What can anyone say to a Dr.'s office that saves your life. Thank you, just doesn't seem to be enough. In September of 2013,I went to the Dermatology Clinic to check a "leaky" bump in the middle of my forehead. After testing and looking at it, Dr. Ronald Perrott determined I had stage4 skin Cancer in the middle of my forehead.He immediately got me in for MOHS surgery this type of cancer removal was actually done 4 times before he could come close to saying he removed all the cancerous tissue. My surgery was anything, but a typical Cancer. Dr. Perrott saw that and stayed late to do a procedure, saw me time and time again to remove the Cancer. He never blinked, he never was negative and he saw me through some really tough times. His staff are second to none. I have only had one bad experience at the front desk (she is gone now) and it was handled. The staff in front to the M.A.s, the R.N.'s and the P.A.'s I couldn't have felt more comfortable if I tried. Through it all the encouraged me, treated me like a Queen (they still do) and most of all saved my life. My scars are minimal and that in itself is a miracle. But that is Dr. Ronald Perrott, he is hope, light and love to all his patients. read more

i have been living in fl.now for 36 yrs. i was seeing a dermatologists for about 15 yrs.until he did not take my insurance anymore.i had a skin condition which never got better no matter how many visits or creams he gave me to try.moving forward i went to 2 more different dermatologist still they never helped me either.then one day i decided to go to suncoast skin solutions.so i called to make an appointment with the doctor but she was very busy & booked out till august.so i made an appointment with ellen toneff,pa.my first visit she was very professiona,curtious,gave me a head to toe exam. great job! she gave me the diagnosis & special ordered me a compound cream. i receive it in a few days from pa.starting using it & had remarkable results immediately. i told my friend about ellen toneff pa & she made an appointment also with her.i can not say enough about her but i will end this by saying i highly recommend ellen toneff pa to anyone who needs a goo dermatologist. read more

Had my 6 month skin check yesterday. As usual great experience. Prior to my appointment, I was sent an email to confirm and pre-register. Online link took a few minutes and allowed me to provide updated ID and insurance. That sped things up at arrival. I arrived and went to the window to let them know I'm here. Waiting room was busy, so I did have a short wait, but only a few minutes. I'd rather wait a few minutes here knowing that the team will take the time necessary during the exam. After a bit, Brianna called me back and walked me to the exam room. Asked a few questions about any areas of concern, then left to get Ellen while I undressed and put on the gown. A few minutes later, Brianna returned with Ellen for the exam. As usual, Ellen did a thorough exam and explained any areas she was looking at. No areas of concern again. I recently had a skin cancer removed by Dr. Perrott, and I was so happy with not only the results of the surgery but also my personal experience at the office. The staff was very nice, helpful and answered all of my questions truly putting my mind at ease. Following this surgery, I also had laser done by Jennifer Hickman ARNP, and I must say I am so happy with the results. After one treatment the majority of my brown spots were gone. The one treatment surpassed my expectations. I have since had one more treatment and am so thrilled I decided to go ahead with the laser. Jennifer explained the procedure, possibly reactions and gave me realistic expectations. I am so happy I found this practice. I was so happy, I recommended my friends and family as well! My 95 yr old mother developed a growth on her face & her primary care doctor referred her to Suncoast Skin Solutions. Dr Ellen Toneff did a biopsy which turned out to be a squamous carcinoma. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the entire operation treated my Mom with compassion & tenderness. The front office was efficient with paperwork, the both the doctor and her medical assistant were quite professional, knowledgeable & answered my questions with understanding. The biopsy results came in earlier than expected & surgery is scheduled for next month, giving my Mom an excellent chance of recovery. The only negative is the office is hard to find, so allow extra time getting there. read more

This issue the third time they discovered a small ( best time to find them) lesion with bad potential and took it off using the Mohs technique. The surgery is done in stages, including lab work, while you wait. This allows the removal of all cancerous cells for the highest cure rate while sparing healthy tissue and leaving the smallest possible scar. One of my scars is not even visible, the DR did it near a crease, it's a no show, on my forehead. The staff is incredible though very busy and everyone gets treated the same with professionalism, smiles and lidocaine, very thorough, nice work and the atmosphere creates a confidence and you need not worry you are in good hands. From the excellent staff that greeted me and took my information, to the very friendly and professional nurse (Audry) who prepped me before meeting Dr. Ellen Toneff who was very attentive to me and explained in detail what my symptoms were and what medication she would prescribe for me to deal with my skin rash. Although I never like going to see any of my doctors - not because i don't like them, but because it usually means that I have a health issue - I must say that they made my visit to Suncoast Skin Solutions a nice one! I am new to the area and in need of a dermatologist so I called to inquire about getting a few things removed. I spoke to the lady at reception named Kat and was very impressed! I have had some bad experiences back up North in the past with dermatologists and therefore had a lot of questions on how they handle patient care, along with questions about different procedures and prices. Kat answered all of my questions in detail and was very professional. She made a great first impression and I feel very comfortable about making my appointment. I have had dermatology treatments for over 30 years since I am fair skinned and skin cancer prone. I have been treated at 4 other dermatology centers. I will need dermatology treatments for a long time and need to feel comfortable in whatever office I choose. My care at Suncoast Skin Solutions from Dr. Ronald Perrott, Dr. P, has been the best! He is very thorough while also being very personable. I have had several Mohs surgeries and my scarring is minimal! All of the staff are friendly and efficient. I had a very good experience at this office. The office staff were courteous and caring. They are taking your temperature upon arrival to screen for a fever as Covid precaution. I was in a room and seen by the PA with no waiting. Jennifer, the PA, was knowledgeable and caring. We discussed the treatment options for the cyst on my back and had it treated within minutes and i was on my way out of the office. The office staff were efficient and kind as well. I am unsure of all these negative reviews on this facility. I have been a long term patient here and it was frustrating with the turnover over of providers I have seen the PA Jillian Clavenna several times now and am impressed by her thorough treatment and exams with myself, husband and children. She found a very small melanoma on my husbands back and treated my children's acne very thoughtfully and considerate to our wishes and price constraints. The staff is courtesy and kind in offering their advice as well. Audrey is the best! The two of them make a very comfortable visit. read more

I had two spots on my lower right leg. After having surgical removal on other sights , I wanted to make sure these were taken care of as soon as possible. I called on a Wednesday and had an appointment on Thursday. Ms Ellen was fast and she said this was not serious. She froze the spots and everything was fine. Dr. Ellen Toneff is a brilliant doctor and a joy to see at my 6 month checkups. Her sharp eye has caught several basil cell carcinomas in their early stages and I was able to get them biopsied and removed right there in the office. I live out at Saint Pete Beach. If you knew how many dermatologist I would drive past to visit this group you would be amazed. Just the fact that I pass so many should tell you something about how I feel about Suncoast. They're very patient. They do not rush you. I waited maybe five minutes to get in.
