The optometrist even took the time to recheck my eyes to ensure I did not have anything degenerative going on. Staff were very helpful and friendly when aiding me to pick out new glasses; and they even adjusted them perfectly to fit my face so they wouldn't fall off when I moved my head around. I had previously gone to another optometrist but felt his diagnosis of my problem was not right. There was no comparison between the two optometrists. At FYI, my exam lasted an hour and she took the time to explain in detail about my vision problems. I would highly recommend FYI Doctors if you would like a honest and thorough exam.

I gave them my glasses for the updated prescription again ...and again they were giving me headaches...so went back in, complained, refunded and had to demand to receive my glasses back...she replaced the old lenses with some ones that were in the garbage can. Went back and a different woman adjusted so that specs ride very high up on nose and chafe my ears as well. Now view through a slanted lens which seems to be not as clear as original position. Will return one more time for fitting or or see if they can replace with correct position. Or will try replacement lenses on my old tried and true frame but if no satisfaction will go back to my old source for glasses. Went to Dr Good in Summerland for second opinion at which time he said surgery was necessary as soon as possible and helped get me on waiting list for amazing Dr Browne. I felt I was treated as a retail patient and not a medical one. The cost for over $400 for a new prescription that last 2 weeks and 6 month delay getting on waiting list for surgery is not acceptable.

I would have found it a bit awkward to put on a mask but if they had a sign up and a more friendly attitude I wouldn't have just left feeling so out of place . They up sell you on everything and convinced me to get progressive lense glasses even though I really only needed readers. (Prescription for distance was for only one eye, and next to nil) Purchased August. 22. 2024 Waited roughly two weeks for the glasses ( not bad ). I was told I had 3 months to try them out. From day one there were problems. After coming back to them on three separate occasions, they convinced me to keep trying them and my eyes would get used to them. Today Dec.3.2024, I went back to them and was told that it was past the 3 month period and that basically the cost for a remedy would be at my expense, and mine alone. Suddenly they have ideas on things that could be done. Redo eye exam, tweek design of the lense, etc... none of these were mentioned when I was there the three times within warranty. They just told me to trust the process and my eyes would adjust. I feel like they strung me along to wait out the warranty. Which I might add would not be expired if they calculated it from the day I received my glasses... Instead of the date of purchase. All very shady business IMO. Not enjoying my $800 glasses that can't be used for reading or distance... They look great on a shelf though...
