After getting our new RX350 home, I started looking for the 3M protective film option from Lexus…read more I saw a strip over the front of the hood, a small oval on the back of each side mirror, small patches behind each door handle, and a patch near each rear panel. I wasn't thrilled about the cost of it or the area covered by the "stickers." It wasn't worth the money!! But, it was better than no protection. Keep in mind: I hadn't purchased a new vehicle since 2008. While continuing to go over the suv, I noticed how bright it was in the front seat. I immediately started looking for what we use to call a "Tint Shop." I called several places and viewed the profiles of many others. Yes! I did check Google, Yelp, and Angie's List. I decided to visit several places. When I got to Sundown Tint & Auto Protection, I was done. These guys know their way around a vehicle! I was impressed with their explanations of tint shades, film types, and termination points. Because of my structural and mechanical background, they were speaking my language. While there, we started talking about paint protection. After explaining what I thought I was getting from Lexus and seeing what I had, I let them install an Xpel Package in addition to the tinting. My tint's flawless. And, so far, I haven't needed the sun visors or side curtains. The Xpel covers the whole front of the vehicle and sides. No termination points are visible. Everything's tucked away behind the panels!!! No air bubbles or wrinkles. Also, they applied a Platinum Fusion coating over the whole vehicle. "It shines more than it did at the dealership." I've read reviews saying that, but I thought it was BULL!! It's not!!! It's true. Abby, Rob, and Matt are the guys that took care of me!! They're very professional and knowledgeable about vehicles and their products. Evidently, they've been together a long time because each guy moves to a certain section of the vehicle, and they shift without getting in each other's way. I've only seen this in machine shops. If you want to really protect your vehicle, and you want it done right, give these guys a call. They know their craft!! It's like bringing your vehicle into a doctor's office.

With my road trip only a few days away, I called Ultimate Tint to see if there was any way they could fit me in. Giovanni was incredibly helpful and graciously worked me in between other appointments. I drove from Uptown to their Gretna location at 2 Westbank Expressway--only about 20 minutes--and the job was completed in just one hour. It looks fabulous! All the windows finally have a beautiful, uniform appearance, and the new tint should make a noticeable difference in keeping the car cooler in the intense New Orleans heat. I was extremely pleased with the customer service and the fair price. I'm also very thankful for his advice in helping me select the right type of tint for both appearance and heat protection. I highly recommend Ultimate Tint. Thank you, Giovanni, for the wonderful service!

We get temperatures in the upper 90s and 100s quite often so there is an urgent need to have protection for the inside of your vehicle. We took my wife's SUV there to get tinted and it was fast, reliable, fair price, and excellent customer service. They explained all the options, didn't try to upsell anything, and had the vehicle done in a good time. They were so good that I'll be bringing my truck there sometime in the next week. Go check them out and invest in tint to keep your vehicle cooler during the summer time.

My experience working with James at Optical Auto was unfortunately very frustrating. After their…read morewebsite and email hosting expired due to NON-PAYMENT of annual third-party hosting fees, they left my business a 1-star review across many platforms. I own a web design company, and their website was completed professionally and remained live for nearly three years. Throughout the project and afterward, communication was uncomfortable and extremely difficult despite numerous emails, phone calls, texts, and voicemails. The annual hosting renewal notices went unanswered, and once the hosting account expired, the provider permanently removed the website and email data. I advised of this via email, text and voicemails. Then over a year later, Optical Auto asked for access to their email. I explained the host deleted it a year ago, then they chose to an unprofessional act of posting a 1-star review of my business. They accepted the simple $800/5 page website proposal that stated "Using your content as the foundation, we create beautiful, responsive and easy to navigate websites...". We even provided SEO-friendly website content as a courtesy to help move the project forward after they would not provide their own content (and suggested we copy content from competitors websites). The proposal also stated $119 would be due annually to renew web and email hosting. After 3 years, they chose to not renew the services. They did not read the proposal they accepted or pay the annual renewals. We work hard to provide professional service, clear proposals, and ongoing support. Unfortunately, this situation resulted from ignored communications, uncomfortable communication and expired third-party services--not a lack of work or commitment on our part.
