The only place to find all of your Asian ingredients! Even though it's located in the only official Chinatown in Belgium, you can find ingredients for any Asian cuisine - Japanese (2nd floor), Indonesian (back right), Indian (back left), etc. I think they supply for a lot of restaurants because you can buy huge portions for low prices! I like to come once a month and stock up on rice, noodles, soy sauce, sriracha, sambal, etc. which I can purchase for a fraction of the price sold in a regular supermarket. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you're looking for specific special ingredients - everyone is really friendly! But a friendly warning - be prepared for the smell :) read more

If you've ever stood in the tiny overpriced "Asian"ish section of a European grocery store and wanted to cry, come here. Reasonably priced sauces, rice (in the grain size I prefer! In bulk! Unheard of!) and rice products (wrappers, noodles, flour), dried beans, "exotic" juices, etc. . . The only reason this review is lacking a star is the produce section. I don't even understand why they have one - every time I've gone there's been a stench of rotting vegetation and visible mold on every other product. It's only a small part of the entire store, but it's extremely off putting. read more

Was there just today - at the checkout the cashier asked me for my bag, I thought she was being helpful and was going to put my items in for me. But no.....she wanted to check to see if I had stolen anything !!!! Have never been treated like this before anywhere, and am disappointed with myself for completing the purchase. A fantastic range of stuff available here but frankly, they can stick it where the sun don't shine. read more

My mother is Filipino an lives in LA. When I left America, I thought, I hope Europe has my FOOD!! YESSSS !! I found it ALL at Sun Wah!! They prices are fabulous and that have it all, including a HUGE selection of asian spices and , on of my faves, Instant noodles!! mmmm!! Wide variety of snacks and drinks!! Having 100% Asian/Pacific heritage, I just have to have several assortment of Asian authentic ingredients easily accessible, like fresh Filipino vegetables. Kang-kong (water spinach), ampalaya (bitter melon), Thai basil, Korean kimchi, Japanese sesame salad dressing, etc....Finally! After living 7 months in Belgium, I found a grocery store to accommodate my Asian tummy!!! The location is wonderful. Its not far from the highway and not difficult to/from access. Parking garage is closely located, actually as you step out (from the parking garage) its probably less than 20 steps to the the grocery store. The products are arranged by their ethnicity origin. Quite easy to find the products I needed. The Korean/Japanese floor was the grand! The smell of the store was not strong (when I came out the store, I did not smell the "Asian food" odor stuck on my clothes nor hair). The prices were fairly less than the store I had frequented in Belgium (not in Antwerp). The stocker (two Filipina ladies) and Cashier (I think she was of Chinese descent) spoke English very well and VERY FRIENDLY! I will be back and will recommend to my local Belgium friends. read more
