The first time, our group of four sat outside in the courtyard, which was so cute and had a great atmosphere. Their mezcal selection is incredible--everything from Espadín to Tobalá to Madrecuishe. We were so excited to see mezcal from one of our favorite places in Oaxaca on the menu! The server was super fun and kept the good vibes going the whole night. We ended up staying for two hours (and even canceled our dinner reservation somewhere else) because we were having such a great time. The food was amazing--we shared tamales and chicharrón, which paired perfectly with the mezcal. The courtyard was amazing, the music was awesome and it was just such a fun scene. A few days later, we went back and sat inside, which was just as great. We ended up chatting with the table next to us and loved being able to try so many different mezcals while learning about each one. That's what I love most about a good mezcalería--the chance to taste, learn, and truly enjoy the experience. La Miserable has everything: a killer mezcal selection, a welcoming vibe, and great food. If you're in La Paz, you have to check it out. Can't wait to go back one day!

Beautiful view of the inviting ocean.. Our servers were on it, but waited a bit longer for the beer because they serve it from next door on a rope pulley. We had chips which were hard and baked, guac was good and salsa, when you see it, it's dark green and hot for me, my guy loved it. The beer I ordered was Azul-Blonde ale , refreshing and warmed quickly. My guy had an IPA- Baby, he said it was citrusy but not too bitter for an IPA, not as strong as a 6%, more of a 4.5. Not too good of a craft beer for us. Stopped in for the 1, on to the Blue Fin up the street.

They let you valet for free if you eat at the restaurant. I ordered the grilled octopus with chorizo and pesto and I really enjoyed it. Lots of flavor and a good combination of things. You get 2 tentacles. My partner got the catch of the day with black beans and garlic sauce and an avocado and tomatillo salad. The fish today was amber jack. His dish was a little sour and not as much flavor but he still liked it. He also got a Chardonnay. There were only 2 types of whites to choose from by the glass and they were Mexican wines. The wine was different because it tasted like someone put a splash of port in it but it did go well with the fish. We also got the strawberry dessert. Strawberries with cream and strawberry ice cream. It was tasty and a nice way to end the meal. The service was good and friendly.

I'm guessing the chorizo was housemade because it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. We also got some elotes-style corn that was so sweet and lightly charred. I also selected the gaonera, suadero, and chicharron ribeye tacos. All had great "over the coals" flavor tucked into fresh, soft tortillas. Make sure to save room for dessert. I got the fondant de chocolate. Our server advised it would be a 20-minute wait, but it was totally worth it - beautiful presentation with a molten chocolate center. Good value and great experience!

I had one of the best Mezcal Old Fashioned I've ever had here. The bartender puts a lot of time and attention into each drink. Also, the pizzas were very delicious. If you like cocktails, I recommend this place. Regarding its hours, well, sometimes it may not be open when it says it will open. I think their online hours says they open at 6:00 PM, but it was more like 7:00 PM one night. It helps to be flexible with these things in Mexico.
