The staff there are not only welcoming but also incredibly skilled as evidenced by the stunning results. Lisa, the nail technician worked her magic and my nails turned out absolutely stunning! I'm thrilled with the outcome. Without a doubt, I'll be a regular client for my monthly nail appointment at Houghton Cuts. Also, I had my eyebrows shaped and the result is just perfect!

However, as the salon has recently had a refit, their prices have gone up even though they were quite expensive in the first place but now with the price increase you get a nice cup of coffee from their new coffee machine! Super salon but maybe they should reduce prices as they might start losing customers.

Great place for a pedicure but would not recommend for eyebrows. My skin was also left sore and damaged, and I had to keep applying Aveeno or Aloe Vera cream. It has taken a week to get my skin back to a healthy condition and I can only assume the wax that was used was too hot. I did not get any form of apology or signs of goodwill when we called up and reported this to them, and I believe this is something that potential customers should be aware of.

I didn't lose one and with a bit of tlc in the last week they still looked good. Prices are very competitive.

People here are far too cool to smile, even when chearily asking for a weeks wages for a simple trim. Prices are insane, although they do do a good job on cuts and colours. Had my first haircut in this salon this week and have to say the stylist was pleasant, professional…read moreand chatty and cut my hair very well. The price was good too. Whilst I was waiting there was a lady having her hair coloured. The young girl(a trainee I assume?) stood in front of me and offered the lady a coffee, made her one then went upstairs in the shop, totally ignoring me. The coffee isn't the issue but to have even been asked would have been nice. The cost of that cup of coffee will mean I'll likely not return. I ran pubs, bars and hotels for years and know the impact small things like this have on customers. Made me feel like my custom wasn't very important and the amount of money you spend decides wether or not you deserve a drink while you wait. Not a great first impression on me I have to say. As I said though, the haircut itself, and the stylist, I'd have no complaint about at all but the fact that you are 'very proud of the welcoming atmosphere' and the 'friendly team', I'd say some staff training in basic customer service may be a worthwhile investment.
