A little pissed off. I think it's justified, you tell me? I rented a wood chipper from Sunbelt (bandit 65) once again for the day. $350 for the day and ran it all day. Between 1/3 and 3/4 of the day being time accurate, everything green would eventually not feed through. Causing me to reverse it with every single Branch I put through and pull the green limbs out. Otherwise the next branch fed through would proceed to get stuck. I showed the videos so the staff could see I wasn't making things up as I'm sure, some do. What I got back was "I see there's a lot of hours put on the machine.", Yes! Because I was trying to finish the job regardless of the machine's malfunction. Second word I got "Oh somebody should have told you it won't chip up small green things." Which in fact it did chip up small green things 2/3 of the day which IS in fact what it's supposed to do. You shouldn't have to reverse it every single branch and pull backwards to get ONE limb out thus a wrenched back, my current situation. Also "Did you call us." No not when it's 5:00 pm and I'm working til' dark. Basically this is pencil pusher bull from someone that's never stood behind a machine. Lastly when I came in yesterday morning to pick it up. Because someone had a "safety meeting" They said no exceptions to brake lights on the towed whatever you're picking up. I have a four-way plug on my truck. They have 7 blade connectors on all things towed. They said, "we won't be able to let you leave if we can't find a connector." How about after that "safety meeting" we get some converter plugs and know where they are since there's a lot of people still running four ways??? Bottom line they're going to get their money regardless of malfunctioning equipment everything is classified as an operator error period. read more
