Upon Googling/shopping around for professional beach photography for a family vacation, Shore Shooters stood out not only in comparison to others in the area (pricing, packages, photoshoot details, etc.) but also by their fantastic work!! - Their galleries/blogs speak for themselves! The whole process from booking to receiving the full online gallery was SO simple and straight forward!...which is especially appreciated and relieving when completing at a distance, 6 months in advance! The Process (lots of details, I know...but maybe it will save you some research!): ~ Booking is done completely online - I never had to make a phone call or wait for an email response. They provide an opportunity for you to share details regarding dynamics of your group, address of your location (so they can meet you there - how amazing!!), and a list of all the available dates/times to choose from. Once you submit that information, you are emailed a confirmation with your specific photographer's name so you know who you will be working with when the day arrives. ~ Leading up to the day of our photo session, I received an email 2 days in advance as a reminder of the session date/time and a message stating that our photographer would reach out to me directly 24 hours from our session time. Madalane reached out to me via text (which was super helpful vs. a phone call, as we were busy enjoying the beach and gave me a little grace in response time!), and was very professional but oh so personable in her communication! ~ The actual photo session was smooth-sailing and a lot of fun!! Madalane was a rockstar in ensuring there was no funny-business happening in the background of shots and was not scared to get dirty in the sand to capture the best angles!! She was on top of fly-away hairs and sand-buried feet to ensure everyone was looking their best!! She was truly amazing and so sweet!!...and not to mention, super efficient and made a lot happen with our group of 10 in approx. 45 minutes! ~ Fast-forward a whole 50.1 hours, and I had the complete online gallery in my e-mail inbox ready to go!! **Note: Our session was on a Thursday evening at 7pm in the middle of June...no way did we expect our picture gallery until the middle of the following week!! (especially during what I am sure is prime time for Shore Shooters!) This turnaround is so impressive and SO appreciated!! The gallery is super easy to access and share with others via the link they directly provide in the email message. The Product: ~ WOW. Every single photo in the gallery is AmAzInG! These will be pictures we truly cherish forever!! A gallery of 135 photos to choose from is nearly impossible when they are all so well done! ~ The gallery is super easy to figure out/navigate when attempting to download to a mobile phone, computer, Google Photos, etc. OVERALL: I will definitely ALWAYS recommend Shore Shooters Beach Photography to anyone/everyone looking for professional photography in any of the locations they serve!! Committing to booking and making such an investment can be stressful with all the things to consider, but I promise you cannot go wrong with this group!! I had to ask my friend at her wedding as to who the photographer was behind all these beautiful pictures because I was just beyond in love with what I saw. Lacey is amazing at what she does. If I could describe her photo style in few words, following words would come up to my mind; Candid, Natural, Just literally pretty and pure at its finest. Her style is not what you usually observe from other photographers who do portraits. She has a very artistic approach to her work, which I loved. I honestly had a horrible day on the shoot day; the lady who was in charge of my styling took forever and sadly I arrived at the meet up location late. As a person who takes punctuality very seriously, I felt extremely bad so I did what I could do at least at the moment - Keeping Lacey updated via text. It was such a relief from my end that Lacey was so cool about it; it was very professional and understanding gesture of her. Due to this styling disaster and punctuality issue, I had an anxiety attack that day yet Lacey's suggestion and guidance made me feel a lot better. By the end of the shoot, I was back to normal (haha). I was indeed scared when I received the email from her saying that the photos were ready because I thought it was gonna be a disaster but hey! the final products were surprisingly pretty! And I give all the credit to Lacey so thank you so so so much. For those of who are scared of the shoot because you have never done it before, book with Lacey! Her prices are high, her service is shit, only half of the photos were usable and the other half were missing some really major moments- not a single bridal or groom solo!!! Arrived 30 minutes late to the reception and the entrace included fireworks and she said "someone should have told me"- I told you by telling you what time to arrive like WHAT?? Zero outreach, communication was always from me, she canceled our engagement photo session after we had already booked tickets and hotels and scheduled all of our other wedding appointments around since we were flying in from California- zero attempts to reschedule, zero apologies, zero engagement photos for the wedding. I mean there was no lack of trying to blame everything on us- we are across the country! Every single shot her second shooter took had to be tossed. They were so embarrassing and beyond amateur. You will see her best work on her site so I will add some of the ones she doesn't show you later on if I can bring myself to. The few pictures we got from Lacey that we liked were great! But there was so many mis-steps, the worst communication and just a terrible overall experience. Please do not hesitate to contact me I could go on and on but every time I think about this experience it truly upsets me to the extent that we still have never printed a wedding book because we don't have enough photos to fill in the story- not a single food photo, no photos of our lovely center pieces, no bridesmaids dresses, we arranged a lovely gift bag for all the guests I wanted photographed but the shitty second shooter got her hands on those so total moot, she was also in charge of the groom/groomsman getting ready so no suit photos.... take my word for it there are sooooooo many great photographers out there and I thought I had done my due diligence so when I had red flags I kept ignoring them but I should have canceled her the moment she nonchalantly canceled out engagement shoot.
