Martin Army Community Hospital - This is my foot after the surgery

This review would be 5 starts if it were just for the equipment/technology that this hospital…read moreutilizes. It's a beautiful space. In addition, the maternity ward was pretty amazing. Cafeteria could use some work (food was normally lukewarm or cold, but I guess you can't expect much from hospital food, right?). Had some issues with my pediatrician - he brushed me off the first time my baby had a cold, saying it'll happen and not to come back unless she has a fever. Then she got RSV a month later (with no persistent fever) and if I hadn't taken her to the ER based on my instincts, I don't know what would've happened. Luckily it never got to the point where she wasn't breathing, but she started getting chest retractions and it was terrifying. I brought this up at her next appointment, saying that he was pretty condescending and his attitude made me hesitate when she was sick. In addition, any time I have an appointment in the afternoon, it's always super late. It wouldn't suck as much if I lived remotely close to the hospital, but it's an hour round trip, which makes it a PITA if you have a baby whose entire world depends upon you. They could at least give me a heads up with a phone call or something, right? Broke my ankle a few years ago, and although I didn't know it was broken yet, I went in for an x-ray, saying that it was so painful that I couldn't sleep and all they gave me was naproxen (i.e., "ranger candy") which didn't help at all. I wasn't given any form of decent pain medication until weeks later, and the treatment plan wasn't clearly outlined or given to me, and it took THREE MONTHS from the time my ankle was broken to receive surgery to retrieve the bone shard in my ankle. My ankle still swells up occasionally after I walk more than a mile or two which sucks, but obviously it's not their fault I broke my ankle in the first place (I fell about 6 inches while rock wall climbing and managed to fall in just the right way...). Also, while I was pregnant, there was an gyno that was a complete jerk (to put it lightly) and I will never forget his name - Dr. Plunkett - because he was the only obstetrician that I never wanted to see again (I saw a different one pretty much every appointment during my pregnancy). Oh, and also went I went in for my scheduled induction, apparently they made the appointment wrong, and the department wasn't expecting me. So that left me sitting around in the cafeteria downstairs for a few hours while they contacted a surgeon to make sure they could be on hand just in case. The delivery team I ended up having was AMAZING, though. The facilities are GREAT. The organization/staff is hit-or-miss. Sometimes people working there are great, sometimes they're flat-out rude. This is my first experience with a military hospital, but I'll be looking for off-post providers when we PCS.

Went to this ER last night with one of my 19 month old twins. She has been coughing, had a…read morepersistent fever for 5 days, congestion and vomiting. Dr saw us for maybe 3 minutes, swabbed for RSV then said it was negative and she just had a cold. I then asked if they could check her for strep and the dr goes " oh she doesn't have that" I asked "how could you know that without testing her?" " well strep doesn't cause a runny nose so just take her home and wait." I then raised concerns about her not eating or drinking very much and was told very condescendingly that "kids just don't eat when they're sick and just give her a popsicle" We went home with a nasal spray and that was it. Went to her pediatrician this morning and both of my children have strep!!!! Absolutely ridiculous care and lack of concern for an infant who has been sick/ not eating very much for 5 days. Don't come here if you want to be taken seriously at all about your sick child.

Patriot Outfitters - Store's website $150, rec $165, we also have price sticker showing boots prices to be sold at $150

TERRIBLE! EVERYTHING is OVERPRICED (please read to end)Went to purchase work boots for my husband…read more(required for his uniform). The sales girl told me they were $164.99. I quickly looked on Amazon(via phone) listed for $150 and I asked if she would honor their price she said ,"No, and anything cheaper online is usually fake". I disagreed and reluctantly purchased the boots at 165. Got them home, husband tried them on, while removing his foot a price sticker came out of the boot, the sticker states $150. We return the boots and ask for the price to match the price tag which came from the boot. The clerk(a different clerk, other girl off) refused, my husband pulls up patriotoutfitters website, this store's website, the boots are $150, not $165 and the clerk refuses to honor the price (from her company and we have a PRICE TAG from the item) She just talks in circles, giving the same excuses over and over. We lost $15 and learned to steer clear of Patriot Outfitters! I hope this review helps others. Everything in this store is OVERPRICED!!! I found a riggers belt online and shipped for $20; at this store it was $47 plus tax (it would have been $51.70). I'm sure it's not the clerks fault, they are doing what they are trained to do, but the company is who is to blame here. Retailers taking advantage of working people. When we contacted Patriot Outfitters they gave us the exact reasonings, circles, and excuses the sales clerk gave us. This is another company taking advantage of the military. This company knows our soldiers have to have certain regulated items and they take advantage of this by inflating prices. Many soldiers don't have time or a spouse to help them get items they need in the time needed. So they have to come here, this company knows this and raises the prices and takes advantage, especially of the young soldier. Which, the sales lady did tell me the things online are fraud, if that's the case, then are the things at Patriot Outfitters fraudulent? Better be careful what you are training your employees to pitch to your customers. Shame of you patriot Outfitters for taking advantage of the ones who protect you. Shame shame

My hubby found the shop to help fix iPads and iPhones frequently destroyed by our autistic children (which would've been pricey anywhere else). We have been back several times (at least 5-6) to repair broken tablet screens, motherboards, software/update issues and more on different devices. Randy is knowledgeable, always friendly and welcoming and helpful in explaining the issues. We've had same day repairs and some that took a day or more, but all repairs felt quick and efficient with the corresponding problem, which we really appreciate given our children's need for the devices. I cannot recommend this shop enough for your device repair needs Whenever we have any issue, I'm always confident that Randy and the Repair Doctors have our back!!

The technician that we worked with was Randy. She was very patient explaining all of the options we had for our equipment problems. There was a gentleman there that I talked to about getting my Android phone screen fixed and he quickly told me what he would need to do and he gave me an estimate. And he was always very professional and asked if I had any questions. Both of these representatives gave us a very positive impression of their firm THE REPAIR DICTORS on Manchester Expressway 1709D 706.221.2330. We would highly recommend this establishment for any electronic repair without any hesitation!!! We will be going back for any issues that we may need!! Chuck & Tina
