I was referred from my primary dentist to see Dr. Biggs to save one of my first lower molars. I was super impressed by Dr. Biggs and his staff. I appreciate Dr. Biggs going above and beyond for me when he noticed my first pre molar also had a very large cavity and I'm glad he was able to determine in office whether or not that one too needed a rct build up crown. Would recommend this endodontist. He's got so many impressive instruments and exceptional quality care. Thank you so much again. The procedure was a success and we were able to save both my first premolar and molar teeth. My primary dentist was also impressed by Dr. Biggs work. read more

I had a great experience having to redo a root canal. I've had a different periodontist do my root canal 2 years ago that failed. The staff here was very knowledgeable and showed me images of where my previous procedure went wrong. They even offered internal bleaching for my stump tooth for a very reasonable price. Now my new crown blends in easily with my natural teeth. read more

I once again had a great experience at Sunset Endodontics. I had been referred to SE by my primary dentist who was concerned about some inflammation. She sent an x-ray to SE and they were able to see me the same day. Lupe was pleasant as always and Stephanie took good care of me. Dr. Biggs uses a 3-D x-ray to get a clearer look at each tooth. It turns out the concerns of my dentist were laid to rest after Dr. Biggs was able to show me there was no need for a root canal. I appreciate the professionalism of the entire staff and would recommend Sunset Endodontics. read more

I cannot say enough great things during a recent experience at Sunset Endodontics. Dr, Biggs is an awesome endodontist! He performed my first root canal at 76 years old! The procedure was pain-free and quick. The office staff and his assistant Stephanie were all caring and patient with all of my concerns. I start sweating when I hear the words "dental procedure", so I was very nervous, but everyone was so kind. I absolutely had no pain afterwards. I would definitely go back to Dr. Biggs! read more

Not good, the level of care was concerning, an x-ray was done and then a dental surgery for a root canal, I was in considerable pain for the procedure and was operated on with inflamed gums (learnt this was the case afterwards). Once completed I was immediately hit with a request to pay the full cost upfront by an aggressive receptionist who had lied to me, stating that she had sent all the payment information via email and text which she had not. I then went to my regular dentist a month later to have the crown procedure completed but was advised that I should have booked in for the surgery 2 weeks earlier; and that as I now had a cracked tooth; my tooth had to be taken out. Apparently the cracked tooth inside the gum had not been picked up by X-ray until the crown was to be put in, they said it must have happened afterward the surgery but I am doubtful. Dentist was pleasant and responsive to my emails, but not a great experience. read more

I needed a root canal. I was nervous because I only had one previously many years ago. My appointment was with Dr. Stout. He put my mind at ease and explained.the procedure. He was very gentle and waned to know if I experienced any discomfort. Addison assisted him. She was friendly and helpful answered all my questions. Lupe was at the front desk and was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this Doctor and his staff. read more

Dr Benjamin Brown is an excellent dentist. He took very good care of my mother. She needed to have two root canals. He was kind and compassionate to my mother. She was very nervous to have the procedure done, but he talked to her through the entire procedure to let her know exactly what he was doing. I would recommend him again and again. read more

I'm a perfectionist but like getting the best price on most things I purchase, except when it comes to medical care. I only have ONE body so i want the BEST when it comes to health. My dentist recommended Sunset Endodontics and i read some of the prior reviews. Would I really be treated like a VIP and get first class services? YES! On July 31 I woke up with discomfort from a molar that quickly developed into severe pain. Got a rush appointment with Dr. Redlinger who quickly diagnosed serious need for a root canal that might be complicated. They got me an appointment on August 2 at 9AM. First impression of the office was that it looked immaculate and i was pleasantly greeted by Diana. As I entered my medical data on a Samsung tablet, Dr. Dougherty appeared and greeted me. When I completed my data I was escorted in for an initial exam and x-ray by an assistant. Dr. Dougherty promptly appeared and took me to another room for a 3D X-ray so he could get a 360 degree view of my situation. I am a techie so I appreciated seeing state-of-the-art equipment. As the doctor explained what he saw, I quickly got the impression that my root canal would not be an easy one. As Dr. Dougherty injected Novocaine, his technique was so good, I didn't even feel the needles, which allowed me to relax as I sensed that I was in the hands of a highly skilled experienced professional. Over the next 2 hours, despite all the sounds and tools being used in my mouth, I became even more relaxed because I knew a perfectionist was making sure that I would have the best results possible. The strangest sound and sensation came during the GentleWave procedure but it was totally painless just like everything else Dr. Dougherty was doing. Before I left the office, I found out that the entire staff had come to work on August 2, just to help me so I really did receive VIP service in EVERY way. Amazing is how I feel right now. Less than 12 hours after the procedure and despite being told that I might be sore for a few days, I am 100% pain free without taking ANY meds! Yes, that molar is still sensitive to pressure but I expect that too will subside quickly. BOTTOM LINE: I know there are cheaper endodontic doctors in this valley but if you want THE BEST service, treatment and results, I highly recommend Dr. Dougherty at Sunset Endodontics. read more

This was by far the best experience I have ever had in a dental chair! Never in my entire life have I fallen asleep in a dental chair until yesterday! Dr. Dougherty was absolutely amazing. He explained everything step-by-step what he was going to do & has state of the art equipment. The staff was kind, helpful & friendly . I had a root canal under a bridge.. I experienced absolutely no pain.. not even after the anesthetic wore off.. I highly recommend this office... if I could give 10 stars I would! read more

Dr. D did my root canal back in 2021 and neither I nor the girls at work could believe that I was able to go back on Zoom after and teach my students. But, honestly, that was just how painless the procedure was although my mouth was a little lopsided. I did not know then but I am sure that my pain-free, first-ever, root canal was due to this Gentle Wave procedure that he used. Of course, I had to pay $235 out of pocket for it but it was definitely worth it! Up to today, I have never once had any issues with the tooth. Fast forward to today's appointment and Dr. D has retired but Dr. Biggs is still there. OMG! I have never had Dr. Biggs work on my mouth and I, like many of us, have the worst anxiety just thinking about sitting in the dentist's chair, even for my yearly cleanings. I hope the gentle wave was REALLY responsible for how my first experience went and I do not return with a dental horror story. Pictures and additional information on my treatment with Dr. Biggs will be added at a later date. Thanks for reading! read more

The work is great, the process of payment is less than ethical! I had a procedure completed in June, 2021 and was told I had to pay for the full treatment since my insurance re-embursed my dental claims. I paid $1340 for a root canal and they filed an insurance claim for $1730! Since my dental plan only allows me $2000 per year, this physician filed a claim for $384 higher than the cost and took away my dental benefits in this amount. And on 7/1/2021 my insurance paid this physician for the full $1730 and they refuse to pay me not only for the $384 they collected higher than the process cost that was told me, but they will not give me the funds I paid in cash at the time of service. I think they are not only un-ethical, but are trying to perform a fraud against both me and my insurance company. Buyer Beware! read more

I was referred to this office by my amazing dentist and they are very disorganized. Two different girls called me within 20 minutes asking me to come in "right now" even though my appointment wasnt for a few hours and i was at work. originally I was told that I couldnt schedule a treatment yet since it was multiple teeth needing work i needed an evaluation first. I was okay with that but then they tell me the reason they need me to come in earlier than 3 is so they had enough time to do treatment?? then the second girl calls and tells me that it seemed like i was saying no to treatment. why would i say no to treatment when that's literally what im asking for? Also said calls are recorded and that she trained the girl that spoke to me so she doubt she told me no to treatment LMFAOO whatever we got it solved. and then i called back while filling out their forms because i had a question. She answers my question kind of and I say "okay" and she says "BYE" and hangs up lolll. I called my dentist and told them the situation and they said to call back and cancel. Good luck getting new referrals by treating them like that. read more

Staff is friendly, i loved the nurse. She was fun to talk to and put me at ease. The doctor was amazing and easy to speak with. He took the time to answer all of my questions. I left with confidence in his diagnosis. I highly recommend. read more

Dr. Doughtery has done 6 root canals for me. He is so skilled and gentle. I have no fear if I need more. He has a small staff and they make you feel welcome. He explains everything and listens to your concerns. They are just the best!! read more

I can't say enough about Dr. Dougherty & his staff. He is the most pleasant, kind, and caring doctor in this town. His staff follows suit. Diana was super helpful with all of my questions as well. I had a root canal done many years ago and more recently, I thought I needed a second one, but Dr. D said that I didn't. So it's great to know that there is a doctor in town that will not give you a root canal if you do not need one. I highly recommend this office! read more

I was very satisfied. Had an appointment with a different office where I did not feel at all comfortable, so sought a new one. I got in right away due to a cancellation and was treated with great care and kindness. I felt that Dr. Dougherty and his staff were extremely competent and professional. So happy that my gut feeling about the other endodontics office led me here. read more

They are the best! I was told I would need a root canal and lots of work done on a tooth by my dentist, but I got a second opinion here at Sunset Endodontics, and was able to just get a filling and save me the hassle and $$ of a root canal! I will definitely be going here for any future dental needs! Great customer service, super nice people and incredibly good at what they do! A+++!! read more

Came in for an appointment for a root canal. First visit in, took an X-ray and a 3-D image at the doctors request to examine the tooth. After being completely numbed, an office woman came in and told me my co-pay would be much more than I anticipated. Once I questioned she got a huge attitude about me not wanting to pay for an expensive imaging that I was not informed about beforehand. Because my insurance didn't cover that machine or the machine used for the root canal. The doctor came in and explained the situation very politely and with details in the situation and I left with no work done and half my mouth numb. The day before thanksgiving and she was the worst receptionist I've ever dealt with. The doctor was professional and have no bad things to say about him. The staff is completely the opposite and because of that alone I would never go back even if my insurance covered 100%. Sorry! Get rid of her and you'll be better off! read more

Dr. Dougherty was absolutely wonderful. Root canal was painless. His bedside manner is awesome. Office staff and assistant were fantastic. Helpful. Friendly. If you need this type of work done go see Dr. Dougherty!! read more

Best endodontist in town. I was in a lot of pain and I needed to be seen ASAP. I called Sunset Endo and they where able to fit me right in. Dr.Dougherty uses nothing but the latest in modern technology to make sure you have a painless root canal along with his staff that provides excellent customer service. His receptionist informed me of my copayment and also explained the non covered services by my insurance and how if Dr felt like gentle wave would be needed it would be an out of expense. Dr Dougherty also took the time to explain my treatment plan and what was causing my pain. I am very pleased with how my root canal turned out and best of all his receptionist took the time to call me the next day to see how I was doing. Thank you Dr. Dougherty and staff definitely will recommend friends and family . read more

Dr Dougherty is a very good endodontist. His professional and manners are very good. He knows what he is doing and wants the best for his patient. His assistant is good and helpful. I recently had to have a root canal and it was a tricky one. It took 2 visits to the office before it was corrected. I would have given a 5 Star but the first treatment I was not numbed enough. I strongly recommend this place. read more

The doctor was great however, their price is ridiculious. Before you go there get their prices because $1,525.00 for a root canal is absurd. This is why people are walking around with no teeth. You have to be rich to have teeth in your mouth. I should have just pulled the damn tooth and I still have to pay $600. for a crown. read more

The staff and the service were on par, no complaints there. I do, however, have an issue with the billing practices. I was told I had paid everything off on my last visit (around 500 dollars out of pocket and some on my carecredit). Then a bill came for 400 more... that is not OK. They sent a second bill stating it was going to collections a few weeks later. Depending on how this is resolved, I will update to 4 star or 1 star. read more

Visiting from Seattle and needed an endodontist. Found Dr. Dougherty online and was more than impressed with his kindness, expertise and ability to make a new patient feel comfortable. The entire staff was wonderful and Diana went out of her way to fit me in and even called when a patient canceled. If you have to have root canal work done, this is the place to be. Wish I could see Dr. Dougherty as my general dentist back home-he is that good! read more
