So I had little time to find a new home for my family of 4. After my wife and I decided our best option within our area was to buy, Jim was recommended to me. We made contact, and Jim went right to work. We located a home rather quickly, then Jim, through his vast resources got us set up with financing. Before we knew it we had closed on our home. He made it so incredibly easy and this was not my first home buy. So if you need to buy or sell a home look no further than Jim Sheeley. Four and 1/2 years later and still raving about my experience!

I was ready to move on from being a landlord after 8 years. I was referred to Chris by a client of mine. I was pleased to learn that he himslef was a landlord in the Twin Cities and offered excellent insight regarding what to invest in/not invest in on the property before selling it. He understood that I purchased at the top of the market and was selling for less than a profit and gave me the best advice possible. I was very happy with that sale. Next came my home purchase in 2016. I was looking from out of state and working with Chris. To be fair I would say I was more high maintenance than your avergage client, I wanted a very specific neighborhood, a home that was within my specific price range, and I wanted something with character and city amenitites etc. In addition to that, I would look at any place Chris thought would be a fit, even if it was a bit out of my neighborhood. He let me know that I saw more than the average number of properties, that many people get fatigued after x number. And I agree, I saw an exhasting number of houses, but I had to know. I had to know that I was making the best choice and not jumping in too soon to something. We made/attempted to make a couple of offers and finally got the perfect place in NE! I Couldn't have been happier. I spent 8 months flipping the property and used Chris again to list it. We sold it the first weekend for a great profit. Again, I couldn't have been happier! The selling process was much less taxing on my end, I can't speak for Chris however. After that it was back to the drawing board. I looked at multiple properties, making offers on 2 duplexes, and one condo. One falling through after inspection, one because of a request for a commercial loan, and the last because I wasn't feeling it- and he totally supported that. Chris was very pateint and professional throughout the entire process. I ultimately settled on a single family home. Because I am a neighborhood snob it was the best choice for me. I learned a lot in my year and a half of working with Chris and couldn't be happier with my new place and the knowledge I have gained from him. I HIGHLY recommend working with Chris. He is a pro, he is humorous, he is patient, and he is highly experienced in his field. I joke how I am his apprentice now, but I might not be joking that much. Give him a call and see for yourself. -SIncerely, Diane

I rely very seriously on Yelp when traveling and so write extremely carefully with all reviews. Mike and Elke Weiland are the finest people to work with. They are 100 % calm, polished, down- to- earth, extremely honest but professionally tactful highly intelligent well educated gracious gracious people. They are also GENUINELY sensitive kind good people. We interviewed approx 8 companies in two years before putting our 5000 sq ft 1963 home on the mkt 2/27/15 . It took 3 years of very hardwork ( along w my husbands unexpected 5 surgeries in 2013) to get the house totally ready for sale. This is our 4 th home in 38 years of marriage in 4 states. This is a very impossible house to sell for Sid Hartman had built a huge recording TV/ radio studio on the top floor . The Minnesota mkt has not recovered for homes over $500M-- we are just at 7% of sales in this price range . If we could hv afforded to wait 2-3 years, the return on our huge ($400M) improvements investment would hv been better, but my husband's health issues were the factor for sales today. There seems to be a very real small tight community of seasoned senior prosperous upper bracket price point realtors. They know one another extremely well and hold one another in very high deserved professional regard. They also do not welcome newcomers to their community. They network easily via direct email text phone. They control all high end relocation clients as well. Only through careful methodical research of actual realtor sales/ price points will you be able to ID this community. We never knew this. We have only lived here 15 years. We do not understand this particular buying culture= extremely different fr the East Coast. This realtor is not recognized by this high end community, does not hv the established network of realtor contacts, is not aggressively proactive nor strategically inventive with extremely difficult properties such as ours and priced our property about $30M too high and nixed a drastic price drop after the first two unproductive prime sale weeks where all feedback said " too high priced". It did not help that my nervous husband did not favor price drops as well. Now 90 days on the mkt with only two months of favorable buying ( September = drastic drop), we are now a short sale. Our price $599M must plunge almost $100M to be sold this year. Hopefully not lower. Short sales can ONLY be done by exclusive short sale realtors: they negotiate w your banks. Strive to close where you do not hv to bring any cash to the table. Most regular realtors can not will not help you EFFECTIVELY w your banking lenders Very Impt info. Good luck

In addition, he communicated with the condo association and provided all required documents for set up the HOA payments on time. Moreover, he suggested to do the Mobile closing ( the notary came to my home for signing the closing paper in the closing date) which saved my time and $$$ money because I did not need to fly to Minnesota just for the closing. Mr.Mark Gettinger has provided an outstanding customer service. He commutated with my Closing company and Lender directly when I needed the information's clarification ( especially, the specific legal terminology). Furthermore, all the paper work and earning money sending were done electronically-it was so easy and accurate as well as saving a lot of my time and energy in this busy life. In Sum, the closing was done on time, and my Lender told me that they were impressed how Mr. Mark Gettinger was able to manage very professionally the condo purchase ( which is required more knowledge and documentation than purchasing a single home) and also for a Buyer who is living in the different state. Not only did the leasing agent & manager accommodate my lengthy list of needs (only 4 months with monthly renewal as needed, 2 50-lb dogs, remote contract agreement, truck-sized underground parking, in-unit laundry, modern/clean, location location location, and willingness to be onsite for temp furniture delivery/removal), but the place exceeded my expectations beyond that list. Beautiful, modern, clean, safe and in the center of Uptown. Loved living here. Completely safe building, with a large mail/package delivery room too. Extra storage places for bikes in parking garage. All secure. I don't think I took full advantage of the amount of space of the unit with my minimal rental furniture, but really appreciated the layout -- plenty of room for a large sofa, lounge chair, dining set, barstools, queen bed/dresser, walk-in closet, AND extra space up front to use as office/whatever. And the bathroom offered plenty of generous storage too. Loved the space. If not for having too much stuff (coming from a 4 bed/5 bath home) and 2 dogs demanding their own backyard, I'd have loved to stay at Laguna permanently.

Prior to our trip, I emailed Apartment Mart with our needs, and Sarah responded promptly with guidelines and suggestions. We shared our price-range and that we wanted to live downtown; within a few days Sarah had made all of the appointments on our behalf and emailed a thorough schedule for our two-day visit. Apartment Mart has a relationship with many of the new/highrise apartment buildings in the city, but we were also interested in a few of the older buildings, (and rented condominiums), that Apartment Mart doesn't represent. Sarah was clear as to which of these she wouldn't make appointments, (and instructed us to contact them on our own); but left some time in our schedule to see these units as well. All in all, Sarah made coordinating a whirlwind schedule virtually painless. I'd recommend them to anyone who is looking for an apartment in Minneapolis.
