Getting the pleasant old-time feel of nostalgia! Popcorn needs more butter though. It was kind of dry.

Cool summer evening breeze, starlight, and fireflies... oh yeah! It was my first time experiencing a drive-in movie which was thrilling and quite retro. It's interesting to have two screens playing at once but, you are radio-dialed into the screen or movie you've paid to watch. What wasn't the most pleasant was not having the option to park closer to the movie screen due to having a "bigger" vehicle -- a Jeep wrangler. Overall, the experience was nice. read more

Let me be right up front: I'm a drive-in addict. I have been going to the drive-in since I was six years old. When I got my license, I kidnapped my friends in my dad's pickup truck and took them to the drive-in. Now that I'm a parent, I bring my kids when family friendly movies are showing. If I have the night off from work, I'm at the drive-in. The good: location. Close enough to a city to have ease of access, far enough down the road to avoid noise and light pollution. Clean: plenty of trash cans and clean-up crews to keep the lot tidy. Shows: the movies are new releases and organized. (One screen for adult fare, while the second screen for children's films.) Lot: the owners update something every year. (New screens last year) The Cantina: a fair-type stand behind the concession booth with treats like snow cones and funnel cakes. The bad: bathrooms. In desperate need of a complete overhaul. The second screen only has one port-a-potty, and that is ONLY unlocked during weekends. So if you have kids, you will have to traverse lot 2, lot 1, to get to the concession stand and it's bathrooms. Security: lax about making sure people turn off their car lights, keep their foot off the brake pedal, and don't block other people's view of the screen with their van trunk lids. My kids and I enjoy coming for events such as the Halloween trunk or treat. My daughter loves the blue icees, my boys love the kids' snack packs. Myself, I'm a funnel cake junkie. It's nice to be able to sit in my comfortable car, with a seat big enough for my backside, my own temperature and volume controls, and in my pajamas. Very laid back theatre with good movies, but a need to renovate. read more

We are only in area temporarily and needed something to do. We have a drive-in where I'm from that is wonderful so I guess I'm being a lil critical. This place is great for families. We went on a Monday night so they weren't busy. The concession stand was roomy and nice. The prices were pretty cheap getting in and for food. The downfall for me is parking. It's all gravel (I'm used to grass) They also have rules of where to park(certain size vehicles in certain spots) I get it but just odd to me. Lastly, person that takes the entrance money, is...not rude but not overly friendly. Over all, yes I would go again. read more

Super fun drive-in that we always hit up when camping at Maumee Bay SP. Nostalgia to the max. Well run, highly recommended.

This drive in is paradise for smokers and hell for those like me who can't stand smoke. The cars beside and in front of us had smokers and even when we changed parking spots, the cars on each side of us had smokers. And it wasn't just the occasional cigarette. People smoked throughout the entire movie. When our car would get warm and we'd open our car windows to get some air, we were engulfed with the stench and couldn't breathe. Besides this problem, the drive in was a nice way to see a movie. It's cheap and they show a double feature so you really get your money's worth. We saw World War Z (opening weekend) and Man of Steel. You don't have to get dressed up and a lot of people with SUV's parked with the back of the car facing the screen with the hatch open and laid out in the back of their car with blankets and pillows. The snacks are pretty cheap compared to movie theatre prices but service was really slow. We waited in line for an HOUR for nachos and drinks! You can bring your own food but have to pay a $5 fee. Small cars get to park in front and larger cars behind them. There are no speakers but you get excellent sound through your car radio. We had a nice time but I would not return unless it was cool weather so I could keep my windows closed to avoid the cigarette smoke. read more

Awesome place to catch two movies for a great price. Love the drive-in experience, big tub of buttered popcorn, candy, and a huge funnel cake and the big screen under the stars.. Ya can't beat it! I want to give an attaboy to the guy that was keeping the SUV's and trucks parked in the correct areas, he did an awesome job and was right on top of it. Not really sure how ppl don't know where to park since they tell you as you enter the drive-in. Only suggestion I'd make to the theater is maybe paint the poles in a reflective paint so ppl that come in later can see what areas are for their type of vehicle. Still a great place to go on a date or with the family. read more

One of the things I look forward to most as the weather warms up! I have been to Sundance Kid multiple times. Two movies for the price of one! In the comfort of your own car! And pretending like you live in the 60s--I love it. The biggest downside is that the view sucks for people in back seat, so that's a bummer. If your car happens to have a janky battery like my bf's, have no fear, the crew has a portable charger readily available upon request when your car decides to fail on you. I haven't ventured into the bathrooms to comment on its condition, but given the reviews on yelp, I'm not sure I am inclined to...though thumbs up for everything else. read more

The price to get in is always nice and cheap and even the snacks arent overpriced. The actual movie screens are in a way that it is always easy to see. My two complaints are that they dont often have kids movie options so its hard to go as a family, and they dont have the outside radios. You have to bring your own. read more

Absolutely the worst experience! Vehicles still coming in 30 minutes into the show. Been staring at headlights for 30 minutes. Our kids almost got hit by a car because apparently people think the speed limit is 25mph. Packed in like sardines. Can barely even see the screen. So glad I spent the money to bring my family of 6 here. Never again. read more

I love this place. Then again, I've always been a big fan of the drive-in theater since my high school days, where I'd grab a group of friends, a truck, and throw a mattress in the back for movie watching. Now, you have the opportunity to watch two movies for the price of one ($8.50 for adults), right in the comfort of your own car. Times have changed since my last drive-in experience; now you can tune in the movie with an FM channel, rather than detaching the speaker from a post and putting it in your car. It's very nice to just sit back, relax, and talk to the other person next to you (if you want). Not to mention, a great snack bar with very good kettle corn and very garlicy pickles. It was a little bit of a drive (as I got lost a few times), but totally worth it. I'll be back! read more

This place is great however they do not enforce car parking. SUVs and other large cars are supposed to go to the yellow poles, however they are not stopping people from parking in the white poles, which disrupts the view for others. please fix! read more

I have not been to a drive in movie since I was a kid. I actually think I was more excited than the kiddos. It does my heart good to see kids today enjoying such simple activities that seem long gone in today's society. The food was a great price especially considering what you pay at regular theaters. Two movies for a kids price of $3!!! Bring your blankets, fold up chairs and enjoy life outside. read more

I won't ever come here again! It use to be a summer tradition but never again! They are charging you an extra $5 fee to bring in outside food, I had a water bottle and they wanted me to dump it out or pay $5 the five dollars. We payed and settled in to watch our movie, about a quarter of the way through we heard raised voices, the people who worked the drive-in were coming around with flashlights checking peoples cars! They ruined the movie, and when we left there was garbage everywhere. You can not harass your customers! read more

Only complaint i have is the condition of the restrooms. They need scrubbed through the evening. But fun place

I frequently go to to Sun Dance every year. Been coming here since I was a teenager. I started out going to drive-ins as a kid and love them to this day! Can't get enough of food there! read more
