I have a feeling that whilst spring has sprung a lot of other places in the MD Burbs, we just quite…read morearen't there yet with Constitution Gardens. From the pictures on Yelp I expected the scene to be a bit more of lush greenery and even maybe some rose bushes. When I went to the park, it was a bit more barren and ides of winter than I was hoping for. That being said, the quaint little cozy stroll of a park is located right in old town Gaithersburg behind a large apartment complex that I'm CERTAIN gets its fill of it during the spring and summer. The park has AMPLE amounts of seating. Bench swings line the entry path which also has a little pavillion that could host a number of different happenings - first thoughts go to band stand. Then on the path you find a circled group of seats that evoke King arthur and the knights of the roundtable vibes. Most especially because the head chair at 12 o clock - crafted of large branches can only be considered a throne of sorts. Stroll further in the park and you find a lengthy sand village, complete with miniature log houses, outlined in stumps, and to me gives off the impression of a Japanese sandy zen garden. There are 2 slides built into the side of a hill that tempt the childhood in me. And another large sunken circular pit that has tree stumps to sit in. At the end of a garden is a water pump that has a little downspout into a creek. Of course... I tried the waterpump and the well was unfortunately dry. But, as a kid I could only imagine the fun when it's really going. It seems like Constitution Gardens has the potential of a young nation that just asserted its independence from its empire. I really pray that it's somewhat untended to current condition is just it's current hibernation phase from the winter. Because man oh man can you just imagine the fun that kids would have here, and the VARIOUS spots that parents could congregate and come together for rich and vibrant conversations about their community. I will go back to the gardens later in the Spring to see if it's lived up to it's inherent potential. I truly can't wait.

First - this is an amazing park…read more 1. Soccer fields everywhere!!! 2. Cricket, I walk by on the weekends and watch the matches - i miss cricket! 3. The walking trails are well maintained and both bikers and walkers are friendly! This is an amazing park. With indoor tennis, indoor pool as well as outdoor tennis, and outdoor pool. A water recreation area. Soccer fields and baseball/softball diamonds as well as a huge picnic area. This part has something from everyone! It was windy while i was walking in the park. But, the people were still out watching their kids play soccer! There is a castle, a pirate ship, and a frontier village to play on. Each large structure has accessible ramps for young children. There are swings, rockers, slides and other fun equipment for kids to play on. The park has baseball fields and soccer fields for kids to play games on. They get quite busy during the school year. This park was redesigned and provides a lovely area for kids to enjoy. It is right off Falls Road in Rockville.

There are some cool things here I've never seen at any other parks like a little elevator thing that moves down with a child's weight, climbing webs and ropes, a globe shaped chair that spins, musical bells...and a basketball court with hopscotch right next to the playground. There are close bathrooms which is a huge plus! We went on a very cold and windy day and stayed for an hour despite the temperatures - the kids were having that much fun! The only negative is that it's right next to the county animal shelter, which gives us the willies when we remember how nasty they were to us when we wanted to adopt a dog...but that's a review for another day :)

Staff were friendly and accommodating when we needed an extra table and making announcements to gather the kids together. They provided some juice boxes; we brought extra snacks and drinks, 7 pizzas from ledos and a cake. The whole experience was smooth and the kids were happy. That's all that matters. The equipment looked clean and in good shape. The party was for a 7 year old. Kids invited ranged from 4-10. All of them had a blast!

In that area there is a large play boat with a slide, a ramp, a wheel, a couple of climbing points ,and a few bouncy animals and stationary animals as well. It was hard to determine all the semantics of the park given that we visited when it was snow covered. The entire surfacing is rubber which is nice. The larger play area is a treehouse theme with a few different slides, a bridge, and a few various climbing ropes. There are plenty of picnic tables for warm weather and Theresa parking lot. A little trail also circles around the playground area. This is a really nice park: however, we only visited due to an appointment in the area. I don't think I'd venture here without another errand or such to tend to in this area.
