I first asked for better teeth and he had a attitude and said he didn't have time for me and that he was only worried about the patients that liked his work. He was always nice to me up until the day I didn't want to accept my teeth that were not straight. He said it was me and he wasn't going to take part for his. The women up front were really nice to me and understanding of the situation. They couldn't believe the way he had treated me. I don't believe I deserved to be yelled at and purposely made to feel embarrassed simply because I didn't like the way the teeth turned out. I gave the dentist two chances to get the teeth right, which is more than enough chances to get them right. All Mr. Collins had to do was listen and take the issues I had into account and fix them. But instead he lost his temper with me and called me names. He wouldn't even let me talk or get a word in edgewise. He made me feel very small and insignificant. He made it very clear that ot was his way or no way at all. Before today I had nothing but good things to say about him, but now that he's shown his true colors I think none to kindly of him.

Had a root canal dome by Dr. Cosby. He was really cool and his style really put my nerves to ease…read more I got in pretty quick after telling them I was in pain. He did a great job and I had no pain afterwords. My regular dentist recommended another oral surgeon but after calling around I found his office wanted nearly $400 more than Dr. Cosby.

My regular dentist said I needed a periodontal Dr for lanap treatment. He knows I do not respond to…read morenumbing shots and sends me to oral surgeon for any major work. I called every periodontist to find I.V. surgery or a twightlight sedation. Leza, at the Dr McDougald's office said, "The Dr. gives you enough valium you won't know what's going on." So, I made the appointment. When I arrived, Leza was there eating her lunch in front of us (it was after 2 p.m.)and we got everything started in a timely manner, x-rays, paperwork. When I went in back with Dr. she was going to start procedure with regular numbing shots. When I said, I was told when I made the appointment that you would have me in a twightlight sedation before procedure, she said she doesn't do that. The Dr treated me like all I was after was drugs. I left. Ended up in E.R. with very bad abscess before I could get to another periodontal office. Found Dr. Lester in Jackson Mississippi, MPSG, who has no problem with my particular problem. And, did outstanding work. He said he has patients who don't respond to regular numbing. Staff was informed and professional. Dr McDougald's office still billed my insurance for work they did not do, told me things that just weren't true to get me there, knowing full well they didn't offer services me and my regular dentist know I needed. So far, I have an e.r. bill. Fun fun. Had to rent a car to go to Jxn for a proper procedure and all the expense of a road trip. Days missed from work and all around stress this entire mess Dr McDougald and Leza have caused me and my family. When on phone to Leza a month after initial appointment, first she said she hasn't billed insurance and she would hold it if I was going to pay it myself, without insurance, but she billed my insurance company days after my appointment. Now, my insurance won't pay for the second and last $1200.00 procedure because Dr McDougald's office charged me for exam that I never would have had, if the receptionist had been honest with me in the first place. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Ever.

I believe I saw Baxter as my actual dentist and she was amazing. She communicated everything she was doing. I went here with a chipped tooth (an emergency but not an emergency) and they got me in literally the next morning (thought I was going to have to wait days to a week). I will be recommending this dentist to everyone I know here in Tupelo.
