This is one of the most difficult reviews I have ever written. While staying the night in Deming, I…read morehad the urge for Chinese food. There are two Chinese restaurants in Deming and I chose China Restaurant. It is located on Pine street just east of S. Gold Ave. there are plenty of available booths and tables but the gist of the matter is that you order your food and take it home. The restaurant has a distinct aroma, not as pleasant as I would like. Still, since previous reviews mentioned this, I decided to forge ahead. The cook took my order and had it ready in less than 5 minutes. It took a while for him to understand what I wanted as his English is limited. The meal did not come with rice, that option costing at least $2 per meal. Taking it back to my motel, I was amazed at how delicious the Szechuan Beef was. It was a bit spicier than I was used to but the removal of most of the jalapeño peppers made the spice level perfect. The beef was melt in your mouth tender. The sauce was perfect. Truly the best I have ever eaten. I should take off a star due to the aroma and ambiance but the food more than makes up for the five star review. Give China Restaurant a try. Amazing food.
