At first, I really thought I was in with a great mortgage company with SNMC as a first time home…read morebuyer. My loan officer, Mike Goetz, was a pleasure to work with. However, my issues reside with communication from SNMC after my home purchase. I was told by Mike that I would make all my mortgage payments through PennyMac, so when I received the email from PennyMac I downloaded their App and entered my bank details, etc. so that I was all set for payments. I made every payment before the due date and was on track with PennyMac. Just an FYI, I've never made a late payment in my life. Well, 3 months later, I see my credit score dropped 155 points. Come to find out, I "missed" my first mortgage payment with Security National Mortgage! Who knew? Nobody ever told me I'd make any payments to them, I was told by Mike that all payments went through PennyMac. Apparently SNMC sent me "letters" in the mail at my new home address to inform me. I never received any letters from them. Not even a phone call or email to say "hey, it looks like we missed your 1st mortgage payment. What happened?" Nothing. Now, I'm fighting with the credit bureau to remove this dilenquent remark and get my credit score back. I made this outstanding payment last week, the same day I found out it was "missed". This is an opportunity for SNMC to reach out to customers via phonecall or email if a payment is missed. A letter in the mail isn't cutting it, especially when it was never put in my mail box to begin with. You should inform your customers they will make first payments to you, and after that they will be to PennyMac. After this experience, I will never use SNMC again.

They have ruined my house closing for the second time and no one takes the blame. I was there as the loan officer tried to call his bosses and they all sent him to voicemail and pointed fingers at a processor that just started there. You should all be ashamed. You have ruined my families dreams and the worst part is you don't care.

After we came in to sign the paperwork seems like things were turned upside down. Chris became unavailable yes it was due to training classes but when we told him many times we need to speak to him directly he couldn't take a few minutes before or after his training to give us a call. Inside he would text us or push us off on his team Toni or Anne. Through the process with the whole team we asked many times for them to explain something and we kept getting the same song and dance, even one time was told to stop worry everything would be fine. If everything was fine we would be seeing our closing costs going from $3,400's to $3,900 to $4,200 to $4,600 and finally to $5,200's at closing with no details why its increasing. This is my first home its my right to wonder and know the reason for the increase. We were also told that if you paid Debit or check for the Appraisal it would be credited back to you at closing, than weeks later we find that it would only be credited if there was seller credit left at the end. We were also told that the 2nd reappraisal would be collected at the closing and not to worry there is not extra money out of packet. Next time i look at my bank account I am now missing $175 for a reappraisal. My biggest issue about this was it was unauthorized I never gave Toni or Anne or anyone the okay to charge my account a 2nd time and I didn't even have a warning. When i brought this us to Toni it was just a sorry. When I brought this up to Chris he ended up pushing back to Toni instead of giving me a call to discuss this. Sorry but if one of my employees just broke the law i would make sure i call the person right away not text them. There were many other lies from Toni and Anne as well. Little things like saying an Appraisal was submit 1 day than find it wasn't submit until the following when we were trying to get the 3rd appraisal in so we might of had a chance to close on time. Little things like being told that FEMA and HUD just now released the lock for Appraisals than finding out from the same person later that same day it was released the day before. For these reason and many more I would never use Chris or his team again. I would not refer anyone to Chris. Yes the work was completed, Yes it was a week late, but when with a week extra we still found ourselves 30 minutes before closing searching for answers that we have been asking about for weeks.

The team is very professional, kind, and communicative. I looked forward to Tuesday tuneup with Tony. Kelly was extremely helpful and patient taking time to help us submit all of our forms and documents. Definitely a great team and I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!
