There is plenty of space and chairs to sit in the sun and the environment is peaceful and relaxing. The family park is a nice perk to being a member of the J for sure.

Now here we are, and it's hard to be disappointed with such a gorgeous pool, but there are a couple of misses here. The good: There are graduated entries throughout as opposed to the stairs that used to serve as the entry points. The deep end has two waterslides, a climbing wall and a low diving board. The baby pool has beautiful shade covers that I wish had been there when I was growing up in Baldwin-Whitehall. There are fun little splash features in the middle of the pool. The bad: I would be disingenuous if I didn't say I was disappointed about how they redesigned the deep end. The additions of the slides and climbing wall are largely for kids/teens, and came at the expense of the lap lanes for which I largely use the pool. Lap lanes still exist, but just four of them, and they are always filled by people who grab one and stay for a long time. When the pool was first reopening there was talk that these would be by reservation, and I can't imagine how that would have worked either. So now I just generally swim around the main expanse of the pool, which is fine and slightly heated, especially wonderful if a day is otherwise not quite warm enough to be swimming. Finally there is the snack bar, which didn't open at all this year. There used to be a great, large snack bar down the little hill near the parking lot, and that's gone now in favor of a smaller one at one of the entrances. The little ritual of grabbing an ice cream bar or similar a couple times a year is fun for me and a lot of families, I'm sure, and is very much missed.

After just a few weeks, we saw a completely different side. The team seemed annoyed and frustrated with our child. Everyday the "personalized notes" came back negative about our baby. I had to stop reading them because they were so negative. The Director and Owner seemed heartless and uncaring about our child's needs, which is truly sad for a place that prides itself on "creating a warm yet individualized experience to meet each child's needs." NOTE: I will say there was one teacher who was wonderful and genuinely seemed happy to see our child everyday, so this is not for all staff. This school costs almost as much as the mortgage on your house, but no matter how much money you spend, apparently, you cannot buy empathy, a conscience or a heart. I truly hope no one experiences what our family went through.

Her training has not only helped her on the mat but has helped in every aspect of her life. It has taughter her respect, discipline and self esteem. All the teachers at her school (even ones she does not have), friends parents and the parents at No Limits are amazed at how she carries herself and was a leader and friend she is. She has made life long friends at No Limits and ATA tournaments. While some have chosen to move on (found other passions) she continues her friendships with them. The camp facility is amazing and is located on a beautiful, expansive piece of land. The program is very well run, from the orientation, to the open house, to the bus schedules, to the regular updates etc. The counselors have been so kind to my child, and reached out regularly to update us on how things are going at camp, and reached out again to check in after my kid was sick.
