be going back read more

I was looking for a place to take some recycling and I came upon this place. I've been to a couple of places like this before, so I kinda knew what to expect. When I arrived, I asked the gentleman about glassware if it was separated or not, and he said no, it's all together. The people that were working at the center we're very helpful. I just wish they had better containers to put their recycling in. What was used to put the recycling in where these flimsy mesh plastic man made cans which were different sizes. I kind of struggled to put my recycling into those mesh containers because they were so flimsy and stuff kept on falling out over the place. read more

Recently brought my recycling here and was very pleased. Matthew is the best. He's very transparent and trustworthy with weighing your recycling. Most places just weigh your stuff and tell you the total but he told me the price after each basket. Payout was great. I definitely recommend this place. Hard to find a good recycling spot nowadays.
