Service couldn't be better. Really! Everything about pricing was explained to me on my first visit. Though we have Dutch insurance, we don't have vision. But with these prices, it wasn't concern! The eye exam was standard and the man giving it was super nice and was happy to explain everything...even the process. The hardest part is always picking out the glasses. But someone even helped us understand things we might want to look for based on our preferences. And he was super patient considering how long it took for us. Honestly, I'm happy to recommend this place to everyone!

There weren't any public washrooms, excluding those outdoor urinals ("pee curls") that only men can really use, and an employee of a nearby shop directed us to the Magna Plaza shopping center. There were washrooms on the second floor of the shopping center, but it cost €1. But when you have to go, you have to go, and I figured since they were charging to use the facilities, it would at least be a clean and comfortable experience -- when you pay for something, there are certain expectations. To get to the entrance of the washrooms, there were two turnstiles. I went to one turnstile, but it was cash only and I didn't have any cash on me, so I went to the second turnstile that accepted credit cards. However, there was a group of fucking tourists, paying by cash, blocking the credit card only turnstile, while they took their sweet time trying to figure out the currency. I finally managed to get into the washroom, and there was no toilet paper! Seriously, if I have to PAY to use the toilet, there better damn well be toilet paper! Thank goodness I always carry napkins and tissues with me and I wasn't taking a shit! I then went to wash my hands, but there was a MALE employee in the WOMEN'S washroom, and he was blocking the sinks and wouldn't let me wash my hands! I was able to find the handicapped washroom and wash my hands in there, but there was no paper towel. This one of the worst public bathroom experiences I have had (that did not include bodily fluids or excrement everywhere). The lenses were very expensive transition lenses and I was heartsick at the thought of having to buy new replacement glasses. Maryama spent time with us looking at all of the children's frames they had in stock - looking for a pair that we could pop in the old, undamaged lenses into. Success! We were able to find a pair that not only my son approved of but also could accommodate the old lenses. This saved us many hundreds of euros. Not only that, I had my eyes tested while I was there to make sure that my current glasses were still the right prescription. They're still ok! The store has a beautiful selection of frames so we will be back when it is time to get new glasses. The staff are so friendly and helpful.
