She had poor bedside manner with my 9-year-old daughter and didn't explain the treatment, ask if we had any questions, or take the time to make sure we understood what to expect. I actually had to stop her as she was walking out the door just to ask a question. The most concerning part is that my daughter was being treated for multiple warts, but the medication was applied to healthy skin beside one of the warts instead of on the wart itself. As a result, the wart is still there, while the surrounding skin has been painfully burning and blistering. My daughter has been in significant pain because healthy skin was treated while the wart itself was left untouched. I understand that medical offices can get behind schedule, but after waiting more than an hour, I expected a physician who would take the time to provide careful treatment, answer questions, and show compassion, especially when treating a child. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and I would not recommend this practice. Update 08/20/2026 Nobody ever got back to me and I just received a bill for $278 on top of the $178 I paid in the office. This is ridiculous!

I am a long-term wearer (10+ years) of multi focal specialty contact lens. Initially, it took…read moreseveral appointments and many, many contacts to find the right fit, but my previous optometrist was a rock star at working though this process. And there was no upchage for this service. I recently moved to Baldwin county and needed to replace the contacts. So in doing my research for someone specializing in these types of contacts, I found Dr. Ferris-Metzger at Premier Medical in Daphne. The appointment went well and I provided Dr Ferris-Metzger with my previous contact vials which has all the measurements and sizing for the fit of the specialty lenses. I just needed to know if any of my distance / up close vision had changed and check the health of my eyes. Fast forward 4 weeks to when the lenses arrived and I get an invoice for 3x what Ive historically paid for the lenses (they are sold as 2 pairs to change out after 6 months of wear). I thought there has to be a mistake... the wrong type of lens was ordered or the technician wrongly ordered "2" sets (meaning 4 pair). I communicated my concerns with Dr Ferris-Metzger's technician and her response basically explaining to me how the lenses work, how they are sold and that this was the price. No new information to me and no answers to the questions I had proposed. At this point, I contacted my previous optometrist 4 hours away, to inquire about any price increases. They confirmed the price was what I'd paid previously (which was $600 less than Premier Medical) After that, I tried calling a business manager and was put in touch with the contact lens person. This went the same way as the previous conversations. No one appears to be interested in my honest attempt to understand the price difference at this place. And to add insult to injury, Dr Ferris-Metger had the contact lens associate inform me that I would be charged a contact fitting fee of $40 which I would have to pay before she would release my prescription (yes I asked for it as a matter of principle). If you will see above, there was basically no "contact fitting" because I provided my previous measurements. I now have an appointment with an optometrist in Fairhope. Their office confirmed that the price of the lens will be what I'm used to paying ($700) and I'll pay for another exam. But I don't think I have a choice. And yes, I absolutely love these lenses and understand that they are a premium product. But charging $600 more for the same lens I can purchase down the street is insane. Bottom line -- buyer beware.

While I understand aesthetic results vary per person, my review is strictly regarding physical harm, documented safety oversights, and dismissive management. * Severe Physical Harm: During one session, a technician used oil with a heating device, causing hot oil burns that left numerous scabs across my abdomen for over two weeks. The owner, Mignon, saw these burn scabs in person toward the end of those two weeks and acted appalled--meaning she had direct, first-hand knowledge of the injury. During another session, a technician who knew about my documented allergy used an aloe-based gel anyway, admitting on a voicemail later that she got distracted and forgot. This triggered a severe, full-body allergic reaction. * Unreasonable Financial Refusal: I only asked for a refund for the two specific sessions where I was physically harmed ($200 total), which I intended to apply directly toward purchasing another 10-session package. Office manager Sheena refused and offered only 5% off a future package. When called back to explain that 5% was unacceptable for physical harm, she doubled down, stating that even 10% off is strictly reserved for new clients. Public listings on ZipRecruiter show technician wages at $18.97/hr, meaning the business nets roughly $80 per $100 session. Refusing a $200 credit toward a repeat purchase for a loyal client who suffered burns and a full-body reaction is completely unacceptable. * Dismissive Ownership & Safety Disregard: Despite personally inspecting my burns, when we asked to speak to the owner, Mignon stated she stands behind her office manager "100%" and refused to make things right. This was very disappointing because I felt like her first reaction to "feeling bad" for my experience was not genuine, and that the money meant more than making someone feel heard. * Administrative Mismanagement: Office manager Sheena consistently fails to publish schedules on time. Because handling adjustments and cancellations is "too much trouble" for her, the office penalizes all clients by capping bookings at just a few sessions at a time. Despite never canceling a single appointment, I was forced into two-week gaps between treatments because management refused to maintain an advance schedule. The individual technicians here are truly kind people, and I hated having to walk away from them. However, I simply cannot support a business whose management prioritizes profit margins, staff convenience, and blind loyalty over basic client safety and professional accountability.

As a longtime patient of Sunrise Dermatology, the news of Dr. Forrester's departure came as a surprise and brought a tinge of sadness. From the moment I met her, I was struck by her warmth, knowledge, and genuine dedication to her patients. Dr. King's welcoming demeanor and evident passion for dermatology quickly put me at ease, and I knew I was in good hands. While the transition from Dr. Forrester to Dr. King marks a significant change for Sunrise Dermatology, I am grateful for the opportunity to be under the care of such a talented and compassionate physician. To Sarah Martinez-Dillon in the med spa: I want you to know, every single day when I put my makeup on, my first thought is "why did she do this to me?" It is beyond my comprehension that someone with 5 years experience could have shown such carelessness in microneedling my skin. I came to you with great skin, just to refine some pores in my T-zone. I am now left with track marks, rough texture, larger pores all over my face, loss of elasticity, a destroyed skin barrier, and more from your aggressive treatment. You said I just "needed to wait for it to heal"...from track marks and ice pick scars?? Meanwhile, 2 other clinics were appalled when they saw my before/after pics; they said you should never 1) inject retinol deep into the skin 2) do a chemical peel after 3) use a high needle setting 4) apply so much pressure that it drags and 5) tell me to resume actives + Retin A 3 days later...just so many layers of things done wrong. Every day this keeps getting worse, not better. I have not received an apology for what you have done to my face and my self-esteem. I've been waiting patiently for a refund for my treatment(s), but so far nothing. I shared my story and found I am not the only one you have done this to. When are you going to learn from your mistakes? How long are you going to blame your clients? And really, why did you do this to me?? You just randomly decide to go "aggressive" (your words) without asking me and tear up my skin after I've spent years taking such good care of it? I am devastated that I ever let you touch my face. I am shocked at how horribly this practice has treated my wife after they damaged her skin with 1 microneeding treatment. After going to another clinic and confirming it was a result of bad practice, she canceled the rest of her appointments (she bought a pack of 5 for $1399). They had the nerve to charge her a $250 "admin fee" on top of $280 for the session that damaged her skin. She will now have to spend thousands on lasers hoping to repair their damage. Not only that, they actually FALSIFIED her medical records when she requested them, claiming she had acne and that the damage they caused was pre-existing acne scarring. My wife has numerous photos with time stamps indicating absolutely no acne or acne scars. I am stunned with how unprofessional this place is. She attempted to reach out to Dr. Ramagosa personally (thinking he would care since he is the owner) and he threatened to file a restraining order on her! Unbelievable. Makes you wonder what other unethical practices are going on behind the scenes. Just shameful. read more

He has a passion for what he does, and it shows. The day of surgery, he was running behind due to complications with a patient before me. He came in and apologized, saying he takes his time and gets it perfect. I got the same treatment. My surgery should have been 3 hours (breast lift and implant exchange - I went smaller) but took 5 hours. He told my husband this was due to the repairs he had to make once he was in there. My husband said he even personally called that night to check in and see how I was doing. I am about 5 months post-op right now, and today's checkup was regarding a knot I have. As usual, Dr. Park did an exam, discussed his thoughts with me and made sure to explain it in detail and in a way I understood it. (No big medical terms that leave you walking out confused.) He also has a podcast that I listen to. It's very informative about different types of surgeries, as well as other procedures like botox, fillers, and the other services he provides at his office. I highly recommend seeking out a consult with Dr. Park if you're interested in making some changes or refreshers. He is very soft-spoken and kind, and I felt completely comfortable with him immediately. His staff is excellent and very friendly as well.

I specifically asked about waxing while using the acne medicine he prescribed for me, differen. He said waxing was safe. I was waxed a week later and had awful burns on my face that were very painful. He said it must have been an allergic reactions, that he had never seen that reaction from waxing while using this product before. After more research I found this is a very common thing with this sort of medicine. I felt like I walked out with a lot of medicine and very little to no guidance and personally felt like I had inconvenienced him somehow. I called to let his staff know about the risk of this medicine and waxing. I will always do my research from now on and never trust the word of the doctor. I should have done that in the first place. Positive note: He is able to see clients the same day, the other dermatologist in this area were booked for months. His staff was very nice. They accept insurance. I will not be going back. Do not wax while on those sorts of medicines, I am lucky it didn't scar my face. There were 2nd and 3rd degree burns. I am now in the market for a new dermatologist if anyone can suggest one.
