Rather than contact me to ask how I wanted to handle the issue, he called the gas company and had the gas at the house shut off. If he had a legitimate safety concern, I can even understand contacting the gas company, but I would have absolutely expected a courtesy contact and explanation. It took me two days to figure out what happened in interactions with the gas company. Overall, then entire experience was a disaster that could have been avoided if this jerk had just made a phone call.
