I had the daily 3-course menu with scallops as a starter, prime steak for the main course and creme brulee as a desert. The new owners and staff provided service as excellent as the facility, room, and food! In fact, the food was so good that a Russian billionaire came for lunch one of the days we were there (but we were hiking so we didn't see him). We felt truly cared for by all the staff. Even the cleaning ladies were smiling and helpful, giving our kids a few extra pieces of candy. The view is fantastic, and we loved the fire pit outside with the picnic tables and the stream running in the back yard (you can take a dip if you're brave!) Hosts are warm, friendly and helpful. Everything (except the pad thai) was fairly tasty, and not too different to spots in our regular Thai food rotation at home. I ordered the penang curry, which came with a very generous amount of chicken. It was quite spicy (I asked for medium), but not too bad. Quite flavorful, and I would get this again. I was actually quite full after. Also tried some of the minced pork dish with basil. This too was also very flavorful. I didn't love the mince pork, and would recommend getting this with chicken instead. Pad thai was kind of flavorless. Prices are typical high Norway prices. Not terrible given the lack of competition in the area, nice dining environment, taste and portions.

They also have plenty of drinks here at average prices. My cocktail had some bright and fresh raspberries!
