"Father of Modern China" seems like a great title to have on your resumé and LinkedIn profile.
Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925) is widely revered as the "Father of Modern China" for his pivotal role in overthrowing the Qing Dynasty, ending thousands of years of imperial rule and founding the Republic of China. He is honored by both the Republic of China (Taiwan) as the "Father of the Nation" and the People's Republic of China (mainland) as the "Forerunner of the Revolution".
Tucked into Chinatown, the Sun Yat-sen statue honors Sun Yat-sen. Physician, revolutionary, and the founding father of modern China.
Casual resumé.
What makes this one especially cool is that Sun Yat-sen actually spent part of his youth in Hawai'i and studied in Honolulu long before helping overthrow the Qing dynasty and founding the Republic of China.
