Be mindful because her vital signs were still good it was ok is what l was told. When l went the next morning to meet the undertaker my mother had a broken tooth. I know she suffered and was alone. Luckily the nursing home staff made up for the so called hospice" care" The only one who offered help and comfort was her aide. Who on her last vist walked my mom to the restroom washed my mom and dressed her to my moms wishes. I thank her and treasure her level of care. Only the chaplain reached out from "this" place to offer condolences.

Their social workers will contact family members with a lot of psychobabble. Not helpful. If you want to help a family member see if there is a way to have somebody check in during off hours when family cannot which includes the weekends that you were charging clients for while providing absolutely no service.

To be frank, she can be demanding, mean, uncooperative, combative, lacking any and all manners and just generally very egotistical. Some home health agencies just backed out the door halfway thru the interview and walked out because they refused to work with such an A-hole. However, we've been so blessed with the help of Marge, the RN caseworker and a SPECIAL shout out to Claudia, the physical therapist. She's SO good and can reason with my aunt and get her to understand why she must cooperate to get better. My aunt has a phobia of joint replacement (which needed to be done 20 years ago) so she's as stiff as a board and cannot bend at the waist. However - I've seen physical improvement in my aunt's walking in 2-3 visits! I could sing their praises all day. P.S. Rowan Geriatrics also has been really awesome with helping administer the tests so that we can get guardianship over my aunt bc she truly cannot care for herself, neither mentally nor physically.

Arden Courts of Cherry Hill did a fantastic job of taking care of my mother for a 4 years period…read morebetween 2019 and 2023. My mother had failed to adapt to another facility and Arden turned out to be the perfect place for her. During my time there I met many other families in similar situations where other facilities had been unable to "handle" their loved ones, but Arden always had the magic touch. From a day to day perspective the care was superb, the food was good and the activities were varied and covered a wide range of ability levels. Unlike other nearby "luxury" facilities, Arden focuses on what the residents actually need and not what looks nice to the families. The residents who are mobile have free run of the facility and access to outdoors weather permitting. Use of a resident's room are limited as much as possible to keep them engaged in social activities. The professional staff were all top notch, with the facility director and nursing staff worthy of particular praise for both their everyday professionalism and going above and beyond when needed. Also worthy of note is that Arden Courts avoids requiring costly additional 1-on-1 care and will only send residents to the hospital when absolutely necessary. If a resident does end up at the hospital, it is literally located across the street minimizing the need for transport. Arden Courts is currently under the umbrella of a non-profit so as far as I am aware there is no private equity firm behind the curtain pushing to drive down costs. The Cherry Hill facility in particular is also very supportive of family members with access to numerous eat in/cook out activities, parties and field trips. At the end of my mother's journey they offered ample time to wrap up her room and have an open door policy for said family members to return interact with any persons they may have bonded with. Arden Courts of Cherry Hill 5/5, 10/10, 100% would recommend to a friend or family.

She was so very happy there. From the Maintenance man Louis (who also loves and cares for the residents as family), to the aides, nurses, and administrators the care was phenomenal! I cant say enough about this beautiful place. We will miss them all so much!

We receive weekly status updates on staff and residents, and more if necessary. Although the pandemic has created anxiety and concern, our family is grateful everyday she lives there. We cannot imagine her living anywhere else. Now, our mother plays bingo, poker, attends happy hour, and is involved in most activities. All done with small groups, scheduled, distanced, with masks. They really have the personality and the empathy to give the patient and the family the support we need at that difficult moment. Both if them are an asset us this kind of facility. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience with Kim , the secretary and Giovanna, the nurse. We are 4 kids + my dad's sister, who flew all the way from Dominican Republic to be with my dad. Before we made the decision to transfer my dad to that location, we asked if the 5 of us will be able to be in the room with my dad, we asked David (our first contact) , we asked Lydia, the nurse that did my father's evaluation and we asked Christine, the Manager. They all told us that it would not be any problem. We all came on 9/19/2021 to visit my dad, and we got stop in a very aggressive and rude way by Kim and Giovanna, and another lady that was in the office. They said that only 4 people were allowed. We explained everything to them and they kept their bad attitude. Then, Kim said that unless the death was eminent , they have to keep the visitors down to 4. She was extremely aggressive and does not show any empathy to any of us. I called the main line, since Christine, the Manager, was not on and this very professional lady named Shardee showed compassion and gave us the support we needed at that time. She apologized and called Kim to let her know that the 5 of us were allowed in the room. Even though Kim thought that my father's death was not eminent, he died the next morning at 5:00 am. on 9/20/2021. There was definitely not need to put a family to that stress in such a difficult moment. Even after they knew that we were allowed in the room, they kept the attitude towards us. Thank God, Donaldo and George replaced them in the afternoon. 5 Stars to George, Donaldo, Christine, David and Lydia 0 Stars for Kim and Giovanna, they do not have the skills and personality to work in a place like Vitas
