I took the advice of my father to take a "safer" way home while coming back from an out of town trip. Here's a tip, in the digital age, sometimes Google outweighs a father's advice. While taking the father suggested route I needed gas before I got home. Being on a road I had no idea where it was going to take me I literally pulled into the first gas station that I saw along the road. That brings us to here. I pulled in and because of the snow the lot is a slip sliding mess. Gas pricing was your basic Pennsylvania pricing. Then you go inside. I'm not sure what to make of the inside here. It's so many things crammed into one small space. I couldn't even focus. I went and got myself a drink and then to the counter. This has to be a place in this small town that everyone knows everyone, whether you like it or not. The kid working the counter talked to everyone that came in. I finally got my drink and cigarettes and ran out the door. Not that I didn't want to be here, it was just so busy inside.

Go Moore Store is basically a replacement for the once nearby Davidsville Fuel. And I have to say…read morethat it is a great upgrade from what was offered before. The building offers more space for what was all being offered at the original location. I applaud them for doing this as it is a much better location that allows for everything they have to offer. This is located right off Route 219, when going north and you exit at Davidsville you are basically right in front of this after you exit. Great location for all travelers. They offer fuel for everyday vehicles and fuel for the many trucks that pass through the area. Inside is a mix or ideas that all somehow work together. The store itself offers many different services. There is fresh made food and deli items available at the counter. There is also ready made food in coolers to grab to ebb your hunger. The offer an array of convenience items to grab and go. Also offered is a limited variety of groceries. You can make this a one stop shop if you want. Grab your milk, eggs, bread, frozen items, seasonings, meats, snacks, condiments, etc. They also offer beer, so if that is your need, you can get it here. They offer PA Skill Games if you want a distraction. There is a small dine in area if you want to eat while here. In all honesty, this was greatly needed in this area. It offers something that you would have to travel a ways to get. There is no real grocery store in the area and this fills that void a bit. On that honesty kick here, their food, being made fresh, is really good. Great place to grab your lunch for your workday or a quick dinner at home.

After driving forever looking for a place to get something to eat, I came across the Flight 93 Memorial, which unfortunately was closed at the time. Several minutes after continuing east on the 30 (Lincoln Highway) I stopped at this gas station to grab a soda and whatever they had to go, but on entering the store I saw a good sized hometown restaurant with plenty of tables at the back of the store, and diner-style seating if you just want to pull up a stool for yourself. Sitting at the stools, I could see the kitchen was immaculately clean. I looked over the menu which was surprisingly comprehensive, with many items to choose from including burgers, tacos, pizza, sandwiches and a lot more, and even creative and harder to find, but great tasting food, like the cuban sandwich, which is what I ordered. It was just a few minutes past closing time, which I didn't know at the time, but was surprised to hear they were happy to make my sandwich for me. In a land of chain restaurants, where being closed means being closed, I really appreciated that personal effort on their part. The sandwich was excellent! It was so good I had to thank the chef personnally. I've had cubans before, and this was a great one. When I was done eating, I would have ordered another one for the road had it not been so late. The team here was great, friendly and fast. The prices are more than reasonable. Jeff the owner was great to talk to. He's a real friendly guy with some great success stories. In chatting with him I learned the restaurant had just been added only several months ago and was doing very well. I can see why. Based on the owner, the team he's brought together and the quality of the food and service, I would definitely recommend this location for any hungry travelers, family or solo. Next time I'm on this stretch of the 30, I'm definitely stopping here again. Notes: There is a large red digital sign that is part of the gas station sign advertising the restaurant. There is a picnic table outside. You can buy gas and all of the conveniences of a gas station you would expect. There is an ATM inside. They also have a walk-up window for ice cream. Plenty of parking all around the parking lot for the gas station. This location is directly on the 30 (Lincoln Highway) only minutes from the Flight 93 Memorial.

This section of Route 30 in particular is a two lane stretch and can feel monotonous to drive. To note, even though this is labelled as Glassmere Fuel Service, they offer Gulf fuel. That seems to be what is happening to all Glassmere stations. If you go to look for this under Gulf, or their website, it will still pop up as Glassmere Fuel Service. Seeing how there is no competition anywhere nearby, the price of gas is basically what you are stuck with. Four total pumps, not much else going on with the outside. I know a lot of people are raving about the diner portion of this business, but I was not able to partake in that. When I was here the diner was closed. I am assuming just for the time being, but I am not sure. I hope it is not because I would sure love to try the food.

It is kind of like an oasis when travelling in this area of Pennsylvania. This sits on a fairly big piece of land, but somehow still feels small. Maybe that is because many people stop here to get gas or pick a forgotten item at home. My most recent visit here I observed many people coming out with items like milk and bread. You may end up paying a bit more than at your neighborhood grocery store, but I don't think many people would mind due to the fact that you are saving yourself a trip and some hassle. As far as gas prices, they are reasonable and expected for the area. Honestly I feel like this spot could charge whatever it wanted. They do not have any immediate competition nearby. It is one of the first exits to Somerset that offers gas. And people will come here regardless of that. Not sure who supplies the gas, but it seems to be fairly good with mileage. For a roadside stop, definitely fills the need.
