He listen as I told stories about my dad, asking questions about him and laughing with me. Through that long conversation he developed the perfect tribute for my father. A bench with a beautiful elk at the base of a pillar that acts as a bench leg and a side table. On the table is a solid bronze coffee mug inscribed with the words "World's Greatest DAD" and jumping trout. My dad's three favorite things were hunting, fishing, and when people would stop by for coffee and conversation. Now when we go to see dad, we can bring a cup of coffee, sit, and talk about the one that got away, or the bull elk we could've gotten if only we had our rifle with us. He came alone expecting us the family to help but our loved one in the body bag and then sets up a time for us all to meet and proceed to kick us out for asking a question on the cost. He the owner was upset for us asking questions as we are allowed to and had the audacity to tell us he was too emotional to deal with us. What! Excuse me I do believe we are the grieving family who just lost our loved one yesterday and he's too emotional. He clearly only has one agenda and that's collecting money on grieving families. No respect for the families and their loss. I'm more than happy to pay for services if I'm treated with respect and dignity and he provided none of that.

Chris met with us a few years ago to help the family pre-plan Mom's funeral. With his help, we had a plan and a budget and things were paid for when she died. It wasn't an easy meeting, but Chris was a great facilitator. Even though we had a plan, little things and not so little things happened, but Chris took care of them all. He kept us on budget and on time. He was funny. He was compassionate. He was non-judgmental. He never tried to oversell. We so appreciate Chris.
