Totally disorganized!! If you want to be seen by a office that values their patients and their time don't bother coming here.

Dr. Mortaji and his staff managed to get a cap on my kid's back tooth and extract two baby teeth…read morewithout nitrous or sedation and without my kid even realizing it! My 6 year old son has had severe dental anxiety. At our previous dentist we made two attempts to get that cap done. They put him on nitrous for the first try, and oral anesthesia on the second with three assistants holding him down. We were told that our only option would be to put him under general anesthesia. We decided to get a second opinion. Dr. Mortaji assessed my son's situation and administered treatment quickly and calmly. My kid was horrified when we arrived for the visit and calm when we left. I had to take him to the bathroom afterwards to show him that he lost his two bottom front incisors and had a cap put in! Best!

The dentist is a complete jerk that hardly speaks English. He is rude and not comforting to children. My 8 year old daughter was so excited to show she had no cavities and he was rude and unprofessional. The dingbat dental assistant was also rude and did not know her head for a hole in the ground. Nightmare!! No wonder they do not like the parents to go back with their children. However, one older gal at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming, other front desk lady did not want to set down the morning paper to check my daughter in for her appointment or get us paperwork. What a slob!

While I understand schedules can be busy, I was discouraged to hear the next available appointment was in September for a child in pain. Thankfully, three incredible team members Jodeca (sorry i didn't get your spelling) Evan and Jessica went above and beyond to make sure my son was seen the same day. Their compassion, teamwork, and willingness to help made all the difference. They didn't just treat his tooth, they treated us with kindness, empathy, and genuine care. Thank you for reminding me that there are still healthcare professionals who truly put patients first. I am beyond grateful for everything you did today. The only area I hope to see improved is appointment availability for children experiencing urgent dental pain. Other than that, the care we received was exceptional. With gratitude, A very thankful mom.

This place was better in the past. There is terrible communication when calling to schedule or…read morereschedule. Their calls are now being forwarded to a call center which seems to be out of state or out of the country. Additionally, there is no communication about which building the appointment will be in (there are two building side by side, one is ortho and one is general dentistry). There is over-communication about appointment reminders. We don't need a text or two every day for a week leading up the appointment. Front desk staff were rude, seemed to have their jobs. They were not friendly nor welcoming. I found them to be loud with patient information making HIPAA violations during our wait in the lobby. The wait time once checked in was long as well considering how empty the building was. We are disappointed with our most recent experience. The customer service has unfortunately plummeted.

I liked that I got to pick a movie to watch while Dr. Peck and his helpers worked on my teeth. Dr. Peck, you are a very nice and good dentist! From J. 7 years old Dr. Peck and his staff have been friendly, caring, and professional in all our dealings with them over the past 3 years. Dr. Peck is wonderful with children, taking an interest in them, explaining what he's doing in an appropriate and understandable way to them, and calmly providing treatment. His staff have all been friendly and professional as well. During our last appointment, we observed Dr. Peck and his staff working with a very difficult patient situation. Both Dr. Peck and all his staff handled the difficult and frustrating situation in a professional, calm, kind, respectful way. I was highly impressed. As I have experience working in both a medical-outpatient-clinic setting and an inpatient setting, I understand very well that for staff to handle these types of difficult situations with professionalism and in a calm, respectful, caring way is difficult and a testament of the quality and character of these people. They all did an excellent job handling the situation. Thank you for providing excellent care, professional treatment, and for making a visit to the dentist so enjoyable that my children are always excited when they are due for another cleaning! (They are even excited to go to an appointment when they need to have Dr. Peck fix a spot on a tooth that the "sugar bugs" got to!). ~J.'s Mom

This dentists at this office are great. My kids have been going to this office for years. However,…read morelast year I was billed an incorrect amount, and it was billed to my FSA card. The office staff that did the billing texted a receipt to me, which upon review was incorrect. She overbilled me by almost $140. Anyone with an FSA knows that they won't even accept an incorrect amount. I tried four different times to get this corrected because all they needed to do was issue a refund for the portion that was incorrect or provide a revised receipt about why the original amount was correct. The office manager never returned my calls, they never responded to emails, and quite frankly I don't want to go in there after all this because they are so unprofessional. So disappointing after all these years of being loyal patients of this office.

Once a Great Dental Clinic, Now Deeply Disappointing…read more My family has been patients at Family Dental for just over a year. Early on, they earned our trust--they offered appointments that worked for two working parents of three children, and even coordinated back-to-back bookings. The office felt genuinely family-friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, starting early this year, things took a troubling turn. During a February checkup, two of my children were told they needed multiple procedures: fillings, extractions, and even a crown. I requested to book those immediately but was told they needed to confirm insurance first. I waited over 20 minutes at the desk only to be told they'd call me later with a quote. That call never came. When I followed up, I encountered concerning service. The representative--who I believe is the office manager--was dismissive and twice placed the phone down instead of properly placing me on hold, letting me overhear unrelated conversations with other staff. She repeatedly asked if I was "okay" with the cost, despite me clearly stating it wasn't a problem. Her tone and insistence left me feeling judged, as though I couldn't afford the treatment or didn't understand her explanation. At our next visit, we arrived early for our 1:00 pm appointment and waited nearly five minutes before anyone acknowledged us, despite five staff members being present--including the office manager. When I asked about reimbursement if services weren't received, the response insinuated that I didn't want to pay rather than simply providing clarity. My 8-year-old was especially nervous, and while one kind dental assistant allowed me to accompany her briefly to offer comfort, I was shocked by what my daughter shared afterward. She said the dentist told her the assistant couldn't stay because she had "wasted her time." That's not how you speak to a scared child. To make matters worse, I was nearly charged for an extraction that wasn't performed--only numbing was done. When I tried to clarify at checkout, the office manager repeatedly interrupted me and made it clear she didn't want a conversation. She finally said she'd check with someone "higher up," but I could hear her loud phone conversation where she misrepresented me as refusing to pay for services my child "received." That, on top of everything else--including my daughter saying the dentist was "mean"--solidified our decision: this most recent visit was our last. I understand staffing issues happen, but that doesn't excuse lack of empathy, poor communication, and dismissive treatment. A pediatric-friendly clinic should prioritize kindness and clarity, not frustration and judgment.
