Our relationship with Suncrest Solar began on a high note, but is currently on a very low note. We had a 9.88 kW system installed, and everything is up and running well as far as we can tell, so the end product we purchased seems to be fine. The representative we worked with up front, Patrick, was great. The installers were great. Everyone we've worked with at their corporate office in Salt Lake City has been responsive and helpful. The problems we've experienced working with Suncrest relate to poor communications and customer service from their field representatives, and we often got conflicting answers, from different people at Suncrest, etc. Suncrest reps were not trained to explain the real nuts and bolts of how the net metering process with our local electrical provider would work. We were told we would not have monthly bills other than a $8 per month meter fee. This was completely wrong. I ultimately had to figure it out on my own by contacting the energy provider. Our system was designed to fully meet our electrical demand based upon past usage, so hopefully our net annual cost will, in fact, be zero. We'll see how it works out after one year. But, when you are investing $35,000+ in a solar system, the company you are working with should explain all of this clearly and accurately. Everyone I spoke to at Suncrest about this was clueless about how the process actually worked.     Patrick was taking very good care of us in the early phases, but before the system was installed Patrick left Suncrest. We were not informed about his departure. Over a period of three or four weeks, I sent Patrick emails, text messages and left voice mails, but all with no response. I eventually contacted Suncrest's home office in Salt Lake City and chased down the name of another area representative, Alex. I spoke with Alex a couple of times and he was responsive to our questions - but not once did he offer to stop by to introduce himself, even though he lives less than ten miles from us. I guess Patrick had spoiled us with the great personal attention he had give to us. This week, we heard from a representative of our energy provider that Suncrest Solar has pulled out of South Carolina, and is looking for a company to buy out their equipment and commitments to the systems they have installed in the state. I contacted Alex by email and phone. The email bounced back as being undeliverable (so Alex is already gone too), and he has not responded to my voice message. I spoke with a Suncrest rep in their home office who told me they would no longer be selling or installing systems in South Carolina, but that they would continue to service the systems they had already installed. When I asked if they were going out of business, he was very vague with his response. I asked why they had not informed their customers of this development, and he answered that they were working on a mass email message to do that. Bottom line: if I had it to do over again, I WOULD NEVER PURCHASE MY SYSTEM FROM SUNCREST SOLAR. All I know is that I paid them over $35,000 and feel that I can only hope now they will stand behind their work moving forward if there are any future problems. read more

Worst company to Deal with. I had previously wrote a review giving them 3 stars because I was without power for over 24 hours in the dead of summer now I have to give them 1. Id give them 1/2 if i could. We have had our panels on for a few months now and the whole we will pay you to refer someone is crap. You wont get your money. My husbands parents signed up through us and have had theirs on for several months now and we haven't seen our check. We called and they said they "show" that we have a referral coming but it never did. Now when you call back its an hour wait time and you leave messages and emails and NO ONE ever contacts you! Also after our panels were installed they had to schedule someone to come and install something in our house and told my husband someone needed to be home for it. Well the day came and went and no one showed and my husband took a whole day off work for nothing. He called and told them what happened and they said they would compensate us for hi missed wages from having to take off work. Well that Check never came either. So we called and again they see where the $200 wage reimbursement was approved but never got sent out. Well again no one called us back and we cant get through on the phones. So now they owe us $450 for a referral and the wages. Good luck getting any communication from this company. Oh and they took FOREVER turning our panels on so much so that we had to pay our electric bill and solar payment in the same month and they refused to compensate us for that even though they did it for my father. Now we have contacted our lawyer through our prepaid legal and let him deal with it. This company sucks! Oh and on top of all that our salesman Jason Smith at the time of pitching this to us he told us he would give us an extra $150 per referral. Well he up and quit and went to work for a company in Charleston called Palmetto Solar. So technically they owe us $600. Lets see what the BBB has to say about them read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN. Super disohonest salespeople and then try to lie to you on the phone when you have your contract right in front of you- I called one guy out on it and he hung up on me! I know I'm probably going to pay a lot to get out of this mess that I got into, but if I save one person from my troubles, it will be worth it. The State and Federal money they say you will get back isn't true and when you call them out on it, they talk around the truth. If you bring up what their salesman told you, they say that they're not Suncrest employees and are just contracted salesman- even though they have Suncrest business cards, emails, drive a Suncrest car, and are listed on the Suncrest website. Stay away from these guys- horrible dishonest business practices by their salesmand and a bunch of rude telephone operators that are condescending and talk to you like you're stupid. read more

Everything from the sales process to the phenomenal installation of my solar system was fantastic to say the least!! George, Thomas, Ricky, and Rudy were extremely kind and professional beyond my expectations. My sales rep was at the install and everything he said would be became a reality, which was refreshing to me and my wife. Very professional to say the least!!! All the questions I had were answered and they took our concerns to heart. I couldn't be happier to put my faith and business in the hands of Suncrest Solar. Thanks guys you rock!!! WOW! I am impressed! This installation crew from Suncrest Solar is at the top of their game. The installation went fast and its BEAUTIFUL. It looks rock solid and laid in perfectly. They did an excellent job cleaning up the construction area after they finished; something that is very uncommon for contractors. The crew Ricky, Ryan, Billy, and Matt have got to be the best of the best in the business. Suncrest Solar is very fortunate to have such professionals working for them. You never know what to expect when you have someone come out to install something. I have to tell you that we had the best team of guys come to our home & install our new solar panels on our roof.
