It's normally busy here because the bagels are delicious! The serving of cream cheese is hefty! The veggie cream cheese is really amazing. My family and I love this place! My son loves their pancakes. I enjoy their BEC's. The only one small complaint I will make, without removing a star, is that they do not sell their lox bagel open faced! I was wondering why it was $7.50 when most places it's at least $10.00. But it was still good for the price! I did take one star for the rudeness of some of the girls that work there. It's unfortunate because the owners probably aren't around when these young girls give customers' attitude. Either way; all in all; we love this place! read more

The outdoor seating isn't even remotely socially distanced so people who are eating are literally right next to the front door It is impossible to enter into the building without passing by someone who is actively eating directly next to the door. outside of that when I entered there were three people working there was one woman at the register who was wearing a face mask and accordance with the New Jersey state mandate while the other two men in the background who are actively cooking and handling food were not using gloves and were also not wearing appropriate face attire one of them was wearing a bandana around his head and nothing around his neck or face The other one actually had a face covering but it was down near his neck and not at all covering his face or nose. When JT's bagel hut did the appropriate thing when they had a positive covid test and closed for a period of two weeks we decided to give sunrise a try and while their food is definitely just fine unfortunately we will not return due to the fact that absolutely no part of their protocol during covid is remotely adequate. read more

Ordered port roll egg and cheese and 6 bangles. Pork roll wasn't browned, sandwiches tasted bad. When I got home and tried one of the bagels I realized the bagels had no flavor which Is why the sandwich wasn't very good. Service was good and people nice. read more

Eh, I wasn't impressed. The jalapeño cheddar bagel was covered in baked melted cheese with big jalapeño slices stuck to the outside. If they were chopped up and put into the dough, that would have been better since it really had no pepper taste other than where the slices were stuck on the outside. It was soft though and not chewy. The French toast bagel had no flavor and was hard. It had a cinnamon smell to it but no taste. Can't comment on the sandwiches since I got the bagels plain and to go. read more

I know the other reviews gave this place such high marks but I wasn't too impressed to be completely honest. Don't get me wrong, the staff was great. I ordered a simple turkey, egg whites, and cheese on a plain bagel. When the food was ready it looked really dry and unappetizing. When I took that first bite, it was just as dry as it looked. I was very disappointed to say the least. I'm a big breakfast fan and I've had a lot of great bagel places before. This just didn't do it for me. Maybe it wasn't a good batch, who knows? I most likely won't be coming back here especially with so many other great places to go for breakfast in the area. read more

Great food. This place is best described as a hidden treasure in Lanoka Harbor. Luke makes the BEST pork-roll, egg and cheese on a hard roll on the Jersey Shore. The bagels are incredible..fresh and delicious. You can also pick up a sandwich. The only thing to remember is they close around 1:30 PM, so get there early! read more

Had a job in Bayville (right up the road) but needed to rent a tool from Home Depot. Fortunately as I'm pulling out, I spotted Sunrise. Best move I could have made for breakfast. Had porkroll/egg/cheese on everything bagel....awesome!! Bagel was so light and delicious and actually had all the flavors everything bagels should have and as the previous poster described the porkroll and cheese were almost too good. Hope I have another chance to get down there in the future b/c I will def try other sandwiches. read more

I bought 4 bagels and two containers of cream cheese at Sunrise Bagel this weekend. The bagels were sub-par: stale and didn't taste as if they were freshly made that morning. I could deal with that. The cream cheese, however, was a different story. The small containers of "homemade" veggie and chives cream cheese close over $4 each. When I brought them home and tried one, it tasted like blue cheese - not in a good way. They both smelled rancid and the chive cream cheese had the beginnings of mold growth on the top. The containers were not dated, which is probably some type of health violation. When I told the cashier the issue, she actually opened both up and stiffed them and said "Ewww," as if I was lying. read more

Was not anywhere near impressed with this place. The bagels taste day old, my order was not correct, and the cashier tried giving me the wrong change. I had ordered a pork roll, egg, and cheese on an egg bagel with s/p/c. First off... I got a whole wheat bagel, no cheese, and no s/p/k. I also ordered an egg, turkey, and American cheese with s/p/k. I did not get any eggs, they gave me the wrong cheese, and did not give me the s/p/k. I WILL NOT be going back to this establishment. I'd rather lick dirt than eat here again. Worst place to get bagels. The only thing they have going for them is that they deliver. Every time I order it is messed up, just like today. I told them no ketchup and they put it on both sandwiches. The cheese was not melted and if you want 2 slices of pork roll on a sandwich call Sunrise Bagel. They skimp out on everything. Ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox which I would imagine is a 'standard' at any bagel place. Opened it when I got home and it was really fishy smelling but I thought "ok" and started eating it anyway. Got halfway through and opened up the bagel and the lox just did not look right - sections were brown and flaky - just about puked. Maybe I'm just used to JT's which you can't hold a candle to, but definitely won't be back here. Hate to have to drive across town for breakfast, but got to go with what I know. read more

What a waste of money. Ordered two breakfast platters expecting a meal. Paid $15 in change. Wanted to get two eggs, sausage and home fries . Instead I got disappointing eggs, over cooked chips disguised as home fries and a pathetic flat sausage patty. What a rip off . There's places for four bucks gives you an ample serving of breakfast ... Including toast.
