I asked for medium because I was pretty tender and my upper and lower back needed some attention. There wasn't a single time I needed her to use more or less pressure it was like she knew exactly what my body needed and even found areas I didn't know needed more attention and addressed them. There was a moment the traditional peaceful music you expect at spas ended up turning off and instead of feeling the need to impulsively step away to go fix it, she was focused on my shoulders and it was clear she was very attentive to my care. As someone who was having a significant pain flare from a chronic pain disorder, as well as being bed bound from surgery and just returning back to work causing my entire body to be in severe pain, I am shocked at how I never had to grit my teeth and how calm my body felt after. I'm writing this having just coming home and the warm, peaceful feeling from my nerves is something I never experience having a medical condition that fires them off. We were both placed in rooms near the front entrance. The therapist assigned to my wife behaved in a way that left her feeling violated and humiliated. What happened: * During the session he repeatedly moved too close to intimate areas. * He insisted she remove her shirt and bra for a back massage after she said she was not comfortable doing so. * He left the room without providing proper draping; when he returned he only gave her a bath towel and did not provide adequate coverage. * Her room had no door, only a small curtain, and was located near the front door where people were coming and going. This made the situation especially exposing and distressing. * By contrast, I was never asked to remove my shirt and was properly draped while the therapist worked my back. My wife left feeling victimized, embarrassed, and very upset. This ruined our anniversary and Valentine's Day. I am seriously considering filing a formal complaint and possibly pressing charges. Warning to other customers: Be cautious, especially women. This establishment failed to respect my wife's boundaries and provided inadequate privacy and draping.
