Not sure how or why two of my reviews were somehow deleted, but am re-posting. Marc at Sunnybrite proved to be unreliable and downright sketchy when my girlfriend hired him. His help (that he called "people in recovery") was a bs way of saying charging customers for him hiring drunks. Our stuff was damaged and he is not bonded though he lied about that too. Be careful with this guy. We wish we'd have researched it better and looked at his other online reviews expressing the same concern of character. He acts nice to get your business. The primary reason that I'm writing a review is because Marcos called me about a week after the move to ask me if I would consider writing a review for him and he said that it would be a good way to "thank him" -- did he forget that I hired him to help me move and that he was paid? Shouldn't that be thanks enough? I was moving stuff from Flagstaff to Phoenix and had let Marcos know that I was running a little later than the original timeline. He said that was fine. I called him and let him know what time worked for me, and he said that was fine -- then he contacted me to let me know he was running behind (by about an hour and a half). I was clearing out an appt in Flagstaff and had lots of trash, some items that could be sold, and stuff I was keeping. Marcos asked if it would be okay if he took some of the things which could be sold for himself, to sell. He said he would return within 45 minutes to clear out the rest of the apartment, pack up the uhaul and get rid of the trash. I told him that would be fine (it would be trashed anyways). Instead of returning in 45 minutes, he came back about two hours later. I had finished all the packing I had to do, and I had to wait around for him to return. All in all, he did a good job packing the uhaul, and he was very friendly but the fact that he was consistently behind schedule, and not upfront about that was not pleasing at all, considering that I had to drive from Flagstaff to Phoenix with a uhaul and wanted to get on the road before sunset. He made false promises when it came to time, and I thought that was very unprofessional. The fact that he called me asking to write him a review seemed sort of unprofessional as well. I would've preferred an email. This moving company will get the job done and he is competent, but be wary if you are on a specific time limit. read more

This guy is a sketchy dude, my experience was similar to Lenora's except that Marcos doesn't owe me money. He was really erratic and gave me a very uncomfortable feeling that what I was asking for would actually be completed. He seemed desperate for payment from the start - I paid a deposit via paypal before work started and was aggressively pursued for payment before I was able to confirm that the work was done as required (repeated phone calls and texts every couple of hours!). I really don't feel that I received good value for the amount of work required and once Marcos had payment he didn't respond to my emails. It was a really sketchy engagement from start to finish and I feel strongly enough that I want to warn others to avoid this company or at least to proceed with extreme caution if you decide to use them. read more

This was by far my best moving experience ever. Marcos and Danny were incredible! My moving company rescheduled on me and I was in a pinch to find help on the same day. Marcos and Danny were there within an hour and made what was a stressful situation an absolute breeze. They wrapped everything with care and secured it in the truck with room to spare. I could have gotten a much smaller truck had I known how good they were at strategizing and packing. I highly recommend hiring Marcos and Danny, who were so wonderful to work with and to be around. They were very kind, were enjoying themselves and laughing the entire time, not to mention incredibly helpful and focused on eliminating all stress for me. Don't hesitate to hire this company. The owner asked me to leave a review. Here goes... They were not on time which through everything off. Our dresser drawer got broken. This guy has no insurance which makes his carelessness his customers problem if he breaks your stuff. We should know! His attitude was dismissive. I'd never hire his company again. read more

Marcos seemed like a nice guy initially, so I entrusted my business with him. However, shortly thereafter, it was one thing after another as far as excuses for poor decisions. The guy that showed up with him seemed 'on something' and made me feel very uncomfortable. The guy was reckless and I was worried about my belongings. Turns out two things were damaged, one chipped and one cracked, and those were from my grandmother who has since deceased. When confronted about matters, Marcos was dismissive and said "good help is hard to find in this town." He took no responsibility whatsoever! I truly did not appreciate his attitude about it. I am not one to usually leave negative reviews, but it is warranted here. This "business" reminds me of a cardboard house. Flip-floppy at best. read more

During my initial call to this moving service provider, Marcos A., found it necessary to repeatedly state that he is "honest." Each time doing so out of context. I found it odd that he kept reassuring me of his honesty. I contacted SunnyBrite Moving because my first choice was unavailable on the date I had to be moved. I was a bit surprised to learn that he required me to pay a "Good Faith" deposit of $100.00 up front through PayPal (when I scheduled the appointment) and money up front on the moving date - one (1) hour for himself and another man (at $75.00 per man) - $150.00. So, in addition to renting a 20 foot U-Haul truck for the day, paying for whatever quantity of shrink wrap was used during the prep for loading my furniture and other items on the truck, $75.00 per man for two men for whatever number hours it took to complete the move I was to pay $250.00 up front before any services were rendered. Well, I had to move and had no other option. However, I had been very ill one week prior and was bedridden for three solid days. While I believed I had recuperated adequately to schedule the move, I had not and became ill again within hours of scheduling the appointment which jeopardized my move plans and appointment. I did not know whether I would have to be hospitalized or again bedridden at home. When I informed Marcos of this development (later on the same day that I had scheduled the move appointment) and told him I requested a refund of my $100.00, he said he would return it via PayPal - the method he had me use to send the money to him. He contacted me a couple times that evening telling me that he was trying to send the money to me but was experiencing difficulty with the card he had to use. That was odd. I sent the funds from my checking account via PayPal and he received them. All he had to do was return those funds to me. Well, he never refunded my money and ceased to respond to email via PayPal and to voicemail messages. Well . . . So much for all his expressions/claims of honesty. If he is as successful as he claims and is so honest why does he need to keep the $100.00 of a 100% disabled veteran who had to make a change in plan on the same day the appointment was scheduled due to illness? It was not a case of cancelling close to the appointment date. I would proceed with caution before paying any money up front to this mover. This is an update regarding Marcos A. of SunnyBrite Movers. He contacted me not long after he read my review on Yelp and informed me that he needed me to remove the review even though he still has my $100! I told him that is out of the question and that the review remains until he refunds my money. Additionally, I explained that an update explaining when and how he rectified the situation would be more effective for his business reputation than merely removing the review. An update stating that he refunded the money would demonstrate to anyone who has already read this review that he is capable of rectifying a situation. Unfortunately, he has only called me repeatedly and made promises to refund the $100 and made excuses for why he has not yet done so. The longer he drags this out and fails to keep his word his business reputation suffers. As I explained to him, all businesses have occasion to prove that they value customer satisfaction and the way they handle situations determines how potential customers feel about them and whether they will risk doing business with that company. Marcos still has a window of opportunity in this instance. I encourage him to make good use of it. read more

Do NOT use this company! I had them scheduled for my move and they didn't even show up. I called for two days prior to confirm times and never got a call back. When I called the owner the voicemail box was full so I couldn't even leave a message. I never got a response back from them once I paid the deposit. I tried texting, calling, and even emailing with no response from them. Luckily, I found another moving company at the last minute, but others aren't so lucky. I highly recommend paying more and going with a different company. read more

Hired Marcos to help with unpacking after a move to Flagstaff. He and Danny did an awesome job unpacking and organizing the garage. They took a chore we were dreading and and finished it quickly and professionally. After they finished they helped helped with some of the inside unpacking and even moved a very heavy dresser downstairs. They both were very polite and careful with our items. read more

I had to make arrangements to move with only 3 weeks to spare. Marcos and his partner were punctual, professional and took ALL the stress of moving come rely away! Called and spoke to Marcos on Sunday, the day before 4th of July and he said they were all booked for today which I was asking for same day service. He asked what it was we needed moved and I told him it was a refrigerator and he said they would be able to do it and it would be around 5pm. He kept me posted on his time of arrival was very professional and got the job done. Would use again and recommend to others. read more

After looking at these reviews I thought it would be a good idea to just hire these guys to help me move the owner was super nice but they didn't show up on the time we set they didn't move stuff quickly at all and he had to send one worker home because of reasons unknown (looked like he was on something) but the main reason I am writing a review is I don't want the same thing to happen to you like it did to me they didn't move anything carful at all they scratched my furniture and broke my dryer by slamming it over and over down the stairs and when I called him about it he blamed it on me and said it was my fault so now I'm basically out 200 extra dollars to buy a new dryer on Craigslist after paying a fortune for there help also they are UNINSURED movers so whatever they brake its on you not them do yourself a big favor and hire somebody else in town who's insured these guys are a joke and shady and will screw you over is was definitely a lesson learned for me read more

Well, here's exactly how it recently went for me: Marcos and his crew were very recommended by a very reliable, in-the-profession, source. They were available, over the phone, at the very last minute (that last minute was 100% my fault. I hadn't moved in 35 years, and had trouble coordinating everything). Marcos, the owner, agreed--again, over the phone, which, frankly, was a risk to him--to help me out...without flinching at a piano and other tough and fragile items (china hutch, etc.). The crew arrived on time (and I understand that sometimes things happen, but for us they were on time--a bit early, in fact), and stayed well beyond the time needed that I had innocently, but very mistakenly, predicted. To a man, the entire crew was professional, competent, conscientious, friendly, obviously experienced and even proud of their work.They wrapped things carefully. They carried things non-stop. They loaded things into the truck like puzzle masters. The team divided up the duties appropriately and efficiently (that is, everyone knew exactly what they were doing). The spontaneous quote of the day--and no lie here--was: Me, while dropping a box to the truck: "Don't worry too much about this one. It isn't important stuff." the Sunny Brite loader (in the truck): "Sir, we worry about every piece that we handle!" And they did!! I would absolutely, and without hesitation, use Marcos and the Sunny Brite crew again (and again...and again). Not only did they get the job done, and done excellently, but my wife and I truly were left even feeling well, well served by them. read more

Be CAREFUL, be very very CAREFUL.!!!! I called Marcos for help in moving out of a 2/3rds full 10x15 storage unit and into my house, in Flagstaff....a 10 minute drive from the storage unit. Everything was already in boxes, no packing (or unpacking) involved. He quoted me 2 men at $65 an hour for each. I asked how long he thought it would take and he said 6 hours. I then asked if it could be done faster and he suggested 3 men at $75/hour for each and this is when he told me there was a 4 hour minimum. At this point I started questioning him about why it would be more per hour for 3 guys than for 2. He did not have a good answer...no surprise. I calculated the cost and it came to $900!!! I was in shock and I expressed that to him and told him no way was I paying that much....plus btw, I would also have to pay for the truck, that was not included in the $900! Really? Moving is not skilled labor and what he was charging per man per hour was absolutely ridiculous and I told him so. He quickly said, "how about I do this, the entire job for $500". Well , needless to say I did not use SunnyBrite Moving Co. I found another guy for $25 an hour and with me helping we got it done in 3 hours and it cost me $75 for him and another $72.50 for the U Haul truck.!! read more
