I have waited 2 years to write this review and for 2 years I felt really guilty about all the bride to be's out there wasting their money and booking Lacey as their photographer for one of the most special days of their life and having her as their photographer. Her prices are high, her service is shit, only half of the photos were usable and the other half were missing some really major moments- not a single bridal or groom solo!!! Arrived 30 minutes late to the reception and the entrace included fireworks and she said "someone should have told me"- I told you by telling you what time to arrive like WHAT?? Zero outreach, communication was always from me, she canceled our engagement photo session after we had already booked tickets and hotels and scheduled all of our other wedding appointments around since we were flying in from California- zero attempts to reschedule, zero apologies, zero engagement photos for the wedding. I mean there was no lack of trying to blame everything on us- we are across the country! Every single shot her second shooter took had to be tossed. They were so embarrassing and beyond amateur. You will see her best work on her site so I will add some of the ones she doesn't show you later on if I can bring myself to. The few pictures we got from Lacey that we liked were great! But there was so many mis-steps, the worst communication and just a terrible overall experience. Please do not hesitate to contact me I could go on and on but every time I think about this experience it truly upsets me to the extent that we still have never printed a wedding book because we don't have enough photos to fill in the story- not a single food photo, no photos of our lovely center pieces, no bridesmaids dresses, we arranged a lovely gift bag for all the guests I wanted photographed but the shitty second shooter got her hands on those so total moot, she was also in charge of the groom/groomsman getting ready so no suit photos.... take my word for it there are sooooooo many great photographers out there and I thought I had done my due diligence so when I had red flags I kept ignoring them but I should have canceled her the moment she nonchalantly canceled out engagement shoot. read more

My husband and I stumbled upon Lacey by luck! Not knowing about her work beforehand, we had actually hired another photographer to cover our Sonoma, CA wedding. She brought Lacey as her associate/assistant photographer for the day. How lucky were we to have 2 great photographers?! I'm not quite positive which specific images were edited by which photographer, but Lacey posted one image on her Instagram account, and I absolutely loved it - the colors, light, the moment - just perfect. (I'm sure that specific photo had to be her editing). Overall, Lacey's sweet and calm demeanor kept me at ease on the day of the wedding; she was a pleasure to communicate with afterwards; and the photos are just beautiful and captured the spirit of the best day of our lives. We'll be sure to reach out for those maternity, baby, and family portraits in the future! NOLA is lucky to have you, Lacey, but we hope you'll maintain your business on the west coast when you're in SF :) read more

Where can I even start with this young lady... I got to know about Lacey through a friend of mine who got all her wedding pictures done from Lacey. I had to ask my friend at her wedding as to who the photographer was behind all these beautiful pictures because I was just beyond in love with what I saw. Lacey is amazing at what she does. If I could describe her photo style in few words, following words would come up to my mind; Candid, Natural, Just literally pretty and pure at its finest. Her style is not what you usually observe from other photographers who do portraits. She has a very artistic approach to her work, which I loved. I honestly had a horrible day on the shoot day; the lady who was in charge of my styling took forever and sadly I arrived at the meet up location late. As a person who takes punctuality very seriously, I felt extremely bad so I did what I could do at least at the moment - Keeping Lacey updated via text. It was such a relief from my end that Lacey was so cool about it; it was very professional and understanding gesture of her. Due to this styling disaster and punctuality issue, I had an anxiety attack that day yet Lacey's suggestion and guidance made me feel a lot better. By the end of the shoot, I was back to normal (haha). I was indeed scared when I received the email from her saying that the photos were ready because I thought it was gonna be a disaster but hey! the final products were surprisingly pretty! And I give all the credit to Lacey so thank you so so so much. For those of who are scared of the shoot because you have never done it before, book with Lacey! She literally tells you how to pose and what to do! Worth every penny. P.s: Just a little tip from myself; If you are planning on booking with Lacey, do it NOW because this talented lady is booked up all the time. Does not tell you enough as to how good she is? ;) read more

Lacey is awesome! She helped my fiancé plan a surprise photo shoot/proposal. She worked with him through email for about three months. She did a great job at keeping it a secret while taking pictures before he popped the question. We were both very comfortable around her too. Our families and friends love our photos. We highly recommend! read more

We had the pleasure of working with Lacey for our wedding in New Orleans in October 2017. She promptly arrived right at the scheduled time, worked closely with our wedding planner, and brought some calming and creative energy to our day. Lacey had fantastic suggestions for our pre-wedding photo shoot. She also was extremely patient and gracious with our somewhat crazy family members during the family shoot. She captured us and our guests perfectly, and provided a wealth of detail photos so we could remember every second of the day. After our wedding, Lacey followed up with preview photos and kept in touch as she worked on finalizing the rest of our photos. She provided us with an easy-to-download album of 500 beautiful photos. All of them true to life and with some great candid moments. I highly recommend Lacey for any event. She is a true professional and a pleasure to work with. read more

Don't let her soft demeanor fool you. Lacey is a serious photographer! My husband and I recently spent 7 days in New Orleans to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We hadn't had professional pictures taken since then and called several in the NOLA area. After several of them flaking or wanting to charge us the same price as a full wedding, we (fortunate for us) came across Lacey. She happened to be available on the day of our anniversary and said she'd be happy to do a session for us. We decided we wanted to take photos in one of the oldest cemeteries in the city and she was excited to do so. Come to find out, she'd wanted to do photos there since she'd moved to NOLA from San Francisco and was excited to take the project on. From the moment we met her, we felt perfectly at ease. It was a chilly day, even for New Orleans in March, but she was a trooper, giving no indication that the cold or the biting wind made one bit of difference. She was open to our suggestions about little corners of the cemetery that would make good photos as well as directed us on poses and backdrops. After the cemetery, we wandered the streets in the neighborhood, finding lots of other great little spots for photos. From start to finish, Lacey was nothing but professional and easy going. Leaving from our session that day, I decided I'd be happy if we got 10 good pictures. It was so cold that day, I wasn't sure if we'd look as cold as we were in the photos. When I finally got the pictures from her (after only a WEEK!), I was ecstatic. Lacey is truly an artist with a fantastic eye for photography. I still don't know how she managed to capture so many wonderful images. She balanced close-ups with wider angles in a way that perfectly captured and commemorated that moment in our lives. I highly recommend Lacey for all your photography needs. She's a pro and one of the sweetest people I've met! Thank you, Lacey, for capturing such a special moment in our life. read more

Lacey is amazing! My husband and I traveled to New Orleans for our 1-year anniversary and decided to take professional pictures to really capture our moment. Lacey is very skilled at making you feel at ease and comfortable in front of the camera, but beyond that she is the sweetest! She walked with us through French Quarter and strategically took pictures in front of beautiful buildings that illustrated New Orleans' true essence but also worked well with our outfits . She is incredibly talented - this is easily seen in her photography style, as I believe she creates beautiful natural compositions with a keen eye for detail. I couldn't be happier with all our pictures! read more

I was visiting my parents in Mobile Al from NYC and wanted to get some family pictures done with my almost 3 month old baby. I saw Lacey's work and liked it so I reached out to her via email. At first she took awhile to respond to my email and then she just stopped responding. Maybe she didn't need or want me as her client. But she should have at least said something rather than not responding at all. Plus when she initially replied she couldn't even recommend any local places to have the shoot. Very disappointed. read more

After checking out her work online, I made an appointment with Lacey to do my daughter's senior photos. She is a very talented photographer, and did a great job at making my daughter feel comfortable and have fun during the session. She took the time to take a variety of poses and angles, and was friendly and professional. I can't recommend her enough. She was worth our 7 hour round trip drive to get those portraits on the beach. Update: received our images and they are absolutely stunning! Lacey did a magnificent job of capturing expressions and the beauty of the scenery as well. I would give her 10 stars if Yelp let me. read more

My then girlfriend and I were visiting New Orleans, and I had planned a huge surprise engagement (over 20 of our friends and family flew in for the surprise). Planning anything remotely, let alone a big surprise engagement, is always a challenge. Yet Lacey could not have been more helpful and accommodating. She helped pick/scout locations for the big moment and was there for any questions every step of the way, and I had a bunch! She even came to the surprise party after to capture those amazing candid moments as well. Of course, this is all to go on top of her exceptional product! Her shots around the French Quarter were amazing. Her ability to see certain backgrounds and pair them with a certain pose or angle was fantastic! The photos are actually stunning! Moreover, her rates were more than reasonable. Could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. Don't look anywhere else!! read more

I found Lacey through her stellar Yelp reviews and can vouch that they are absolutely true! :) I was looking for a professional "updated senior portrait" for grad school graduation, and Lacey did an amazing job. I often feel awkward in front of a camera, but Lacey is so calm and sweet - and professional! - that I immediately felt at ease. She provided great direction but also captured authentic portraits that look genuine and natural rather than forced and "posed." She also had great ideas for new locations, and I could always tell that she knew exactly what she was doing! The results are fantastic, and I am definitely going to call Lacey when I need professional photographs in the future! read more

I worked with Lacey for a 3-day corporate event covering evening dinners and parties to day time meetings and team buildings. She has been nothing but amazing! Lacey worked really well with the team and was able to just blend in with the team so that she was barely noticed. She was non-disruptive, but at the same time captured the best moments. The photos came out amazing. Lacey made a video for us upon request and was able to turn it around with short notice. She was more than accommodating and has been a true pleasure to work with. read more

Lacey is awesome, she helped me capture the special moment when I proposed to my girlfriend, I couldn't be more happier with the lighting, poses, just everything about the photos are perfect! She's super easy to work with, and makes you feel so confident in front of the camera, I highly recommend her for every occasion! Thank you Lacey for everything! Really all I needed were graduation pictures to put on my announcements. The final pictures that I received from Lacey, though, were so much more beautiful than I ever could have wished and they far exceeded my expectations. And it was all Lacey! She is truly amazing and so much fun to work with! She was able to find exactly the types of backgrounds I wanted and tell me what to do in order to get the best shots. Like I said, my pictures have turned out so much better than I could have imagined. I'm so happy that I was able to find Lacey and spend the afternoon with her taking pictures in wildflowers! read more

I wanted an updated portrait for my blog and I told Lacey what I had in mind. She was super easy to work with and I felt comfortable in my skin with her. I am thrilled with the photos that I received and cannot wait to find another reason to work with her again. Definitely recommend! read more

I found Lacey after contacting a number of photographers on Yelp. I liked the work on her website and her pricing was, in my opinion, very affordable considering her talent and quality plus you get full copyright release for all of your photos without the hassle of purchasing silly "packages" some photographers try to force on you. As for the photos - I adore them! Lacey came to our home and spent 2+ hours with my family capturing newborn, toddler and family shots. My toddler was in a pretty grumpy mood that day but you would never know from the pictures - she was able to capture smiles and happy moments! She responded to emails and texts promptly, was flexible and turned around our pictures quickly. Can't recommend enough and we will definitely be using her again! read more

My husband and I decided to spend our first anniversary in New Orleans. (Plane tickets are paper lol) Neither of us had been and it was on our bucket list of places to travel. I wanted to have some good photographs taken to help us remember our trip and first anniversary. I found Lacey on yelp. I am so glad I did! She was professional and easy to work with. I liked that she took charge of the session and gave us ideas on how to pose, but was also super laid back and open to any suggestions we had. Our photos are absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. She has a wonderful positive attitude and was a delight to work with. I highly recommend her! read more

Booked Lacey for a second time for my "Girls Just Wanna Have FUN" Bachelorette getaway in New Orleans. My girls intended to surprise me with a weekend getaway to my favorite place, but due to my maid of honors inability to keep a secret, she accidentally spilled the beans. I played it off as best I could, but once I knew for sure NOLA was our destination I called Lacey immediately. I wanted to capture the essence of a bachelorette party...girls being girls, having a great time in a killer pair of heels! Lacey did just that! Aside for the sweltering humidity, everything was great! The pictures came out amazing, thank you Lacey for capturing another very special moment in my life! read more

Extraordinary talent with a flare for French Quarter Photography. We met Lacey at a corner bistro with an vague idea about what we wanted our engagement pics to resemble. Through twists and turns down street after street the colors of the Quarter began to come alive. Lacey's knowledge of every impeccably gorgeous back drop is second to none. My soon to be bride and I were given a nice neighborhood tour while Lacey snapped away some of the most breathtaking professional photos we have had to date. read more

I am so impressed with Lacey and her photography skills. I stumbled upon her work searching through Instagram and fell in love with her work immediately. After weeks of searching for the perfect photographer, my fiancé and I finally found Lacey. We met up with her for our engagement session at Audubon Park, and she immediately put us at ease. Our engagement shoot, complete with a stroll in the park and a visit to the ice cream parlor, felt like a mini-date. We had so much fun! We knew our pictures would be in talented hands considering Lacey's blog, but we were blown away when we saw the final product. The pictures capture everything we could have hoped for and more. From the gorgeous lighting to the candid moments of laughter and love, Lacey caught it all. She is a true talent. We highly recommend Lacey, and we hope to keep the privilege of having her photograph our future projects! read more

I am in love with my photos!!!!! I randomly found Lacey's work on social media, and I am so lucky I did. She was so responsive and accommodating. I was looking to take some pretty traditional engagement photos and she was so great about making us feel comfortable and suggesting different poses. She definitely has an eye for amazing quality photos! I cannot say enough great things about her. She even fought through a freak caterpillar bite to finish our session! Could not make that up. So incredibly happy with everything!!! read more

My wife and I signed up with Lacey to do maternity photos before our daughter was born. The photos turned out great and we asked Lacey to do our newborn photos later in the month. She worked with us to make sure she would have time available around the due date and literally scheduled our photo session as soon as our daughter arrived. She came to our home and brought everything we needed (props etc) and spent an entire morning with us to capture the perfect shot for our birth announcements. She also provided us with a gallery and USB so we didn't have to download everything from the internet. We plan to use her for all of our family photos in the future. She is excellent working with dogs, babies, grandparents etc... read more

My wife and I live in PA but we're getting married in New Orleans. We did some research and felt Lacey was the right choice for our photographer and boy were we right. Throughout the entire process she was great. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed. We did not have a traditional wedding and she adapted to everything we did. We had our ceremony at the tree of life and then had a 10 block parade down Bourban street that she captured perfectly. I still don't know how she got so many great shots during all of the chaos. If anyone wants a top notch photographer I highly recommend hiring Lacey and if you don't live in New Orleans fly her to you because she is worth it. read more

Lacey is wonderful! We truly can't recommend her enough! She shot our wedding and she was fantastic! She is detailed, easy to work with, creative and kind. She was calm, cool and collected through out the entire process and was extremely positive and encouraging, which is so great when you are getting married and feeling frazzled. She was even willing to stay a little late at our wedding to get one final shot of our cake cutting. Her second shooter was a joy to work with as well! We've only seen the sneak preview of all the photos so far but we've been so thrilled with what she sent us that we can't wait to see more! read more

Lacey is the best! We were going to be in New Orleans just for a few days and wanted to take some engagement pictures. I reached out to Lacey, and she made time for me during the busy holiday season. My fiancee and I have been on the endless search for a wedding photographer, as we're planning a big fat indian wedding, and knew that whoever we choose would have to be able to capture not only the ceremony shots, but the entire feel of the family affair it will be. We found Lacey on a wedding vendor website and upon contacting her, she responded in the most timely manner out of any of the vendors, and provided us exactly what we were looking for with her portfolio (her having shot an indian wedding previously was a major plus), pricing, and availability. There was no grey area and she was more than willing to work with us to make it a customized package, over multiple days. We just recently completed our engagement shoot and were very pleased with the results. Lacey made sure to make us feel comfortable and confident as she shot us. We are both very excited to see what's in store next year! read more
