When I picked up my items I was horrified with the end result of my banner. There were black lines which resembled scratch lines down my banner, image layers were not properly printed (layers missing) and some colours were drastically different (hot pinks were yellow!). In all fairness, they did try to get me to print a sample for my banner for something like $30 more. Since I failed to do that (I was working on a very tight deadline) I will take responsibility for the drastic colour differences. However, it is completely unacceptable to have random black lines (found no where in the print file) printed down your banner and blotchiness in colouring on the banner (areas that were lighter and darker for the same colour!). My other print product, a display board - the lettering was all fuzzy and not the least bit crisp. These were high resolution files that were made by an established graphic design company. I should mention, I printed both of these products at another print shop and the files printed perfectly. When I walked in that day to pick up my banner and display board they were printing a banner for another company and there was blotchiness in that banner too (for one solid red colour!), meaning they knew they had a problem with their printer but still continued to do print work despite this. I demanded a refund of my payment. They employee told me to contact a manager to discuss, so I did. A month and a half later (on Aug 29, 2014) after several calls and emails, an employee of the company (Sumei Lin) stated via email "If you still not happy what we offered to you, there is the final option, Full amount refund for banner $138.00 and 50% refund for your display board +GST." I accepted (as something was better than nothing, and they presumedly wanted to ensure their costs were covered, and by only refunding me 50% of the display board I am guessing that at least covered their costs). I assumed my refund had been processed as I was told it would be via email. When I got my credit card statement I realized they hadn't refunded it, and by then I had surpassed the time limits to report this charge to my credit card company. Several handful of emails and calls by that of myself and an employee of mine had been made to the company since Aug 2014 to get our refund as per their promise in email. They stalled me for months, telling me first the manager had a baby (who is managing in her place?), then they said they thought they refunded it but needed to call their credit card company to see if a refund had been processed. I told them no refund had been made to my credit card but they refused to listen to me. Finally, after 7 months, they only refunded part of what they promised (the banner). They did not refund half of the display board as promised. When I tried to get this 50% difference, all they did was ignore our calls and emails. The employee, Sumei Lin has been very disrespectful and rude, and told me "I am so annoying" multiple times. Who says that to a customer who is just seeking a refund that YOU promised? Of course a client is going to call and email multiple times if they have been kept waiting 7 months for their promised refund. In short, only do business with this company if you want a low quality print job. If you go against my advice and do it anyway, don't expect any level of customer service/a refund without wasting more time than it is worth to get one. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they didn't even respond to my complaint.
