I am not 100% sure if this is the Sunoco that I had went to, but it also had a car wash attached to it.
Now, I understand that the economy is hard. Gas is 2.47.
I'm not sure if the workers here get paid based on commission or minimum wage or it's a family business.
I had went here with my family, to pick up has for our two hour journey.
The driver had told the worker he wanted 10 dollars. The other money we had was for tolls.
The worker filled the gas past ten dollars. The driver told him to stop because it went past what we wanted.
Considering this, I would expect the worker to apologize and let us pay for what we had asked for.
The man had filled up the tank to 13 dollars thinking the driver had said fill up the tank.
Honestly, has is something you can't really mess up with. It's completely unprofessional to assume someone said something else to get the company more business-or whatever the case may be.
If you're unsure about what the customer wants, repeat it back to the customer-DO NOT ASSUME.
So when we wanted to pay, the associate said it was 13. Excuse me? You would've kept going passed what we wanted if we did not stop you.
Back and forth, the driver,, front seated passenger and associate argued about the price. Are you serious? Then he insisted that the money would come out of his pocket.
Well, I'm sorry. To be frank and blunt but that was not our problem.
HE messed up, not us. Yet he wanted us to pay extra?
I gave an extra dollar that I had found in my pocket earlier that day.
I insisted to speak to the manager but he was not on the premises.
The police were mentioned and the driver got so aggravated he insisted on getting out of the car and waiting for someone higher in the business to come.
The associate walked away mumbling and we drove away.
NOW, this would've have all been avoided if the associate would've just repeated what the driver wanted if he wasn't sure-even if an attitude may arise.
Customer service has been my career for over six years and I have never seen such unprofessionalism.
Train your workers better Sunoco.
This experience was bull shit. Excuse my french.
