I went to get a sunless tan on Saturday and asked specifically for the darkest shade.. I bought the buy one get one free spray tan deal and I was asked if I would like the extra spray on my legs and I said YES. I went into the spray tan room. I did not receive the extra pass over my legs. Also the next day I noticed my tan was definitely not the darkest shade more like light or medium. Very disappointed. Tried calling the salon but goes straight to a recording where they make you wait forever and never was able to get through to a human. read more

I had horrible service here, I will never come back. I was sold a package in March that included 3 spray tans and a primer bottle and and after tan bottle. Because I don't tan often I wanted to save those tans for special occasions. I came in to get a tan before vacation and I was told they expired, however I was never told an expiration date. After a little discussion we asked for the manager. Allie, the manager, was beyond nasty. She raised her voice and without saying it, accused me of lying and said there was nothing she could do to help. Because of Allie alone, I will not be returning to the store. FYI, I went to another store close by, and not only did they take care of it but they were beyond kind and did way more than expected. read more

I have always used Sun Tan City because they have one of the best spray tan solutions. Unfortunately I will NEVER return to this salon. Slowest line ever. Stood waiting for seriously 15 minutes just to get to the counter and sat waiting for another 10 minutes for my bed to be cleaned while BOTH workers tried to sell lotions to no end. I'm a sales rep, I understand pushing product ... but when you have 6 people standing in line while you try to meet your quota ... you will run out of customers to try your sales tactics on. Take care of the monthly costumer paying 59 a month before you worry about hopefully selling that 9 dollar packet of tanning lotion. My service will no longer be at this location. County line is the only salon that will get my service. read more

I've always had exceptional service and they are even friendly if you don't want an up sell on lotion. Bradley is the best guy to see at this location. Ask for him and he will give you a thorough tour of the place and makes it simple. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Overpriced. Bad facility. Obviously under renovation or something because trim is missing around walls, etc. Dents in many of the beds. No pillows in the the beds for your head or neck -only these weird hard plastic things that have an indent where your head is supposed to rest -talk about uncomfortable. Fans in beds are terrible, doesn't feel like any fan is on at all. Staff is pretty young and preoccupied to deal with customers. read more

Been going to this location for many years, even before it was Sun Tan City. Tonight was the worse experience I've ever had. Waited an hour to do a spray tan. When I mentioned the busyness to the clerk, she got very smart mouthed about it. It's one thing to have to wait and hour, but to add a smart mouthed clerk on top of that was beyond rude and unnecessary. I'll be looking for another salon. - Local Client read more

When I'm in a pinch and need a sunless tan rather quickly, I go to Sun Tan City. The sunless tans themselves have always been great. However, the customer service at this location is outrageously horrendous. I walked in to receive a spray tan about 10 minutes after the store opened, and was greeted by a woman who I assume was some sort of manager, whether the GM or assistant, because she was the only employee there at the time. I told her I would like a medium sunless with hydration. She asked if I had a membership, to which I said no. She then proceeded to tell me how much money I was spending on single sessions and walked around from behind the counter to talk to me about membership packages. I'm totally praising her for that sales tactic by the way, of stepping around from behind the counter. That's the first step in a great sale. She then explained the $20 a month sunless package to me, to which I said no. I told her I only come in once, maybe twice a year, and that I prefer to just pay for single sessions rather than have a membership for sunless tans that I will never use. She then proceeded to tell me how much of a mistake that I was making by doing that. I told her that I was in a little bit of a hurry at the moment, considering I had an appointment about 30 minutes after that. She then responded with, "I understand you're in a hurry, as most of our clients are," .... then she proceeded into her sales pitch again trying to get me to buy a membership. I finally had to use a firm, "No." She then put a snarky look on her face, retreated behind the counter, and was extremely rude to me throughout the rest of our transaction. I told her exactly what I wanted and that I'd like to do the bundle, to which she quipped, "Well you're still going to pay more to do that, you know that right?" Because of that reaction, I was so close to walking out. I said, "Yes, I know and I'm fine with that." She completed the transaction and as I was walking away towards the bed, I heard her say a rather vulgar thing about me to her friend who was in line behind me. I cannot fathom why a franchise would accept that sort of customer treatment from a person who's supposed to be the leader of a store location. There's a difference between trying to make a good sale and rudely trying to force one down someone's throat, after the customer has told you no multiple times. Either way, the establishment is getting my money, which is the ultimate goal in business. There is absolutely no need to be rude to a customer after they tell you no on a membership. After hearing multiple stories similar to mine occurring over the past few months at the same location, I can say that I will no longer be doing business there. A change in customer service, starting from the top tier of employees, is desperately needed at this location. read more

Being a disabled Veteran and single father, I am on a strict budget and was paying the 65.00 monthly fee. I was told that when I wanted to end my payments that all I had to do was go into the store and inform them that I would no longer be tanning. On June 4th I visited the store and told them that I was no longer going to be blue to afford to tan because of some unexpected medical bills. I was told to come in at the end of the month to let them know for certain I was canceling. I went back into the store around the 26th of June and gave them my official notice of cancellation, they told me they were sorry to see me go and asked if I would like to just freeze my month to month membership. I told them that was not an option because I would be moving and I would not be close to one of their facilities. Two months later they are still taking the money out of my account. I informed them that they were still taking the money out of my account and asked if they could please put the money back in my account. The lady said that they do not give refunds but they could give me 140.00 store credit. I told them again that was unacceptable at which point they placed me on hold for 22 minutes. When she finally came back on the phone I was told that they would be willing to refund half of my money and give me the other half in store credit. Again I told them that this was unacceptable. I hope people think twice before allowing Sun Tan City to automatically charge their accounts. I am very upset that I have to even award them a single star, they are thieves and liars and do not deserve it. Very disappointed with their company. There are plenty of Tanning salons out there and I would recommend avoiding Sun Tan City. read more
