SAC is a fantastic club with top-tier coaches! The only reason our kids are not still swimming with…read moreSAC is because we moved out of the country. I'm confused by Peter's review because the coach he is referring to repeatedly reminded parents in weekly emails that "Parents do NOT sit near any practice that is happening on deck. We have a lot of moving parts on deck, you need to stay in your designated area." This is for safety and also so your kids can focus on the coach, and not rely on parent side coaching. Depending on the pool, this designated area was a set of bleachers far across the pool, or seating on a raised deck area. This literally left no opportunity for the coach to sit down and gossip with parents. Conversely, she was also in the water very often with the kids which absolutely leaves no room for side conversations with parents. Our kids received stellar coaching through the 10U, 11-12, and 13-14 divisions. We experienced many different coaches between the two kids during those years and each one brought professionalism, experience, and fun to each practice. SAC coaches care about the kids' mental health, friendships, and love of sport - not just their times in the water. At each level, the kids advance through lessons not only in technique and speed, but also the why and how of swimming and racing. They learn how to plan for each race and keep their own data, how to take responsibility for their swimming, rest, hydration, nutrition, etc. The saddest part of moving 2,200 miles away was leaving our SAC family. If you're looking for a swim club in the area, you will not find one better than the Scottsdale Aquatic Club!

I'm so thankful that I didn't have to pause my training over the winter and was able to attend 5 turnouts a week to keep my skills sharp. I lived in Flagstaff Arizona and would travel 2 hours to play for them and it was well worth it. I then moved to Utah but RPM is still the #1 club for beach so I would travel back to train and play with RPM over winter, spring, and summer break. These are some of my best memories. The coaches at RPM have years of experience and knowledge that they are excited to share with their athletes. They are coaches that actually care and want to help you improve on the court but in all aspects of life too. RPM also has the best family feel, all my RPM teammates are so amazing we become like family even the older or younger girls that I didn't directly play with I have found connections and friendships with. Now that I am in college and no longer officially play for RPM I will forever be a part of the program and I love getting to see my teammates succeed at their colleges. It is true RPM family really is for life!
