Hiring Amplomedia has unfortunately become a very costly mistake for our business…read more We set a very clear monthly ad budget of $6,400 (an increase we agreed to after Lance's recommendation to boost spend in order to hit higher revenue targets). Without any formal approval or proper communication, Amplomedia burned through nearly $15,000 in just over two weeks--between ad spend and agency fees. The breaking point? Just days after I sent an email expressing serious concern that we were already over budget--an email that was ignored entirely by both Lance and Dani (no response whatsoever)--our daily Meta ad budget was inexplicably increased from $90 to $430/day, without any consent. It's difficult to comprehend how a direct warning about overspending could be disregarded, only to be followed by more aggressive, unauthorized ad spend. That level of disregard highlights just how fragmented their internal communication is--and how many disconnected hands were involved in managing what should've been a straightforward, small-scale account. To make matters worse, the account felt like a revolving door of team members. I had no consistent point of contact who could answer basic questions about our ad spend, campaign direction, website issues, or overall strategy. Communication was chaotic, unclear, and disconnected. Most alarming of all: no one could clearly explain who was managing our campaigns. It was eventually confirmed by Aiden via email that some of the work was being outsourced by "team members" out of country--yet we were being charged premium agency prices even when it was clear that entry level workers were making changes to our account. The strategy felt rushed, uncoordinated, and deeply unprofessional. The deliverables reflected this: * Google Ads were left at a 68% optimization score. (I've personally achieved 90% without formal training.) * No conversion tracking, Google Tags, pixel setup, or analytics were implemented--which are foundational for any paid ad campaign. * Meta ad performance was significantly worse than what I had previously achieved on my own. My in-house campaigns were getting $0.07 CTC. Their lowest was $0.18. * Landing pages? Three basic duplicates with minimal effort or strategy. I had to manually edit each one to make them usable. Despite this, Amplomedia charged us over $6,000 in two weeks--a fee that is impossible to justify based on what was actually delivered. As for billing: we were charged $4,200, then another $1,837 just days later. For what, exactly? Sloppy execution, zero ROI, and no strategic oversight. Naturally, we requested a refund to recover from the financial damage. Amplomedia was fully aware of our sensitive business situation--yet the response has been silence. And here's what's most unacceptable: It has now been over a week since we formally requested a refund. There has been no urgency, no accountability, and no resolution. We're a small business trying to survive--and Amplomedia has shown no real care through action for the position they've put us in. We've since moved to another agency, and the difference has been staggering. Within 12 hours, they cleaned up our campaigns, implemented proper tracking, and established clear communication. Their fee? $750/month--a fraction of Amplomedia's cost, with far better results. A word of warning to other businesses: If you do not have prior marketing or advertising knowledge, be especially cautious. I was fortunate to have enough experience to recognize mismanagement and demand answers. But someone with less familiarity could be taken advantage of far more easily--left overcharged and overwhelmed, with no clear way to understand what's being done on their behalf. If you're a small business with tight margins and big goals, do not risk your time, your trust, or your budget here. Amplomedia didn't just miss the mark--they left us overbudget, underdelivered, and unheard. -- Megan Ledarney Owner, Extensionist Salons Inc.

When I picked up my items I was horrified with the end result of my banner. There were black lines…read morewhich resembled scratch lines down my banner, image layers were not properly printed (layers missing) and some colours were drastically different (hot pinks were yellow!). In all fairness, they did try to get me to print a sample for my banner for something like $30 more. Since I failed to do that (I was working on a very tight deadline) I will take responsibility for the drastic colour differences. However, it is completely unacceptable to have random black lines (found no where in the print file) printed down your banner and blotchiness in colouring on the banner (areas that were lighter and darker for the same colour!). My other print product, a display board - the lettering was all fuzzy and not the least bit crisp. These were high resolution files that were made by an established graphic design company. I should mention, I printed both of these products at another print shop and the files printed perfectly. When I walked in that day to pick up my banner and display board they were printing a banner for another company and there was blotchiness in that banner too (for one solid red colour!), meaning they knew they had a problem with their printer but still continued to do print work despite this. I demanded a refund of my payment. They employee told me to contact a manager to discuss, so I did. A month and a half later (on Aug 29, 2014) after several calls and emails, an employee of the company (Sumei Lin) stated via email "If you still not happy what we offered to you, there is the final option, Full amount refund for banner $138.00 and 50% refund for your display board +GST." I accepted (as something was better than nothing, and they presumedly wanted to ensure their costs were covered, and by only refunding me 50% of the display board I am guessing that at least covered their costs). I assumed my refund had been processed as I was told it would be via email. When I got my credit card statement I realized they hadn't refunded it, and by then I had surpassed the time limits to report this charge to my credit card company. Several handful of emails and calls by that of myself and an employee of mine had been made to the company since Aug 2014 to get our refund as per their promise in email. They stalled me for months, telling me first the manager had a baby (who is managing in her place?), then they said they thought they refunded it but needed to call their credit card company to see if a refund had been processed. I told them no refund had been made to my credit card but they refused to listen to me. Finally, after 7 months, they only refunded part of what they promised (the banner). They did not refund half of the display board as promised. When I tried to get this 50% difference, all they did was ignore our calls and emails. The employee, Sumei Lin has been very disrespectful and rude, and told me "I am so annoying" multiple times. Who says that to a customer who is just seeking a refund that YOU promised? Of course a client is going to call and email multiple times if they have been kept waiting 7 months for their promised refund. In short, only do business with this company if you want a low quality print job. If you go against my advice and do it anyway, don't expect any level of customer service/a refund without wasting more time than it is worth to get one. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they didn't even respond to my complaint. Purchase Date: July 14, 2014 Items #1 (banner): $138 plus tax Item #2 (display board): $88 plus tax GST on items: $11.30 TOTAL: $237.30 ***I have only ever been refunded $138 to this date. I will work on finding the photos I took of the crappy banner and display board to post to this review at a later date.
