We brought our dog Rosie to Sundance on a recommendation from a coworker of my father's since we…read morewere heading out to Angola for a couple of days and could easily drop her off in Hamburg. It's definitely a drive from where I live but I'd say it was pretty worth it. We brought our puppy in the afternoon; Rosie didn't have her Bordetella vaccination when we spoke to them over the phone, but they were able to give it to her when we went to drop her off. We were able to bring her own puppy food from home, and a few of her toys. The workers were quick to get everything processed and get the puppy into a kennel. 'Playtime' was an additional fee (only $5), but all other care was included in the package. She was given her food and water frequently, of course, and each kennel had an opening near the back that led to a small fenced-in area outside (this was kept open all day so that the dogs could go outside whenever they needed to!). We were shown around the area and got to look at the artificial grass outdoors, and everything looked clean and taken care of. The woman who showed us around even seemed a little embarrassed to find some dog droppings that hadn't been picked up yet, assuring us that she tries to keep things all cleaned up. The other dogs in the kennel at the time all seemed so happy, so I think their contentedness can speak for how great this kennel is. My puppy was eager to be back home with me, but I think that's only because she isn't used to being left alone like that. If we ever end up going somewhere that we can't bring a dog to, we will certainly leave her there again. I could tell by how busy the workers were that they are very dedicated to their work, which is to be expected when working with dozens of different dogs every day. I know that my pup is in good hands when I leave her here.

I took my one year old husky Gabby in today for a shampoo, deshedding, and nail clipping. It was a…read moregreat experience from beginning to end! Gabby had a great time too!! She came out looking like a brand new dog! She's been getting compliments all day on her shiny new coat. She also liked her dog Sunday frozen treat I got for her!

I worked here for barely 2 weeks and had to leave immediately…read more.. They really try to care for the dogs here and are truly gentle. However, there's constant screaming at the dogs at the simplest bark or slightly rough play style. I had a dog literally pee all over herself because she was scarred to move from the corner (sweetest girl). I told my supervisor and the poor girl was just dragged out of the room, put into a kennel with her own urine still covering her legs and tail... Not even a wipe down- They clean the rooms with a hose yet none of the outlets are covered and the small dogs are exposed to peeling, wet, and splintering wood. We're told not to spray the outlets, which is a no brainer. They're organized and I can tell they try. However, I have seen several safety and hygiene concerns.. The outsides were covered in old poop stuck in the snow with dogs that eat and roll in poop.. Or happen to simply fall in it. I run my own pet-sitting and things about this place just really disturbed me.. Constant communication between staff is rare. They are good people but the place needs plenty more effort put in in regards to properly caring for these dogs....

Recently left our two dogs here for 10 days and I have to say I am SO glad we did. Our one dog is…read morevery easy going and we weren't worried, but our other dog who is 10 has a lot of anxiety issues and can be aggressive. So we did not feel ok just leaving him with anyone. From the first day we called them to set up the time they were extremely helpful and encouraging that they could handle him. They had us do a meet up and tour of the facility first which went well. Then they suggested we do a trial night, and i am so thankful we did. We all had a lot of anxiety not knowing what he was going to do, and getting to do that night made us all feel ok that not only could the dogs handle it, but that the staff was super professional. So we left them for 10 days and having the webcam was such a nice part of it. Every time we felt guilty we would just look at the camera and feel better. They were also really nice about us calling and giving us updates. Picked the dogs up and they did great! The entire staff were all so good with him, and now I think he misses all the extra attention! Plus the free bath we got at the end was great, neither dog has ever smelled so good. I know this is a little pricey but it was worth every dollar we spent to know our family members were well taken care of. Now that we know we can go we are already planning another trip! Trust me if you are questioning this just go for it and spend the money. First class service from these great people. Thanks again!

When we arrived, which was later than expected because we were from out of town, wanted to try a…read morecloser boarding facility to where we were traveling, and my work didn't allow me to drive up early enough the night before to make the required drop off time - which is not flexible even though they have 24 hour staff, so I was charged $135 for a night my dog didn't stay - my dogs room reeked of pee and was filthy. We had a trip planned so we had no option but to leave our dog there and hope they would clean the room for him. I felt awful and unsettled as we left. While on our trip, we had a family emergency that required us to cancel a night early and head back to where we live. I expressed this to the front desk, who said because I couldn't get my dog by 4:00 PM (or 4:30 PM - something insanely early) I would be charged a $125 fee for picking up "after hours" - this was not communicated to me previously, and I was told by multiple staff pick up by 6:45 would be fine to not incur a fee. Keep in mind - they have 24 hour staff - so I don't know why I would even need to be charged a fee for getting my dog early when there is staff there that can check us out. I was also charged another $135 for the night my dog did not stay. We had no options, so for 3 days and 3 nights, I paid over $1,000 for my dog's stay. Our dog was also supposed to be groomed on his last day, but was groomed a day early. We gave very specific instructions that he needed prescription shampoo used - which we provided - and they ignored that completely which led to my dog now having hotspots we have had to deal with since returning home (and dealing with our family emergency). The front desk staff was so sweet, and lamented and agreed with my outrageous bill, and stated that "they even charge me to board my dog here and I work here." Yikes. After communicating my disappointment with all that had transpired, I got a $30 credit to my bill for the dirty and pee-filled room, and a $110 refund for messing up the shampoo. That is it. $140 back on an over $1,000 bill. Yes -- many of these issues were in the fine print of the agreements you sign to board your dog - so there is little I can do about it, but I feel it is important others know about these fees and charges. I board my dog at very reputable pet resorts where we live (Pittsburgh, PA) and nothing has ever been this expensive, nor have the staff ever been this difficult or not accommodating. We will not be back.
