I went here for a pedicure, considering the past reputation. I did not realize that it had sold to a new owner. My pedicure was painful, and I don't want to identify the person, but it was not a good experience. I got gel nails, and when my toenail peeled all it had black, stinky stuff under it. Before I start my review, I have to say that I am very picky when it comes to not only the shape of my nails, but I expect the work to last minimum three weeks. I don't mind paying for work as long as it's quality work. After spending the last nearly 2 decades in the DFW area and hopping from nail salon to nail salon to nail salon in constant search for the perfect nail artist, I was determined to find a place to call home. Remember, I'm picky. I first found Sunnys Nails Studio in April 2021. I had a couple of events coming up and knew that I Wanted to find someone to consistently do my nail work. Instead of throwing something extremely difficult airway my first round I decided that I would test the most basic of nail tech abilities. I asked for a simple ombré, which Sunny performed herself. It was probably the best hombre set of nails I've ever had. Ever. Since then, I have returned to Sunnys Nails studio at least once a month and I am happy to say I have never walked away unhappy or dissatisfied with my nails. Any design I've ever requested they have been able to perform and out do tenfold. Being that I am a professional women's physique Competitor and I spend a lot of my time in the gym I am very rough on acrylic nails. But somehow, the Nails that I receive at Sunnys Nails studio can with stand at minimum three weeks of my very active lifestyle. I have, and will, continue to recommend Sunnys Nails studio to anybody who is looking for a quality set of acrylic nails, manicure, or even pedicure that has a quality price to match it. I got a bad nail fungus that took me 9 months to get rid of and 12 months to grow my toenails back from here. I had been in the hospital and had not been able to have a pedi for a year! then I got one. they don't clean their tools or sanitize! then left with itchy toes and a horrible fungus ! Oh the girl took clippers out of a basket and cut in three toenails And then pitched them back in the basket she got them from. I was worried and watched. The fungus worked really quick. I called and told Son y about it and she didn't offer a refund. They do not sanitize their supplies. Never again. And I also talked To her in the phone about it. read more

This place is one of the few left out there that still believe in customer service! I'm new to the area and was shocked to find this little gem. Everyone was so hospitable and nice! The shop is in an old house which I loved! Sunny and her team are professional, kind and knowledgeable. I felt like I had been a customer there for years! I also love how Sunny seems to take the younger technicians under her wing and really teach them about life lessons and certain techniques. What a wonderful experience! I was visiting family from out of town and able to make a same day appointment. I even talked my brother into joining me and the two of us had amazing pedicures. This is the dirtiest nail salon I've ever walked into. The girl who was originally helping me disappeared. After having my feet untouched in cold water for 45 minutes, I decided the experience could only get worse and left. It looked like toddlers had been playing salon with gorillas, hair all over and nothing seemed like it had been cleaned in years. read more

I feel very disappointed to have to give this place such a low review because I had high hopes coming here. The girl removed my previous gel polish off by solely using her drill, no nail polish remover used- I kept telling her the drill felt like it was burning my nail beds so she just slowed down how long she kept it on there. Alas, she didn't even get all my previous nail polish off. There are strips of it still on the corner of EACH of my nails {pictures posted.} I've never had a nail break, but she thinned my nails out so much by doing this, that I have a full breakage past the root on my pointer finger & 2 other nails have a rip at the sides.. very painful experience & I don't appreciate the lack of care on that.. Once that was done & she had trimmed what was left of my nails, she immediately went to put the nail polish on. She did not pay a single bit of attention to my cuticles, they were not cut, not even touched. Which is quite an annoyance, once you get them done every week, it's quite noticeable when they're looking the way they do now.. She didn't have me water wash off the powder from the drilling remains of my nails, so that was mixed in with my new polish. The polish is wavy & disfigured.. My boyfriend pointed out more stuff to me than I even wanted to realize after they were done & THAT in itself, says a lot.. he's a man & doesn't pay attention to much having to do with beauty. I met sunny for a few moments before she left, & that's the only reason I don't give my experience less than 2 stars. She was absolutely lovely & I would've loved if I had had her do them for me. I feel bad having to post this because it's her business, but I don't appreciate spending hard earned money that I could've had my little girl do for free.. read more
