Very upset with my experience with doctor not being accommodating to an injury/disability. I have…read moremultiple injuries and nerve damage to where I am unable to lift my right leg along with a back injury of herniated discs and a mass in my spine and use a cane and wheelchair. I am newly disabled and called and asked if they can accommodate me during my appointment that I right now wouldn't be able to get on the table and in stir-ups but need to renew my prescription . Staff said Dr. Kero would not be able to accommodate me for my appointment and even asked me how I get around then. I'm very disappointed and upset .

I had the extreme misfortune of having to use Dr Kero to get a full hysterectomy on May 5th, 2025…read more I had to have a 8cm cyst removed from my left ovary. I'm not from Spring Hill, but I'm here for personal reasons and I believed I could recover here with my sister rather than by myself in Gainesville. She never explained what would happen before the surgery and the only information I got was online and asking her questions; she never went over the process once. The day of surgery, they told me I would be able to speak with her again, but all she did was pull the curtain back in pre-op, look at me, and close the curtain. The first day after surgery, I was in extreme pain and the only thing she wanted to give me for pain was one (1) 50mg tramadol every 6 hours and that was to be for the entirety of my recovery process. My four-day stay at Oak Hill Hospital was pure hell. I had to BEG for something more for pain. She did give me two (2) doses of morphine in my IV, which has been listed in my files for 10+ years that I have a horrible reaction to. I get extremely nauseous to the point of vomiting and an almost immediate migraine. The nurses brought the morphine in and I told them I couldn't take that. They told me that Dr Kero told them that "all it does is make her nauseous, take it or leave it". So I had to take it, along with Zofran for the nausea and a long white tube to vomit in. I had to beg for something for my migraine which set in within 5 minutes and they gave me Fioricet. So I lay there not only in extreme pain, but fighting the urge to vomit and a migraine as well. She did that to me TWICE. I lost the use of my left leg as well and could not urinate so I had to use a catheter. I cannot tell you the overall pain I was in. She didn't believe me when I said I was drinking enough water to urinate and ordered IV fluids, but the nurses told her I was drinking more than enough water to urinate. I was trying my best to use the walker, but I couldn't even drag my left leg out of the bed, much less to use the walker. She didn't believe that either until physical therapy told her I was indeed trying. I was only supposed to be there 3 days, but because I couldn't use my left leg and I had a Foley catheter in, and I wasn't getting anything close to what I needed to control my pain, I stayed a fourth day. At the end of the 4th day, a urologist from the hospital came in my room to talk to me. Dr Kero stood at the door blocking his way in and he stated he was there to talk to me. She literally pushed him out of the room and he came back in 3-4 minutes later and echoed exactly what Dr Kero had said earlier. I had asked for a patient advocate every single day, several times a day since the first day I got out of surgery, but no one ever came. Finally, after all of this, two women showed up from administration and told me they had no such thing as a patient advocate, but they had a charge nurse and that was all. They then told me that Dr Kero had discharged me from the hospital and if I wanted to stay "your insurance will not cover that and that will be a very expensive bill for you." So I was basically kicked out of the hospital. Dr Kero gave me 16 - 50mg tramadol for pain when I left. That's it. For a surgery in which she took my uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, an 8cm cyst, and closed this 5 3/4" vertical incision with staples. I'll attach a picture because even though I'm 61 years old and not a bikini model, you would think she could have made a straight line below my belly button and not a raggedy line 1/2" to the right. I've worked in the medical field for more than 20 years in and out of Shands and Dr Kero could NEVER work at a reputable hospital like that. I don't mean to offend those who like Oak Hill, but she is a horrible doctor and can only practice at some small place like that and behave the way she does and get away with it. I spoke to EVERY SINGLE PERSON I came in contact with from the time I started the check-in process days before until I was wheeled out of there and every person who knew her, couldn't stand her. There were only a couple of people in the dozens I spoke with who had no opinion and that's because they didn't know her. She is notorious for not giving pain meds. You cannot expect a patient to concentrate on getting better if they're in so much pain they're crying and begging for relief. She is cold as ice and has the personality of dead grass. I would give anything if I had known all of this before I signed up for this exercise in torture. If you love yourself, don't go to her. If you love a woman you know, stop her from going there. This is what happened to me and I have receipts, no matter how much she wants to "doctor up" her notes. This is also my opinion of her, which I have every right to have.
