She invaded my personal space, treated me with blatant bias, and left me frustrated, intimidated, and questioning how parents are even tolerated. Respect and professionalism are nonexistent here. The environment for students is alarming and unsafe. I have serious reason to believe at least one staff member may be using illegal drugs, and it's obvious that substance use--alcohol or drugs--is impacting the competence of some staff. Children are being cared for by people who appear impaired, unprofessional, and biased. Combined with administration that is incompetent, dismissive, and unsafe, this school is a disaster waiting to happen. If you value your children's safety, well-being, or even basic decency, look elsewhere. This school fails on every level--parents and children alike will be disrespected, endangered, and treated unfairly. Accountability, professionalism, and safety are completely absent.

Our granddaughter, is 40 months old and in the Methodist preschool right now, but won't turn five years old until September 11, 2024. So I don't know what the district will do whether they'll let her start in 2024 or if she'll have to wait until the fall of 2025. Our granddaughter is way ahead of the curve. She reads, prints her name, Knows the names of her colors, can count up to 17 & knows the names of countless animals, sings, dances and is generally a happy cheerful child. The lady of the house who has a degree in early childhood education, is looking forward to being involved with the school, the teachers and the parent teacher association. So happy it turned out this way. Administration has been great with communication, the teachers have all been wonderful. Surprisingly turn over hasn't been as bad as what we experienced at other daycares. My daughter loves attending and we genuinely feel like our daughter is so loved here. She started as a tiny little thing, and has flourished into a sassy little independent girl. One of the many things we appreciated was the teachers knowing her likes and dislikes they knew when she wasn't feeling herself (when we had a bad season of teething) and they loved on her and gave her extra cuddles. They also always knew her name and her whereabouts. Sounds odd but it really made me feel reassured. I would be walking up at pick up and someone would stop me and point me the right direction immediately. Since they would condense classes in the afternoons. Can't speak for the other classes and age groups but they seem to always have some fun activities going on, like their trick or treating event, Christmas events and book fairs. Overall we have had great experience here.

Many days I would drop him off or pick him up. Teachers will be sitting on their phones while kids are just doing whatever, or kids watching an iPad. Example: we have never showed or have our child watch Spider-Man, Batman, or any of the marvel. But yet he has watched all of these programs and are familiar with them. And when asked, he saw it at school. That apart from candy or cupcakes and sweets that's given. Glad this chapter is over with. Never again! I urge parents to not just take stuff at face value!

After being a Ruth Washburn parent for over 12 years we are shocked and dismayed by the way we have…read morebeen personally ostracized and ridiculed by the administration and the board members just for asking questions that were never answered. Ruth Washburn has handled recent events in a clandestine and deceptive way. They held a private meeting for current parents and their new neighbors and friends, the Lauchpad on 8/5/23 (after a year of not telling parents about the upcoming development next door). At the meeting on 8/5/23, current parents were not allowed to speak, film for other parents, and also not allowed to ask questions aloud. The former director, Jen Filonowich and new director Angela Conway have gone out of their way to issue support for the new development next door without ever asking all parents via an anonymous survey (we requested one multiple times). Ruth Washburn maintains their public support of the Lauchpad going in next door to the preschool without ever surveying current parents or even notifying the parents until 7/28/23. (at least a year after Jen's knowledge on record). Jen held a 'community meeting' on 9/26/23 with the local residents, which parents weren't invited to attend. The meeting can be looked up on YouTube. Jens behavior and lies at this meeting are very telling. It's very sad that an organization that touts open communication, accountability, and transparency is now anything but.
